We offer fresh, authentic, rustic Palestinian & Middle Eastern food with a hint of the Mediterranean. Pomegranate, sumac, almonds, za’atar, mint, lemons, figs, pine nuts all add to the smell of real Palestinian food, that you can enjoy in our eclectic restaurant. The décor is based on a Bedouin tent merged with pieces from “one thousand and one nights” (and no we do not have a flying carpet).
We had a lovely meal, very pleasant service and good food, most enjoyable, looking forward to the next occasion.
We’ve been many times as we love the food, but a small criticism this time is that we just wanted Mezze. You have to order a minimum of eight dishes, which actually means ELEVEN plates arriving at once. Totally unworkable on a small table and too much food for two people. You live and learn.
The food was outstanding. We went in there for the first time as we were in Dublin for a few days and we were pleasently surprised! The staff was really nice and very friendly. The price of the food was an outstanding for the amount of food that we were given! I can't wait to go back to Dublin just to try out another dish from their menu! 5 out of 5!
Lovely night at this restaurant. Food was delicious and service faultless. BYOB is always an added bonus. Very cosy and lovely atmosphere. Would recommend.
Booked for a party of 4 for 18/8/18 @ 19:30. While there was a mixup with my online booking and our booking was rescheduled it was so worth the wait. The food and service could only be described as superb.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant for Palestinian/Lebanese cuisine and I would seriously recommend everyone try it as I'm relatively new to this cuisine but it's now my favourite. Shakshuka is an absolute gem.
Good overall except that despite getting a confirmation email from Open table the restaurant did not know I was coming or had a reservation! Took a while to sort out but that was the only complaint I would have.
Fabulous. Best Middle Eastern food I've had outside Lebanon
Excellent food, excellent service, reasonable prices for the context. A bit limited space but that's also character. Overall a great experience!
After previous visit suggested we met friends in this restaurant. We had really enjoyed our previous meal. On this occasion food was not as good. Salads looked a bit jaded. Portions small and overall a disappointment. Perhaps the chef had a night off but after recommending it to our friends we were disappointed.
I lived in Palestine and Syria, and miss the Middle East, so it’s lovely to experience the warm welcome and delicious food of the region In this restaurant.
Very impressed with food, staff and location. Definitely will be going there shortly.
A fine little restaurant with perfectly presented dishes.
Absolutely amazing food here at Shakshuka. Couldn’t recommend it enough and can’t wait to go back!
Shakshuka is a lovely place in Rathmines, the waiter was very friendly and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious. We will be back.
Very fine Palestinian dishes, great knafeh. Perfect service, very kind owners.
This was our second visit and it’s already become a favourite. We lived in the Middle East for two years and miss it, so the food and warm welcome here takes us back those happy days. An authentic experience.
This was my second time to dine at this restaurant. I brought 6 friends with me this time. Every one of us were in agreement with this review. - Wonderful food. Full of fantastic flavours. Lovely friendly atmosphere and extremely good value for money. Looking forward to returning very soon.
Delicious food, byo and staff were friendly. We really enjoyed our meal
Lovely food, great value (and it's BYOB) and staff were really nice.
Very nice cosy place, staff more than welcoming and helpful.the food was super nice..recommended to friends already and definitely going back.
My first time in Shakshuka was for a very special occasion for me. A first date of sorts but with someone I knew well and knew that we both value good food and good service. Our only regret about our visit was that it was too short as we had booked the cinema for later without realising how much we would enjoy losing track of time in a wonderfully cosy space. The food was gorgeous but the service was really special. I had mentioned that if they had a 'romantic table' that would be great. It's a small space so their options were limited but we were seated at a nice table and received attentive service throughout the evening despite it being very busy. Even the cucumbers were cut in the shape of hearts and as we left we sensed that everyone from the front of house to the kitchen was interested in whether the date went well. It did and we will definitely be back!
This is a great find - food is very tasty with a good varied menu, its also BYOB which is great.
It is small and luckily I was at a table that wasn't along the walk way but thats the only fault - for the price, its definitely worth the visit
Had a fantastic meal at Shakshuka (Jan'18). Very nice atmosphere, great service, delicious food, big portions and BYO.... what more could you ask for!! Will definitely be going back.
The food was great and I like the BYOW concept. Service was a bit slow unfortunately. We sat close to the door and unfortunately the door doesn't close automatically and people just come in and don't close the door properly .. the guy seated closest to the door had to constantly get up and close the door because otherwise it was too cold. This isn't really acceptable and they should fix their door to make it automatically close.
Terrific food and staff, best Middle Eastern food in Dublin!
Had a family evening here and couldn't have asked for more. Great setting, food was delicious and services was great. Highly recommended.
This is a lovely restaurant. The food is so tasty and healthy at the same time. It is very reasonably priced and we will definitely visit again.
Food Was wonderful service a little scatty will go again!
It was outstanding with everything. Service, food and hospitality. The ambiance is just so homly and cozy.
Nice restaurant and friendly staff; portions are a but small.
The staff were lovely to us. The food was fresh and very good. The atmosphere is chilled and we had a very enjoyable evening that was not expensive.
The restaurant was really cozy. It really caught that feel of dining in the Middle East. Food was equally amazing, and with the voucher, it really was a great deal.
We had never been here before but we will be back. Great service, great food and a traditional feel to it all. Well worth a visit. Lots of regulars were there as well.
Great customer service, nice little restaurant. Felt welcome
Can't really fault it! Lovely relaxed atmosphere, and the BYOB policy makes for a very reasonably priced night out 😊
This restaurant deserves more business. Its tucked away out of sight off the main street in Rathmines. The food is really good & authentic and the value excellent. No wine licence but you can BYOB.
Great food, lots of variety and warm friendly staff. Very accommodating of GF diet and very reasonably priced.
Excellent middle eastern food, good location, nice setting
Really good food and the staff are very friendly as well
Starter was excellent.
Mains was good too.
Backlava for dessert was not fresh pastry, so was a disappointment.
Service was pleasant and attentive, however our table was cleared very quickly, leaving us little time to chill down after our meal. It was only 8.30pm!!
