Beautiful food in a lovely restaurant with staff who were so helpful and friendly and also accommodating in making sure we were also on time for our show in the Gate Theatre across the road. I shall definitely be returning.

I ordered the carbonara - as an Italian branded and names restaurant I just didn’t expect yellow noodle like pasta with crispy Parmesan on the top and crispy basil leaves on top. Staff were lovely and service was great but the food really really lets this place down I’m afraid.

Website is confusing over when pre-theatre menu is available (says different things on different pages, could be because of the poor mobile optimization) - it's only Tues-Thurs. But the food itself was good, especially the pesto ravioli and the marmalade pudding.

Overpriced for very average food. Minestrone soup was too thick and like something from a tin. Rosemary fries were just fries with some sprigs thrown in the bowl with them, no flavour whatsoever from the fries. Roast potatoes that came with steak were similar and tasted like they'd been lying around for a while. Wine overpriced, cheapest price for red plonk €40!

Really awful cooking. Dried out salmon. Tiny portions of soup… really poor value. Did not appreciate being told by the manager that restaurant is about to change to less expensive Italian style - due to rising costs of ‘fine dining’. Extremely disappointing. We were not impressed particularly as it was an anniversary night out……

The theatre that accompanies the different courses is wonderful, but, on reflection I’m wondering is it there to deflect from the shortcomings in the value of the meal. We both started with the Arancini, it lacked something to reflect the cost, but the ‘smoke and mirrors’ made it memorable. The advisor had the risotto… expensive plate of rice.. definitely no theatre 🙁. I had the beef cheek, I can’t fault the theatre, myself and neighbouring dinners chocked on the smoke! The meat definitely was tender, but lacked seasoning and taste, I’m glad i had the side dish of mash, otherwise i would have been stopping next door for a ‘subway’ on my way home. Again lacked flavour. The advisor had the tiramisu, she raved about it…dang it must have been good! The wine list…might need a second mortgage, but found a wonderful little Italian for €40… to compare, i would have expected £25 or less in the UK for the equivalent. Overall .. we we were totally overdressed, we didn’t expect it to be a Tshirt and shorts venue, if we go back, we definitely wouldn’t make a effort to dress up, which is sad… but, being us..we probably will still make a effort. Overall..it is a great restaurant that appears to be struggling, which was almost admitted to by the staff, the venue is changing to an Italian restaurant…hopefully not a pizza place 😡. They have their place and few can beat @thevault Banbridge N.Ireland for pizza. Overall it was expensive for what we had, €158, I’d be honest and say, it was worth €100_120 max. There were too many other dinners not impressed either when we visited, sadly most were out of Europe tourists.

How does this hidden gem not have a queue down the street. The food was gorgeous! The staff were excellent! Everything was absolutely spot on. No long waiting times between courses and good value for money. Genuinely can't recommend enough. From a 1st time visitor who will be back! Well done to the whole team!

Booked this restaurant as it was close to our post dinner plans and offered a pre theatre menu on their website, however when we got there they said not on weekends (even though it mentions daily on their own website). I would recommend the restaurant update their website as it is misleading customers (on review afterwards it says different things in two places). Also when we arrived the booking had been changed to an hour later, even though this had never been requested. We were seated but caused confusion when some of the party arrived. Apart from these two errors, the food was nice and the waiter made a good effort to give friendly service. There could be more vegetarian options and the amuse bouche could be offered vegetarian to be more inclusive (pork belly was offered without checking any dietary or religious restrictions).

Decent price / quality restaurant. Service was very rushed. Starter came 1 min after receiving apero. Requested to wait some minutes before receiving main dish but received it directly ( guess it was already on stove). Food itself was OK. Meat quality can be better. Pork belly was not that tender, tasted like is was being kept hot to immediatly serve. 40 € steak (rib-eye) was quite thin and was grilled with a heavy charcoal taste. Sauces were good. Expected more but was quite mediocre.

We went to the pre theatre menu, we had reviewed the menu before getting to the restaurant, on the website site the deal was 2 courses and from the layout it looked like dessert was also an option on the pre theatre. We requested a main course and dessert, the waiter said no, it was not on the pre theatre’s menu, I showed the website and a supervisor came over with an iPad and showed us the menu and explained that because the prices were on the desserts they were not included. The supervisor was very assertive and there was no room at all for flexibility, there were two other tables occupied with a total of 7 people in the restaurant, I’m sure the kitchen could have been more accommodating. It was very disappointing, the food was lovely and the restaurant too was as very nice but the attitude of the safe was appalling, we will not be going back.

Food was beautiful, not a massive menu but what we had was top quality. Wines are expensive, €10 for a glass of an mediocre Malbec is a bit steep. Bill was €168 for 3 courses, 4 glasses of wine and 2 coffees. Very good but not the best value in town.
