Roberta’s Restaurant and Rooftop Bar is a beautifully designed space, with contemporary cuisine served to you beneath a bespoke glass ceiling! Nestled between 1 East Essex St and Wellington Quay, this spacious eatery is open for dinner 7 days a week with brunch served at the weekend.

Head Chef, Troy Watson, has put together a brand-new menu, packed with flavour and tasty fare. Aside from a nice variety of gorgeous mains, you can also try out the beautiful, fresh wood fired pizzas from the pizza oven!

Roberta’s is filled with volumes of natural light pouring through the fantastic windows on either side of the building – and through one of the key focal points, the breath-taking glass atrium style ceiling. The sky stretches out above you as you grab a comfortable booth, sink into a cosy chair with a frothy beer or a crafted cocktail on the courtyard style terrace, or pull up a stool at the bar.

Overall a great venue in a good location in Temple Bar. However one of the party had "spicy" chicken pizza which was in no way spicy. This was the only disappointment as the rest of the food was excellent. We did complain about the pizza but no allowance was given on the bill.

We had a get together with a group of friends and shared pizzas and the crab salad - all very tasty. I definitely would return to try more dishes. Service was very friendly and well-timed and we had a lovely table overlooking the Liffey. I will be back.

While the food was great and the waitress did a great job serving about 10 tables on her own, I was really disappointed being stuck in a room out the back rather than the main bar/restaurant area. Whilst it was Valentine's day so I anticipated a packed house, having made the booking 6 weeks in advance and chosen Roberta's specifically for the atmosphere, I did not expect to be stuck in a side room that more resembled a Granny's living room. All the energy of the music in the main bar was lost and so as the night went on and the conversation increased the atmosphere became more of a school dining room.
That said, the food was great and we couldn't fault the service.

Went here on Valentine's night with my partner. The restaurant had made no effort for the occasion (which is fine I guess). With the exception of my Ravioli starter the food was just ok but nothing memorable. The cocktails were again ok but not special. We had a bottle of NZ Sauvignon Blanc which was tasted cheap but was about €35 if I remember. If I was going back here again I would just get a pizza and a beer. I do like the interior and the vibe and staff were friendly. It is better to think of this place as a bar with food rather than a restaurant - just my humble opinion.

Very good table service and the food couldn't be faulted. Was actually surprised in a nice way with how quick both the starters and the mains came out from the kitchen, especially as the place was extremely busy. Portions were also just right. We'll be back again for sure.

Lovely evening - only drawback our booth was very big for only four and close to ladies toilet.
Otherwise felt like we were inNYC

Staff was very nice. I enjoyed the food and drinks. I thought however the food is pricey. For the price of one main course I can get 2 courses in a just as good restaurant elsewhere. The ambience is fabulous.

Venue is good with the bar also. Food was just very average. I got the sausage pasta for main & there was barely any sausage in it. Got the financier dessert. Financier's were nice but a bit of a bizarre combination with creme anglaise & sorbet. Disappointed with the food hence would not be in a hurry to go back, despite the good venue.

Rushed !!! Told at 8:20 that our table would be needed at 8:30 although we were told nine . Only finished our main courses at 8:20 due to slow service (didn’t have time for desert) . Robertas is a beautiful restaurant but that’s about it . More customer focus needed . I can see this place fizzling out .

The food
Bread - two mini loafs of brown bread looked nice , however tasted stale and very hard to cut .
Starters -were nice I had the pork belly and lentils and my friend had the braised beef .
Mains - Pizzas - Not great , nothing special , could of got nicer elsewhere or out of dominos .
Sides - chips were delicious ! We also ordered tempura courgettes that never arrived ( we were not charged )
Dessert - couldn’t have as we had 10 minutes go get it and eat it .

Cocktails - Delicious

Bill was €84 - we did leave a tip as the waiter was nice and it wasn’t the waiters fault as to why we had to leave or why our main was slow coming out .

Would I recommend ? No

Why ?
Can get better service /food for a fraction of the cost elsewhere in Dublin

This is a must when it comes to either a night out with the lads/girls, a romantic date or even an organised work night out! The bar is definitely an eye catcher you will definitely feel the need to have a closer look. The food was great and the staff were fantastic.

We brought the children into Robertas for Daddy’s birthday. We had a wonderful brunch, the setting is fabulous and the views amazing. We where so well looked after by the staff. We will come back again soon.

The mushroom linguine was wonderful however the experience was rather disappointing. I had booked in advance for my mums birthday so I thought we’d get a nice enough table. Instead we were brought over to a fairly basic looking small table with loads of empty seats/nice booths around (but with no people in them). We felt excluded from the buzzing atmosphere you see when you first enter and instead we were in a whole section on our own for the entire evening which was right beside the staff station.

Food was average and a bit over priced. I was hoping for a better experience overall as it looks great on Social Media. The only thing that was exceptional was the interior and the decor of Roberta’s. If your looking for great food I would recommend trying somewhere else as the food isn’t great but if your looking for a nice bar I would recommend!

Poor variety in the menu. Pizzas used to be very tasty, not anymore. Value vs quality is not balanced.
Good place for drinks though.
