Being seated in the worst table at the kitchen door was not a good start . I noticed many empty tables that were never filled so putting us there made no sense . Pizzas were adaequate and Parmesan fries looked nicer than they tasted as they were very dry. It's a nice space and perhaps a table on the Liffey side would have been nicer . Disappointing as it's close to where I live and I'd hoped to be a regular .
Had a really lovely meal in Roberta's over the weekend. Really cool venue. We both just had a pizza each (The Chorizo & The Parma Ham) along with the parmesan fries and everything was really delicious. Only fault was the espresso martini wasn't very good. It was a bit watery. Aside from that everything was positive.
The venue decor is nice, the atmosphere is lively and the food is good/average for a city centre restaurant.
They are the only good things that I can say about it.
The service is mediocre, at best.
The wine list is average/poor and seriously over-priced.
My friend and I could hardly hear each other talk, thanks to a combination of the DJ starting up and two very drunk tables close to us.
The restaurant was also uncomfortably warm.
Overall, it was a poor experience and I will not return.
Really nice decor, similar to Angelina's (same owner). Very nice staff. Great vibe, gorgeous bar. When I went I was disappointed by the lack of vegetarian or pescatarian options but the next week they added a vegetarian menu so I will absolutely go back and try it ! Really nice for a date night or a night out with friends in a beautiful location. Very well situated right in temple bar neighbourhood.
The food was very good : the focaccia was amazing, the pizza was slightly too wet/soggy but the taste was spot on and the ingredients were extremely fresh and tasty so I blame the "sogginess" on the fact that the kitchens were overly busy and maybe the pizza needed a slightly hotter oven or just a bit more time in the oven.
The stratciatella was divine too. Highly recommend it as a starter.
Pasta dish my partner had (pork orrechiette) was apparently very tasty and perfectly al dente.
A bit disappointed by the ice-cream Sundae but overall a very nice evening!
I had a dinner in the place - the food served was very poor ,poor quality of some of the starters and small portions , main dish lamb was like a chewing gum - overall a bad experience and a pricey one (>100 euro without dessert or bottle of wine just 2 cups)
The place itself very noisy and not suitable for evening dinner but more for pizza and cocktails in a vibrant environment - bottom line i can not recommend the place for a dinner maybe for a pizza and cocktails it is better
Lovely room, very attentive and friendly service. Bar in centre of room with DJ doesn't lend I them self to an intimate dining experience. Some issues with food, very creamy lunguine dish not really outlined as such on menu, however, manager very graciously discounted bill. Delicious dumplings and lovely "Iberico Secreto" slices of rare pork with a fennel salad.
A lovely venue. Great use of space and decor and extremely comfortable. The food was okay but nothing memorable. The Staff were a little slow and made some mistakes with our order, but overall it was a good experience and I would go back to give it a second chance. Once they get some teething problems sorted out, it could be a great place to dine out. It has lots of potential!
Had an amazing special dinner with my girlfriend. Staff was very friendly (thumbs up for Jana) and very aware of the plates and how they were cooked. The ambience is great, lots of space and well modern decorated. If you know and like Sophie's (same branch/owner) you're gonna like Roberta's.
Lovely evening with friends. The food was very tasty Crab Salad and the Pot Stickers with Pizza for main course. Very filling and no room for desert, unfortunately. There is background music but didn't distract from the conversation. Lovely to be in restaurant where there was good space between tables so that you don't feel you are eves dropping on others. The tables looking out on the Liffey looked to be in high demand and next time I'll ask for one of those.
