   My starter was fabulous , but unfortunately the main wasn't, I chose a fresh pasta parmesan with pine nuts and sundried tomatoes but the dish was swimming in oil , everything was drowned in it. There was no mention of oil in the menu description , I just think its very unhealthy to have a dish swimming in so much. The necessary way to eat spaghetti ended up in me getting oil on my jumper and I don't know if I will be able to get it out. Our dessert was fab , passionfruit cheesecake, that was really nice.

   Menu was not the same as shown on Open Table. The menu we were given on the night was very limited and overpriced. Thankfully, we received a table in the bar instead and food was delicious.

   It was nice, the food was lovely and the staff were friendly. There just weren't enough of them. We were standing at the door for a few mins before anyone approached us to seat us. We ordered drinks, which never arrived and had to order again, which then arrived about a minute before our main courses did. The food itself was lovely, had steak. Really nice. The menu in the bar had more variety, but couldn't fault the quality or quantity of the portions. We ordered digestifs, which never arrived and when we went to pay the bill, the wrong drinks were on it. It just seemed a bit understaffed, and maybe another couple of staff members would have had it running smoothly. Overall. I would eat there again. The food was nice. Just needed a couple more staff members to manage it slightly better.

   It was very nice service was very good overall I really liked it but only thing that would make it better is more options on the menu. We only had a limited amount of options and just in that case we weren’t too impressed but overall it was a great experience

    The salmon was deliciously prepared and presented, but the sirloin was chewy and lacked seasoning. Also, the wine menu needs updating as it didn't match the actual selection on hand. Oh..and the mussels...divine!

    A little more training would not go amiss, however given the shortage of staff availability, it is understandable that anyone with a pulse is hired during these strange times. I waited to ask a question about my reservation, Teo ladies were not busy but were both making drinks or something, I would expect one of them to acknowledge me. I didn’t order dessert but some in my party of 7 did, I said I didn’t want anything but that my twin and I were celebrating our birthday, no acknowledgement, a nice touch would have to grab a slice cake ( value to hotel 90cent) All good, people living in tents and cars so no real reason to complain! We were born 71 years ago one door down from the hotel, first twins on Dalysfort Road.

    Wonderful meal yesterday with family. Lovely atmosphere and the food was delicious. Staff were exceptional - pleasant, accommodating and knowledgeable. Will definitely return and would highly recommend.

    Was disappointed with evening dinner, as I had booked bed breakfast and evening meal the menu was not very good, very little choices and the food I did choose was not great, we got chips which were rock hard, I asked for burger from the bar menu but was told that they couldn’t serve it to me in restaurant, I liked the hotel it was a lovely place to stay but I wouldn’t order any food other than breakfast which was good, for the money I paid we should of had a better choice of dinner

    We had a lovely dinner last night the restaurant was beautiful and the service and staff were brilliant so friendly. My only advice would be to offer a few free from options as my daughter has a dairy allergy and I would have loved to have had the option to give her a choice of foods. Other than that our meal was beautiful thank you

    Inadequate staffing, poor coffee, no signage on foods like bread etc to distinguish if gluten free / dairy or not. Juice not fresh. Porridge a congealed mess. Individual jam pots on table with broken seals not replaced. Irish breakfast a poor effort.

    The salmon was nice but everything else was disgusting. Calamari tasteless and stringy, beans and potatoes smoothed in too much oil inedible and cheesecake was disgusting. Certainly not worth the €30 the manager insisted I pay. Stay away

    We got a Groupon voucher as a gift which included dinner in this restaurant. On arrival at 7.30 the restaurant was almost empty, very quiet and zero atmosphere. The offer we had was a 2 course meal, we were given a set menu which was very poor choice and different to what's advertised on the website. For me this menu was not what you would expect in a 4star hotel. As we didn't like anything on this menu we asked could we eat in the bar instead and they agreed. The bar was much better, lots of atmosphere and the food was good(usual bar food) the staff were the real added value, so helpful, fast and sound! Tom in the bar was 100% the best thing about our dining experience!!

    Had to call staff members down when we wanted to order. Never got asked were we ok for everything. Stayed in the hotel and that was brutal. Over all a crap experience and over priced. Was planning a wedding in 2021 but definitely not here now

    Absolutely fantastic all round. Food was divine, customer service was excellant. I had lunch both days & dinner in the Salthill Bar another night, same response- everything was outstanding from staff to food. Very high quality & excellant standard.

    We had 3 lovely nights bed and breakfast and a evening meal the hotel is in a great location and from the minute we arrived to when we left the staff couldn't have been more friendly they definitely have great friendly staff and there was nothing to much trouble for them we will definitely be going back

    Not enough staff in bar. Waited 25 minutes for order to be taken and then a further 10 minutes for drinks order. Had to request condiments when dinner arrived.. overall very poor service and disappointing

    Enjoyable despite COVID-19. Limited menu, but understandable given the times that are in it. The staff were excellent and the service was first rate. The food was well presented. All round an most relaxing evening.
