    I ordered Shrimp Your Way and ordered coconut shrimp and grilled shrimp but my order came with fried shrimp and coconut shrimp. They had to bring me the grilled shrimp separately. The food itself was fine. The wait for the food was a little longer than expected given that it was a Thursday night and wasn't too busy.

    We made an 8 pm reservation and when we arrived were told we had to wait for a table to be ready because they were seating people on a first come first served basis. What is the point of a reservation? Utensils and plates were dirty. Some people were requesting plastic utensils because they were afraid to use the cutlery provided. Overall poor experience.

    Food was good. Didn't have to wait long to be served. My husband asked for tartar sauce instead of cocktail sauce and the server remembered when his entree was served. My only complaint was the dining room was a little cold.

    Our meal was fine but there was one issue. We had to wait longer than normal for our meal. The manager came out with our meals. He explained that my lobster flatbread was cooked too well and he asked the chef to remake it. He brought out the overcooked flatbread so I would have something to eat while waiting.

    We went there specifically for the endless shrimp promotion. Food was great; service was subpar. The shrimp and drink refills were extremely slow to come out. I was so disappointed in our server, Carter, that we asked to speak to the manager. All in all, we spent about 2 1/2 there.

    Red Lobster South Plainfield, NJ is a good choice! We ordered two very good meals, the Seafarer's Feast and the Mariner's Feast (both in the $30.00 price range.) One platter was Fried Shrimp, grilled Maine Lobster tail, Garlic Shrimp, and a skewer of 4 fantastic scallops. The other was Fried Shrimp, the skewer of scallops, and Salmon topped with Langostino sauce. Each came with a choice of two sides and the Cheddar Bay biscuits. Our choices were garden salad and mashed potatoes. Everything was very good! Our waiter was new but very concerned about doing a good job; he checked with us several times, and I also heard him asking another customer if his cocktail had come out the way he requested. That customer was also very satisfied and joked with the server. Another server who recognized us (I was surprised by that), came over just to ask how our grandchildren were doing because she remembered their photos from a previous visit. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. The only real drawback to most of the Red Lobster chain is the somewhat dated decor. I can live with that.

    After being seated by the host, no one came to our table to wait on us for 30 min. Multiple customers that were seated after us received service right away. We felt like walking out but I decided to get up and finally ask for service. The gentleman that waited on us was very friendly and apologetic. The food came pretty quickly and overall it was very good. We never received the cheddar biscuits and because we waited for so long to be waited on we didn’t even notice it until after our meal. Not sure if we will come back to this location any time soon.
