   Celebrating my birthday with my family and we picked Restaurant August. My husband and I have here before, but our children had not. But it had been a while since we had been here at all, and it was even more fantastic than I remember. The service was amazing. The presentation of the food was amazing and the food was absolutely delicious.

   The food was great, especially the duck three ways - perfectly cooked and excellent with the foei gras. The truffle gnocchi was a nice appetizer with just the right balance. Service was efficient and ambiance was nice. Next time we’ll come a little bit more hungry and try the chefs pairings.

   I have been coming to August for years and truly love the food here. Recently, we seem to dine here less and when we do, it is out of convenience as our hotel is across the street. I really want to love August but I just cannot see past the almost robotic staff. Despite the great food and beautiful ambiance, the wait staff leaves me cold. There is definitely a get you in and get you out mentality here. There is very little warmth or gratitude from the staff. I have been to too many restaurants in NOLA that are more welcoming than August. This is a very good restaurant in a city full of very good restaurants. August could be a lot more hospitable to its guests.

   From the appetizer to the dessert, everything was awesome. Service was outstanding. Great atmosphere. Not enough time to tell you how wonderful this place was. Next time I come back to NOLA, I’ll book another reservation.

   Portion appropriate, super flavorful cuisine. We showed up early; we were sat right away. Great bourbon and wine list. Three servers took care of us and made sure our experience was exquisite. A great way to end our foodie trip to New Orleans!

   In New Orleans for work and came back with my husband, because last time was so wonderful. It was as great as I remember. The food is fantastic, the service attentive (thank you Thea and Mark), and the ambiance lovely. We made our own food and wine pairing as we can’t eat quite as much as the tasting menu, but decadent all the same.

    Really good meal at Restaurant August. Had their signature Gnocchi for an appetizer, and it was so delicious. We shared the red snapper which was yummy. Fe is an excellent server, very attentive and helpful when making choices. Good selections of wine, as well. The atmosphere was so pretty! Will return next time we're in town.

    Amazing. Simply Amazing. Did the chef’s tasting menu with wine pairings. Very expensive but worth it for a one-time special outing.

    Beautiful space. Great service. Delicious food, drinks, and desserts. The large table in our dining room was filled with patrons almost yelling at each other! It was not the restaurant’s fault, but the 2 hours of trying to speak to my husband on our anniversary and having to say I can’t hear you! was frustrating. Our wait staff was great 😊

    We had the tasting menu. Everything was delicious with interesting twist. The lamb was perfect. Our main server Ben was awesome and the pastry chef should be commended!!!

    Food tasty. However I did check to see if the chef would accept cooking the duck medium well and was assured yes. Unfortunately the middle was rare. Given the small portion I chose to leave it be.

    Our experience rivalled that in many of the Michelin starred restaurants we have visited over the years. The food was extraordinary and the service out of this world! We had the chef's tasting menu with wine pairings. The crawfish tart was especially memorable. Dessert left us a little disappointed, but the fix is easy - just swap a larger portion of the AMAZING pre-dessert with a much smaller portion of the main dessert!

    Best meal of our weekend trip to New Orleans. (We also went to Lilette and Justin.) The food and the service was outstanding. We had the gnocchi and the rabbit for starters, the duck and the snapper for our entrees, the the angel food cake and pot du crème for dessert. It’s a little pricey, but still more reasonable than home (Chicago). So a good value for what it is.

    Four of us opted for the Chef’s menu. It was a positive adventure and very enjoyable. The chef even came to our table to greet us. Needless to say, we felt a little pampered.

    This was our second time having an amazing dinner, experience, service etc. at August. We live in Los Angeles and we would fly back to New Orleans just to have dinner at August! I highly recommend dining at this beautiful restaurant. The food, service and ambience is 5 stars plus!

    We dined here 18 years ago. It is great to note that this fine restaurant has maintained its integrity of fine service and surpassed itself with innovative creations. The addition of a grapefruit based sauce with grouper worked well, and duck done 3 ways sans the usual and clichéd skin was inspired.

    I visited the restaurant to celebrate my friend's birthday. I was happy to taste the food. It was still spectacular as I remembered it some years ago when I last visited. I can't thank the team enough for making him feel so special. My sincere thanks to the female from Wyoming. I think she was one of the managers. 😀 Overall, he was extremely happy on his special day.     Arrived early for our reservation and was seated right away. The chefs tasting dinner was above and beyond our expectations. The wait staff catered to our every need and were so delightful. We have never encountered wait staff whom are so passionate and excited about the food they serve.

    Disengaged staff was the most disappointing. Seated in the back room, which feels like overflow space, when there were open tables in the main room. I had been here several years ago and was excited for the return to celebrate a happy occasion with my grown children. Unfortunately everything, except the food, was underwhelming, to be generous. There are so many choices in New Orleans. As someone who gets to this extraordinary town once every few yrs for a few days, this was a burned night.

    You won’t be disappointed with August. Amazing Truffle Gnocchi appetizer and cucumber salad. As I was the responsible one for choosing the restaurant for dinner, all in our party were grateful for the choice.
