always slow service from the waitress' although its extremely quiet. having to flag them down for drinks and orders isnt good when theres only 3 tables. even ordering drinks and they forgot to order them for us. food is good, bench areas were quite dirty but the food was nice and the restaurant was attractive

It was a pleasure eating at this restaurant again. The waitress Gloria was such a pleasant woman. This is my third or fourth time eating at this restaurant and each time has been better than the last. A big shout out to Gloria, though she really made this time memorable!

Located close to the Spanish Arch, it's a new Xi'an restaurant. The menu is a strange mix of traditional Chinese cuisine interspersed with Malaysian street food. The handmade noodles are excellent, just don't have it with duck. Mine were deep fried to a dry crisp. The murtabak was delicious, a version of an Indo-Malaysian street dish. I had a non alcoholic cocktail blended by the house and it was delicious. I'd have rated it 4* if not for the overdone duck but not a bad place for some East Asian flavours on a grey wet evening.

A real Chinese Restaurant in Galway featuring authentic dishes with a Malay influence: an excellent nasi goreng is on the menu for example. Casual, grownup atmosphere though well behaved small children would not feel out of place.

Couldn't find our reservation despite me confirming it and then showing confirmation to staff. Then took ages to fix up a table for us. When we were seated, waited ages for extra cutlery, chairs, glasses and had to ask multiple times. Ordered at 6:55, mains arrived at 8:20 and arrived cold. Literally empty restaurant when we ordered but Deliveroo, etc orders were given priority. Asked for fresh hot rice bit saw waitress microwave rice I sent back. The wait on that meant chicken was then cold. Others in our group of 8 disliked their food and some sent it back. A round of drinks took more than 20 minutes to arrive despite restaurant being entirely empty when we ordered. Staff were friendly and polite but not trained and clueless. Very poor overpriced food, service woeful and cocktails expensive and not very nice. Definitely one to avoid.

My husband and I were so excited to dine in your restaurant. We booked it almost a week in advance. When we arrived we were shown to our table and got our menus. The first thing we noticed was a significant difference in some prices on the menu compared to the menu we looked at online. However, we didn't let that bother us as we were eager to try your food. Unfortunately, we were sitting there for approximately 20 minutes. Customers who arrived after us were having their drinks and food orders taken and we were completely ignored ( bearing in mind the restaurant was not overly business). I couldn't understand how we had not been acknowledged or have at least our drinks order taken. Unfortunately we had no choice but to leave. We were incredibly disappointed. We frequent many restaurants in Galway on a regular basis and it was of great disappointment that your establishment let us down lastnight. I'm writing this review in order for such treatment of customers to be avoided in future, Best wishes Mr & Mrs Walsh

Early evening meal. Would highly recommend this restaurant. The staff were very friendly, efficient and professional. The food was fabulous. We had starters and mains and both were delicious. The drinks menu had a good variety of options also. The decor is sophisticated, comfortable and welcoming. Overall we were very impressed from entering to leaving

I booked a table for six on a Bank Holiday Monday for myself and my family. Overall it was an amazing experience. This is my third time eating at this restaurant. To be honest I adore the vibe of the staff. Each time eating here has put a smile on my face. They were friendly, efficient and mannerly. Although my family and I enjoy spicy food and the food wasn’t spicy it was still really good.

We ordered a position from the menu that was advertised as not spicy, this dish came spicier than dish spice rating of three. The person that ordered this, can't tolerate hot food, so was unable to eat it. We were offered another dish instead or same dish re-made, but since other members of the party nearly finished, there was no point. Spicy chips were severally over salted. Unfortunately we were not offered a discount for the not eaten dish, we ended up paying for the whole dish. All in all, the food is good, but were disappointed that we were offered a replacement dish but not a discount when we declined.

Very straightforward and solid dining experience. Good wine list by the bottle and some cool cocktails. Food was a bit mixed. The crab claws could've been a little less tough; and the lamb shank comes in a curry sauce (so kind of kills the purpose of ordering a lamb shank). Rest of our dishes, especially the noodles, dumplings, vegetarian main course, and the sizzling duck were all excellent! Prices are very reasonable compared to other Galway city restaurants so our meal for three with drinks and a bottle of wine didn't break the bank. Overall, we would highly recommend Re Nao to anyone looking for a relaxed, easy-going night out. My wife is Asian and she absolutely loves it here 😊

From the staff service, to the atmosphere, to the food - every visit Re Nao is fantastic, and I would absolutely recommend. The have a great variety of amazing dishes in their menu, as well as an entire vegan menu.

It was very poor, the place was chaotic, they had given away our table although we arrived 5 minutes before our booking, we waited and eventually got a seat we couldnt wait at the bar because it was packed with dirty glasses. The bathroom was filthy no handsoap there were empty cans and paper all over the floor, people drinking outside by the water were coming in and out using the toilet. Duck dish was rubbery and sauce was watery with no flavour, the pork belly was rubber and not good either. Overall very dissapointing

Very poor experience overall. We had heard good things about the food and booked as a party of 4. We had to wait over an hour after ordering for any food to come to our table. Other tables were sat after us and recieved food before us. When we enquired about the delay we were told ours was being cooked next?! and were given a bowl of prawn crackers as a gesture. When the food came, our order was incorrect, recieved pork instead of chicken and at this point we were so hungry, we ate what was placed. We then ordered 2 cocktails and 2 beers and 5 mins after ordering, we were told that our cocktails would be delayed as another table had a large drinks order in ahead of us. Our waitress also offered to comp the beers(but not all 4 drinks) as another gesture but the beers never made it to the table. After a further 20mins we cancelled the drinks order and paid the bill and left. It didn't seem like there was a restaurant manager in place and the staff seemed overwhelmed. Had a manager been there, I feel the whole situation would have been dealt with better. Very disappointing, won't be returning.

Good variety and quality food. Full vegan menu also available. Excellent service. Good drinks menu and wine list. Bubble Teas is a new thing there and looks very interesting, like a cocktail of liquor and tea.

I ate here with a friend for the first time last night. We were seated at a table with direct sunlight in my friend’s eyes so they allowed us to move which was nice. This was about the last nice thing that happened. They were out of Sake so we ordered wine and received our drinks and appetizer pretty quickly. After that, we did not see or hear from anyone regarding our food for almost an hour. We ordered fried rice so it shouldn’t have been a terribly long wait and we realized everyone else around us had gotten their meals and left. I approached our server to ask about our entrees and she went to the kitchen where I could see in and it was clear they’d forgotten about them. She told us instead that the kitchen was very busy which was untrue as we were sitting right next to it. When the food came out it was hot but utterly flavorless. There was no salt or seasoning at the table so I asked for soy sauce and received instead a dish of chili sauce which was not helpful. It wasn’t worth asking again at that point. Overall a super frustrating experience and the food was not at all worth the wait and trouble.
