Charles was fantastic! Noise was a little loud with the piped in music, I asked them to even turn it down once or twice. Food was PHENOMENAL.
Mario and Maggie were incredible, food was amazing and beautiful ambiance
Dining for everyone and every occasion
Thank you Daniel- great service
I went to Ray’s for my sister’s birthday. I found out they still serve raisin bread in bread basket. My previous server Telesa lied and said they did not. Ray’s still gives you a free birthday desert for free. My previous server lied about that also. I really enjoyed my food and so did my sister. The service was excellent.
Overall it was a good experience. The scallops were savory and melt in your mouth like butter. My steak was slightly over cooked. The drinks were delicious.
Recommended Ray’s to a few friends as a dinner option and we weren’t disappointed. Good food and excellent service is always a win.
Great service and atmosphere, the food was fast and fresh, our server was knowledgeable and kind worth every penny
I was celebrating my birthday, as well as, attending a concert in town. My coworker recommended this place and showed me what she had, so I had to go. First thing first, Najee was the very best! Attentive, funny, and very professional! We arrived as soon as the restaurant opened, so it was nice a quiet. We didn’t have to wait long at all for our food either. I cannot wait to return to try other items on the menu.
Wonderful restaurant parking was close great food
I just took my fiance for his 40th bday last night and we were interested because of the menu displayed on open table with the ribs. He loves ribs so I said this would be perfect and the price was great. However, they dont tell you that its only to-go and you can only order seafood when dining in. I thought that was very misleading. We ordered anyway and everything was pretty good but I was disappointed in the lobster mac n cheese. Barely any lobster...it was a few crumbs on top that were stuck in the baked too layer and the rest was just like velveeta shells n cheese. I was looking for it to be as exceptional as Ruth Chris's version but it did not compare and it was $5 more. Other than that the ambiance was great and service was decent. I would like to try Rays on the River to compare.
Amazing Food! Great and attentive service !!!
Ray’s was such a great spot for date night. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and had quite a few recommendations. I had the New York strip and my partner had the shrimp scampi. We throughly enjoyed our food. My partner said it was the one of the best shrimp scampi’s he had ever had
The service is impeccable, the food was amazing and the ambiance just right!
Our waiter was great. Unfortunately I didn't catch his name but he was really exceptional. I normally try to avoid dessert but he talked us into it...glad we did. The lump crab cake was by far the best I ever had only wished they served them in pairs 😋. The fish I had was prepared with a nice crunch.
Down side there is no parking validation for lunch service. So be prepared to pay full price for parking when you find parking.
We have an excellent time at Rays. Our server Hallie was extremely personable professional and outstanding. We enjoyed the barbecue shrimp and grits which is a mustard. We have the porterhouse for two is our entree with some great steakhouse sides and finish tonight with the butter cake dessert. Everything was excellent and the staff went out of their way to make our special occasions truly special.
The food was excellent as always but our service was not good. It has always bee great service.
Great dinner, wonderful service
The staff was excellent. The steak we ordered had no flavor and was not cooked to the correct temperature.
We were seated promptly given we were early for our reservation. After being seated it took 20 minutes for a staff member to attend to us. We ordered waters and drinks which took 15 minutes to arrive. Once the drinks came service picked up but the overall promptness of service was lacking. The gentlemen who helped us had a good attitude and was kind.
Everything was amazing! Our waiter was amazing and food was EXCELLENT!
Excellent food, service, and decor. Mercury, our waiter, was outstanding. Everyone at our table of four loved their meal choices; especially notable were the outstanding salmon and crab cakes. This restaurant is a solid choice in downtown Atlanta!
Excellent service and fantastic food!
Exceptional service! Exceptional food! The house made warm butter cake with blueberry reduction and vanilla ice cream has changed my life forever! Bravo to the Chef's and Pastry Chef!
The experience was lovely. My husband and I went for our anniversary. The food was great and our server was polite. We’ll for sure be going again.
