My son and I dined at restaurant 6 on Friday 4th May. Well I haven’t been so pleased with a restaurant for a very long time. Atmosphere was perfect, bright and airy but with a cozy ,intimate ambience .The art of being attentive without being intrusive was very evident in every member of staff. We were very happy with the menu , and the quality and presentation of each course could not have been better. We were served a delightful amuse buche which was a lovely surprise . Very good choice of starters, we chose prawn dish and suckling pig. There were delicious breads served with hazel and mushroom butter, and great choice of main courses. I had hake with avocado crust, and my son had beef cheek . Every morsel was delicious. We had coffee served with chocolate petit fours. We were very happy with our experience and to crown all our bill was under 50 euro!!!! This restaurant is a gem for sure. We were going to the Gate which is directly across the road. As a matter of interest , had we so wished , we could have come back later after the theatre, to have desert , at a very reasonable cost. This meal was from the pre theatre menu. Thanks to all at Six for a lovely evening.
Booked pretheatre for two on Saturday at short notice and was surprised how few people availed of convenient spot so close to Gate. Could not fault food, service, efficiency, value or cleanliness. Will definitely be returning.
What a positive surprise! We got a voucher from our friends - have to be honest didn’t have high expectations, but we were so surprised by the quality of the food! Absolutely delicious starters, amazing mains with beautiful presentation! And yummy deserts too! Will definitely come back!
My Husband (who is a Coeliac) and I absolutely loved it. Its gourmet food for great value. The staff were lovely and very attentive. We booked to go again before we left the restaurant so that's proof in itself. It just goes to show that good food, good wine, good staff and a good chef can make all the difference. We are looking forward to our next visit!
This is a hidden gem, beautiful food in an elegant room
Received a voucher from my daughter for Christmas The food was beautiful but I would have preferred to choose from the menu rather than a set menu the restaurant put together for the voucher.
The staff were very friendly and efficient and I would definitely recommend it
The food was delicious. Not overly expensive. When the starter was taking longer than expected the chef sent out free tasters for the table (we had not complained, we were chatting quite happily). The dessert was beautiful.
I booked a table for New Year's eve for my girlfriend and I. The service was great. The place was smaller than I expected and quiet. The food was very good as well. I recommend it for special occasions.
Unfortunately was a poor experience. Made to feel like second class citizens as using a groupon voucher. Customer service poor. Spoilt a family evening
Wonderful pretheatre dinner experience. Delicious food, beautifully presented and the service was perfect.
We enjoyed a wonderful Pre-theatre dinner last weekend. The service was friendly and attentive with great attention to detail. Overall, it was a lovely experience and we hope to return again very soon.
The atmosphere there is quiet and very decent. The service is also very good and sincere. I order prawns and beef, and both are fresh and delicious. I like the cheese cake too. In all, it gives me a wonderful meal in my last visit day in Dublin.
been there for xmas dinner with another 2 friends , the place is so xmasy nice waitress and really good food. The service was really nice, helpful and friendly! thanks for amazing night !
happy xmas to all ur staff !🎄
We visited the restaurant on a wet and windy Saturday evening. The waiting staff were really efficient and very helpful and pleasant. There was a plentiful selection of drinks and wine and everyone in my group was happy with their food. I would highly recommend a visit there.
Too noisy in restaurant maybe because of big group at back . Service floor not enough staff , they look too busy . Overall good, love the food , especially their presentation, is with heart.
Lovely atmosphere. Outstanding, friendly staff. It is now top of our list for pre-theatre evenings at the Gate .
I had the braised beef cheeks which fell off the bone- delicious! Chef gave us a complementary taster of goat's cheese. Service -very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly.
We visited while in Dublin for 3 nights. The restaurant seemed well reviewed and had a nice looking menu. We booked a table for 7.30pm. It took a long time for them to offer drinks and we had to ask for a wine list.
Unfortunately, there was a large family with three very young children (including one baby) who were rather noisy, which spoilt our meal somewhat. They were in the middle of the two rooms, so there wasn’t any way of avoiding them.
When our starters arrived, they hadn’t even brought napkins over, so I just had to grab a few off the next table as the waiter was gone before I had a chance to ask! We were advised that there was also a private party in another room, and the staff clearly didn’t have the time to look after all of the guests to a sufficient level.
The food was very nice and we both enjoyed it - the amuse-bouche was a nice touch.
I’m sure the restaurant is great when they don’t have multiple large parties, but the service unfortunately let it down on this occasion.
A real find, lovely atmosphere and choice on menu, enjoyed the little pre-starter sample sent by the chef. Perfect for good value pre theatre dining - the Gate is directly opposite. Will be back!
Came from belfast for a girly day and had the most amazing wine and dinner at restaurant Six. The staff are soo attentive and the food is just outstanding.
Absolutely delicious food; generous portions for fair prices, incredibly well prepared.
Lovely food and great flavour, gourmet dining with flavours that Make sense
Excellent in every regard. Highly recommended. You will not be disappointed.
Amazing food with very efficient and friendly service . Lovely restaurant would go back in a heartbeat.
A great find. I read reviews on this place so wasn’t surprised at the fab food. We both just had main courses and found portions a bit big but that’s a good complaint! Service was also very good, very friendly and helpful staff. I’ve already recommended it to friends.
Had a lovely meal here..lovely staff. Would definately recommend..the lamb neck was delicious!!
Really enjoyed the food and the staff were excellent. Local is great. Can't fault it would definitely recommend it .Great atmosphere and not overpriced.
Popped in before heading to The Gate, food was lovely and service was excellent!
A very nice dining experience, only thing that was wrong was that the bread was brought after the soup.
Food was excellent, we had the tuna and it was perfectly done, veggies were not overcooked and everything was very flavourful. Service was very good, and we thought the price reasonable. Located in a hotel its elegant, but not overdone.
The food was excellent and the service it was the best I got In Dublin in 5 years since I live here. I loved the cosyness of the place and I would be recommending Restaurant 6 to all my friends. Matteo and Kamil, our waiters offered a 5 stars service .
