Roberta's Ratings and Reviews
First time in Robertas. The restaurant and bar layout is lovely. But I think the service is lacking. We were 40 mins at the table before our food order was taken. And again when ordering drinks during the meal I was 10 mins waiting for drinks to arrive. The food itself is lovely and our waiter was very friendly when we saw him.
The service at the bar itself was again very slow. We were actually waiting so long for a drink we decided to move on.
Overall, Robertas is a lovely setting. Food is top notch but service needs to be improved on.
Outstanding food and wine choices. The quality and knowledge of the waiting staff was exceptional. The particular waitress who served our table was outstanding and I would highly commend her. Wine list was varied and good value. I would recomnend the Montepuliacno. Main Courses were very tasty and good value. If I had a gripe it would be that the starters were too fish orientated and thus I didn't have a great choice. Overall a very pleasant dining experience.
Very over priced food and wine.
Nice dining room and decor but very cold where we were sitting and even after asking our waiter if a door could be closed behind our table, it was still left open.
Rushed off our table at short notice despite not being told a specific time the table was needed back at the start of our meal. Told we could then finish our drinks at the bar but no seats available there so we had to sit outside in the terrace where there weren't even any functioning heaters.
I will not be returning to Robertas.
Excellent meal. Quick service. I really like the menu here but I was disappointed that my two first choices were both unavailable. We were in a late sitting (9:30) but if you're going to take late sittings you need to have enough prep done. Especially as the excellent menu is not vast. I also think Roberta's has the best smoking area in Dublin.
Excellent spot with a great energy and, the customer service was very good. The food I ordered was good, but the menu lacked any decent vegetarian options - perhaps this is a teething problem and will most likely be resolved down the line as the place is not long open.
I booked for a group for my birthday. Service was excellent , layout of seats and decor was cosy, Comfortable and sociable. The only downside was my maIn couare. It was essentially roast chicken with bland watery gravy, and not like what was described on menu. It was edible but disappointing.
Trendy stylish bar with delicious cocktails. Service was pretty good. My food selections were overall very disappointing. Would probably order pizza or salad next time as my cod (main) was tasteless and my iberico ham ( starter) lacked flavour. I wouldn’t recommend for dinner or any special occasion.
I've been here before on business in the evening and had no issues but this time on a Sunday lunchtime it was different. Firstly, my wife found out that she'd sat on chewing gum on a bar chair and this was met with something akin to 'oh well it happens, send us the dry cleaning bill'. The drinks order at the bar was wrongly delivered and after we sat down, I found the waiters quite aloof, impatient and intolerant when taking orders. The food took longer than usual which was surprising as it wasn't that busy and was only the brunch menu. The food and surroundings were as good as ever though.
The food was great but the experience not so good. I get that restaurants want to turn around tables fast but 2 hour slots for meals do not make for a relaxing experience. We wanted to have a drink after we had finished dinner as we normally would in a restaurant. Not a whole session just a drink. But we were moved off the table and could not get seats in the bar. We asked staff if we could sit back down as our table was still empty but they said no. We then asked could we have to space at the bar vacated by the next occupiers of our table, the staff said we could but then disappeared not to be seen again. It seems you actually have to reserve space at the bar.... We stood to finish our drinks and then left. So while we enjoyed dinner the after dinner experience spoiled that for us.
Loved Roberta's. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I was with friends for dinner and we arrived early. We ordered drinks at the bar and went to our table when it was available. The food was excellent. There were 3 vegetarians and we each got what we wanted! The only thing I would say (it's not a complaint) the menu could use another veggie starter option but the one available was delicious. Can't wait to go back!
Maybe the dinner menu is better but we felt the brunch menu was very limited. My 2 friends ordered the avocado toast with a side of smoked salmon but the salmon was served on top and 'cooked' the salmon which they found unappetising. The bread underneath was also soggy. I had no complaints with my sausage muffins. We were disappointed that the waitress didn't ask was everything ok when she cleared away 2 nearly full plates of food. Loved the atmosphere but wouldn't come back for brunch.
I've been to Roberta's for drinks but this was my first time eating there. I only had pizza but it was very tasty. Overall it was a good night and I will definitely go back to try some other items on the menu. You need to book in advance to get in, just a tip!
Lovely place, the décor was so nice and I loved our table sitting looking out over the river. Great selection of wine and the food was good although the red peppers in my dish (that days special the sea bass) tasted like the ones out of a jar!! Could be wrong though...
But really nice and I look forward to returning.
I've been to Robertas 3 times now and sadly it will probably be my last! It's a great venue, staff are good and atmosphere is great too...... the food lets it down. I was sorely disappointed by brunch but gave the dinner menu a go.... it was fine! If I go back again it'll be for drinks only.
Venue looks great and has a good vibe but the food and menu options are not up to the same quality.
Waiting staff could also be friendlier. Waitress unwilling to substitute one form of potato for another with the main course - "we can take away but not substitute" - which seemed strange for a new place and was unwilling to check with chef.
Main course of seabass was very dry and lacking.
Food also presented a way too quickly after ordering, as if pre-prepared (possibly prompting the 'no-substitution' rule'!
Beautiful venue in a well located spot. Food was delicious. Loved the duck heart starter. Dessert was a little bit disappointing in comparison to the starter and main. Service was excellent and special word of thanks goes to Rafa for looking after us so well. Will be back!