Food was very good but not spectacular. Price was about what one would expect for higher end restaurant. Service was great except bringing out the wrong side item, but that was easily remedied. We over ordered as the sides are quite large. I had the mushrooms, spinach and fries, all good but unremarkable. Overall it was fine but not an experience that would make me go back next time I’m in town.
I can't speak highly enough about my experience. The staff was amicable and attentive. The food was exceptional. I enjoyed the live music they had and how they weren't loud. I highly recommend this place and save room for dessert.
Quite a fish smell as compared to my prior visit, service was a bit slow.
The ATL Downtown area is no longer flourishing and as a result the safety of Rays patrons is at tremendous risk for decline.
First of all and this is VERY important, the menus on OpenTable are all wrong and prices are VERY wrong. We went to Rays because of the prices being very reasonable. When we actually saw the menu it was not the same at all. The server said that is was their take out menu but that doesn’t make any sense. We decided to stay as it was late and didn’t want to find a better place. We decided on the seafood tower which the server said was 135$. It was suppose to feed 4-6 as an appetizer and it was just the 2 of us, so we figured with the prices of other items on menu, we would be close to that money. This included 2 main lobsters , king crab, jumbo shrimp, oysters, and regular crab meat. We ordered it and gave the server our menus , he no sooner returned and said he was wrong it was actually 160$. We already turned in the menus and again it was late and at this point we know we have been bamboozled so we just said ok. The service was slow and the server really didn’t pay much attention to us. The food was ok but definitely not enough to feed 4-6 as an appetizer. We will never go back.
Business dinner with colleagues. Food was great, team of waiters was completely overbearing, communicated poorly, and the lead Alex clearly had low awareness of how he and his team were being perceived. He, in particular, interrupted us numerous times in the middle of sentences and conversations to a point the interruptions became the topic of conversation at the table. At seating, I don't mind suggestions from a seasoned server, but an assumptive order that I have to decline before I've even had a chance to look at the menu isn't a good start. Through the meal, we were asked for cocktail refills to a point it was unwelcome and pushy, and when one of us did reorder, we had to tell other staff we'd already re-ordered with another server as they continued to ask, then remind them that the drink hadn't arrived after 15-20 minutes. And what bar doesn't have the ingredients for a Sazerac? To have the lead server Alex give us a card at the end of a meal and ask us to request his team again was laughable and showed a complete lack of situational awareness of how he and his team affected our dining experience. He did a good job of getting us to remember his name though, so I would highly recommend Ray's and to make sure you ask NOT to be served by Alex and his team. Other times I've been there, with a single server at a bar area table, were completely pleasant and enjoyable. The food was well-prepared and delicious as always.
Thought we were going to a really great restaurant. Ambience was great!
Waiter took our drink order, we received our wine and cocktail but it took 30 minutes to get the water we asked for. Waiter asked if we wanted bread and we said yes. We never received our bread. Food arrived, Filet was supposed to be medium, was medium well at best. We were still eating and we're having conversation and were asked if we wanted to go ahead and get a doggy bag, we were half way through our meal! Asked if we wanted dessert. We ordered keylime pie... They are out because they did not receive their dessert order today. Manager apologized, he took steak off the bill, presented us with a $25 discount card, thought that was extra nice. Arrived back at the hotel to see the limitations on how to use the discount card, see picture. Overall, pretty disappointed with the place, not a place I'll spend that kind of money for a meal.
The food and service was exceptional! Our waiters, Jordan and Edwin, answered all of our questions and made suggestions that satisfied and appeased our insatiable hunger. They were attentive, conversational and made us feel as though we were being served in our own dining room.
Try the calamari and shrimp (appetizer) and the praline basket (dessert) magnifique!!!!
Food was delicious the steak was bomb. The sangria was delightful
We were late diners but we still felt welcomed and taken care of. Food looked great and tasted good. Would come again
Service was fast and food delicious! Will definitely go again 😊
Excellent dining experience
Great location! Very attentive wait staff. Great dining experience!
Our Servers Susie & Mario made it a great evening for my son and I - fabulous service!
The place do not deserve the wait, the food is quite normal
Service is outstanding. Extremely knowledgeable. Food is perfectly seasoned and at an excellent temperature.
