We returned to Florida from the Northeast after a 2 year absence due to the pandemic. One of our first restaurants to visit was Ristorante Farfallas. The food, as usual, was delicious and so great as we remembered it. Give this restaurant a try you will NOT be disappointed!!😍👍
Great dinner with friends enjoying a birthday celebration.
Very nice restaurant. The decor is pleasant and the room is very nice. The menu is first class and the food expertly prepared. There is a superb chef in that kitchen I’m sure. It’s unique in terms of options, preparation and presentation. It was our first time, but we will definitely be going back again.
Nice quiet Italian restaurant. William, the server was very attentive. Menu is adequate.
Great meal, service and menu.
Chef/Owner takes a lot of pride in his food and restaurant. His careful attention is appreciated. Staff is gracious.
Small portions for high price, and service was very slow
New Year’s Eve dinner, food was cold and was sent back. Waiter knocked my knife and fork on floor, never replaced u til end of meal. 3 out of four of us had cold, dried out food. Shrimp bisque was like old dirty dish water. No sauce on pasta. Disappointed beyond words. Will never return.
We arrived at 910 for a 930 reservation. They refused the seat us!!!
Absolutely exceptional food , atmosphere, and service . We have seen this place thrive for 24 years and has never been ! Never will make the mistake of not trying out a gem like this place for so long again . Cannot wait for the next meal !
Service was superb, old decor. A little loud but still able to talk amongst the table. Way overpriced wine and for the money there was very little food on the plate. Some very strange entries combinations. Over all disappointing experience.
We were seated close to others, which is not recommended in a pandemic. Menu was limited and our waitress was distracted and asked if we had room for dessert even before we were served our main course. The food was good and not excellent for the price. Would want to try it again on a regular day.
Christmas Eve dinner was very busy but the food was worth the wait
Service was not very good. Food was good.
We went here Christmas Eve for my husbands birthday (Christmas day) as it was one of his favorites in Estero. Sent a balloon bouquet early on to surprise him and the woman did not want to accept them. Stated to the delivery lady "were to classy of a restaurant for balloons". LOL
After our horrific experience that evening I assure you there is nothing classy about this restaurant ! We were finally seated (late) fine it happens, not even a glass of water for 20 minutes. Waiter finally shows up to take our wine order, never received that either after almost another 20 minutes. Tried to wave down others for help, useless. I did see a woman (owners wife perhaps?) going around apologizing to other tables around us. When we called that evening afterwards whomever answered replied with, oh well tomorrow night will be better. Perhaps but I advise you not to go find out. We and another cpl walked out at the same time while they were still accepting reservations for that night. We will miss the good food but going out to eat is also about the experience.
Excellent food and service on Christmas Eve. A fabulous venue!
We went here on Christmas Eve. We literally were one of the first reservations sat for dinner. The place itself needs a complete update. Very old and outdated. The host was cordial and tried to keep the pace but with only 2 servers and 1 busser it just doesn’t work on a holiday. Our server was completely overwhelmed and by the time the entire dinner was over the place was over sat, people waiting outside and no one around to get the checks to the tables and tables cleaned.
The food was mediocre. My sea bass was dry and over cooked. The lobster ravioli was hard on the outside probably from being under a heat lamp too long. Again, short staffed so food sat too long. We had our appetizer plates still on the table when the food came. Again short staffed. The menu was a “special” shorter one for the holiday. This probably should have been told ahead of time but they didn’t.
The experience was under whelming and over priced . Sorry but probably won’t ever go back. Maybe if they changed some things I would try again. Just too many other places to try around here.
We asked for a quiet long dinner which gave us opportunity to sample each type of meal, similar to actual Italian Italian dinner. We had the antipasta for two and a ceasar salad. The antipasta had several meats, roasted peppers, cucs, tomato and homemade mozzerella cheese. The three of us shared a plate of homemade fetucini with marinera meat sauce followed by veal marsala with scalloped potatoes and grilled vegetables. All portions were absolutely delicious and our server, Jenni was professional and very accomodating. Thank you for a fabulous dining experience.
Chef Mike is a gem! Every dish had so much flavor, and he stands by every dish as he prepares each himself. Ristorante Farfalla was such a pleasant surprise and a welcome change to all the chain restaurants. If you are looking for delicious Italian food, look no further! We look forward to eating here again!
Wonderful Italian food. The chef has been there almost 24 years and makes wonderful wonderful dishes
1st visit, great food. alittle slow on service but not bad at all
Great food, good service, good value. Good wine selection at good prices
Local? Excellent? You got that right here!! Nice wine selection too! We love it!! (Besides, it’s right around the corner?)
We've dined several times over the years. Great to be back in house. Several of their support sites (Yelp, Trip Advisor) do not have their current menu. I reviewed earlier to select my dinner. 2 items were not on the current menu. Beryond, dinner was a pleasure.
Great little find. Excellent friendly service did not push you to leave. specials were a little pricey, but overall excellent experience
We love this restaurant. We definitely did not love last night, Christmas Eve, however. Service was absurdly slow. There were only two servers for a packed house. Our reservation was for 5:30 and we arrived on time. We sat at our table for 20 mins. before we even got water. At about the 40 min. mark, they took our order and, about 10 mins. later, they brought us the wine we ordered. We ordered calamari as an appetizer. It arrived 15 mins. after the wine, greasy tasting, not hot, and no sauce. We asked for the sauce. It arrived 5 mins. later, not even heated through. The Gorgonzola salad was great. The veal was called a “rack,” but was one Frenched-bone chop. It was delicious. The “rack” of lamb consisted of 4 lollipop chops, also delicious and perfectly cooked. Each entree was $39, a bit pricey for what was served. We would have gotten dessert, but after saying we’d like to see the dessert menu and waiting 15 minutes without finding out about dessert offerings, we said “never mind” and asked for our bill. You got it….it arrived 10 mins. later. Not once did our server ever stop by to check on us and how the food was. We left at 7:45. During our two-plus hours there, we watched 4-5 tables of people get up and leave because they had no food, no attention, and no apologies. They were ignored. The sad part is that the chef-owner has been in business in that location for 24 years. This was our third Christmas Eve with him. He had to know what to expect, and even hiring just food runners and people to clear tables would have been better than nothing. It was an infamous experience. So sad.
Food was prepared perfectly and was very good. Desert was excellent as always. We go here allot and always enjoy talking to Michael and his staff.
The entrees were very good. The wine list is excellent. Oye servers were helpful and attentive
The penne al la vodka had to be returned, poor taste, color and quality. The entre portions were small. The service was great so we will give it another try.
They forgot our entre and came asking about dessert.
Food rushed and not as good as in the past.
Come from NJ often and the restaurant on my go to list, now need to reconsider.
No one said, sorry.... dessert or coffee or appetizer on us which is what I expect when restaurant makes such an egregious error.
Enjoyed a fine dinner for a reasonable price. My new go to restaurant.
We have been coming to Farfalla’s for 15 years and have never been disappointed. Chef Michael is a treasure and his staff is always welcoming and attentive.
A great little restaurant. Always great food and the cleanest kitchen you will ever find in a restaurant. Special salad was excellent and the black grouper was terrific.
Great restaurant and personalized service. Always a treat
What a hidden gem in Estero. Friendly efficient staff. Beautiful food presentation and simply superb taste. I will become a regular.
Great food artfully prepared. I ama sucker for Italian, but this was well done. Good attention to detail
Exceptional service and great food!
The entree was excellent, but a little slow to prepare. The appetizers were ok. Thanks
