We are proud to offer you an exclusively Australian wine list showcasing local winemakers and growers. Our seasonal food menu is flexible for traditional 2/3 course dining or sharing amongst friends. When it comes to cocktails, hell, we like making them almost as much as drinking them. Our cocktails incorporate Australian boutique distillers and we keep it simple. We strive to support sustainable companies that produce quality flavours.

Set within an original terrace house built in 1895, Shadowboxer is a relaxed yet refined space with a sunny two tiered terrace out front, and two dining spaces inside with banquette seating.

Food was lovely. Just not a fan of Sunday surcharges. Extra staff costs should be incorporated in menu prices throughout the week. Unfortunately every restaurant does this now though which is turning a lot of people off Sunday nights out.

Truly the epitome of wonderful Melbourne hospitality. The staff are lovely and have a top tier knowledge of the food and beverages on offer. The space is ambient and comfortable, with not too much background noise. It's the perfect place for a martini with a plate of oysters on a warm afternoon, or the full dining experience in the evening. Brilliant restaurant, looking forward to visiting again soon.

Lovely Barramundi with pes puree was delicious, with sides of brocollini and brussel sprouts. What is so good are the sauces which come with each dish. Cery tasty and reasonable size as well. Outdoor dining area is also very enticing.

The food was exceptional and good value for money and the serb-vice was also great. The wine list isa bit too extensive, difficult to read due to the tiny print and very expensive. It was very noisy but probably expected given it was NYE.

Impeccable service and delicious food. We stumbled on a real gem with Shadowboxer. We loved it so much we came back twice in our short visit to Melbourne! We tried almost everything on the menu and you can't go wrong with any of it. Nick at the front of the house is a real darling and took great care of us. One of the highlights of the trip!

Food is absolutely fantastic, huge wine list and knowledgeable Somme. Staff are super friendly and always happy to have a chat. food isn’t cheap but it’s not outrageously priced either. Couldn’t recommend enough for a date night or night out with friends
