Really enjoyed our dinner at Ray's! Been meaning to check it out for quite some time and ultimately it was worth it. Nice atmosphere, really smooth check-in with our reservation, and I found the menu very interesting. We got the goat cheese fritters as an appetizer and they were *delicious*, and I had the frutti di mare which was also really great, plus a nice variety of cocktails. The only slight mark down I'd say is that, considering each section had 2 servers watching tables, the service wasn't really attentive. While our primary server was great with recommendations at the start, we barely saw him after we put in our orders. We were never asked if we wanted another round of drinks and ultimately felt a bit rushed because of that. Maybe it was just a really busy night, but I guess with a nicer restaurant and higher prices, I would have expected more. Would still definitely go back, may just have a different level of expectations.

I had reservations for my sister and myself and we were taken to a table directly in front of the kitchen doors. I asked the hostess for a less noisy, busy place. She immediately accommodated us. I really appreciated that. Too often a woman dining alone or two women dining get the worst tables. I really enjoy Ray’s but would have given a very poor rating if the table had not been changed. Kudos to the hostess!

I had an amazing time at Rays in the City. Jessica, Jade, and Lucion were amazing last night, they catered to my needs and made sure my birthday was very special. Also, all my entrees were delicious.

Appetizer and salad was excellent and it was great accommodating splitting salads since we were having several courses. A couple of us in the party had the blackened grouper which was more hot spicy than blackened. Overly spicy hot. However all else was excellent including the service .

Staff were absolutely excellent. Super friendly and polite and very attentive. Appetisers were really good. Mains were a little disappointing. Restaurant is very nice inside with great atmosphere don’t be put off by the external appearance….it’s really nice inside.

The Fig Old Fashion was excellent! Mercury our waiter was excellent in describing the various dishes. We tried the Goat Cheese Pimento Fritters. At first I was turned off by the idea of pimentos (not a fan) but he described them as a perfect blend of savory and sweet with a creamy center. We tried them and he was right, perfect blend of sweet and savory! We also had the crab cakes and the lemon butter cake with blueberry compote for dessert. Each item was amazing and perfect! We would definitely come back again!

Rays is truly one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to! The service was incredible. The food was delicious. The price wasn’t outrageous. We went for my birthday after sitting us at our table they handed me a birthday card signed by all the hostess staff. They were attentive and had great recommendations, as well as knowledge of the menu and prices. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone!

I brought my father and mother here for Father's Day. The food was delicious and the service was impeccable. They tag team together and they all were attentive. The only thing I complain about was parking. Valet parking is about 20 steps outside the restaurant but the fee was $40. I went ahead and valet parked because I wore heels but there is a garage around the corner, American Mart building 2. I found out that fee was $25. The restaurant should do better about parking. Other than that, I enjoyed it the restaurant experience.

We made reservations for my best friend’s 34th birthday! The ambiance was very elegant and beautiful! We provided two waiters who were very professional! The food was really good and prices was reasonable. I ordered the shrimp and grits, my friend ordered the shrimp scampi pasta and my other friend ordered grouper fish. Highly recommend and will definitely return!

My daughters and I were celebrating their Father for Father’s Day. We usually go to Ray’s on the River and wanted to try Ray’s In The City. This establishment was excellent! So glad we came here. The waiter and the team were amazing. The customer service was exceptional!

Oysters were fresh and flavorful well presented with their juice and three different sauces. Main course was the Frutti di Mare and I was pleasantly surprised. The pasta was fresh made and cooked “Al dente”. The sauce had the right amount of tomatoes and a generous amount of different fishes. Very good Only question mark is why sprinkle it with Parmesan cheese? Fortunately it was just a sprinkle but I think it doesn’t go at all with the fish sauce.
