   Having eaten here before, I was disappointed to see the general decline of the Gandon Room. It needs a lot of T.L.C. Mother’s Day lunch was a set menu for thirty euros. A choice of ceaser salad or prawn cocktail as a starter, followed by a platter of roast beef, baked ham and roast turkey with potatoes and vegetables. Desert was a choice of lemon tart or profiteroles. There was a lot of meat, the staff gave us a doggy bag of the leftovers to bring home. Staff were excellent. A special mention to a cocktail named “ A pot of gold”, which was delicious and I hope the keep it on the bar menu. Overall an enjoyable lunch, just a little different from the last time we were there. I will definitely return

   I took my mam to Browne's for Mother's Day brunch and we thoroughly enjoyed every second of it. The food was delicious and the cocktails were even nicer. The service was outstanding the staff were very friendly and efficient at a busy time of the day, We will definitely be back and I would definitely recommend to other people.

   Very little eating options, most things pre-made, asking for gluten free options or trying to make options gluten free was extremely hard, no one would answer the front door when ringing the bell, had to wait for a customer leaving to open the front door to let us in. Don't get me wrong I love slane castle but on this occasion browns bar service and food was really poor. The staff tried to do their best with what they had.

   Delicious seasonal food cooked to perfection by chef. We enjoyed the background music in Gandon Room while there. Staff very friendly and looked after us very well. Will definitely be back again for next one.

    Advertised as buffet lunch & tales. Being Slane castle expected tales were going to b historic / informative. Instead chef came out & advised in less than 2 mins how food was produced locally. Majority in attendance expected same as we did & didn’t realise “tales” had taken place already……..at very least, tour guide could have given 10 min talk on castle. Ambience, setting & staff excellent. Won’t b recommending lunch & tales.

    Food was brought out on cold plates and went cold really quick. It was very cold in the place, we were there at 11am and it must not have warmed up yet. Pancakes weren't made fresh and they were just heated up.

    Beautiful setting but was sat at door & found it very cold. Had a table booked at 1.45 didn’t get served until 2.45 but other people that came in after us got served before us & food was cold. Barman that served us was lovely.

    Hi I had lunch in Browns bar on Saturday. I had a friend from Australia with me. The selection on the menu was disappointing. I think 16 euro for eggs on toast is very expensive. So overall the dining experience was disappointing. Thanks Terri Finnegan

    Room was cold, our table had no menu & no Christmas light on it. We sat for 10 mins and had to ask for menus, off all the tables there ours was 1 of 2 reserved and lacked basic settings. Limited menu, tasty but pricy, €14.50 for a sausage bap. Total bill €36.00 for 2 Brunch dishes and 2 coffees. Incidentally there were only 2 other diners there when we arrived. Music in bar was very loud !

    Delighted inside dining is now again possible in the castle. Service and atmosphere excellent. I had their berry pancakes and were delicious. I few more options including for children on brunch menu would be nice

    Great to see Browne's Bar buzzing again...... the lovely atmosphere and surroundings made up for a very poor menu butttt the service was quick and all the staff were really lovely.... Def worth a visit for a lil cosy christmas tipple.....!

    Lovely setting and atmosphere. Room is beautiful. Menu v short , only 4 choices for lunch. Still what we ordered was delicious. Staff overall were lovely but some were a little inexperienced, probably new to job. We’d a beautiful crumble for dessert. On way back to car park from castle the lighting is very poor. Was v conscious of my pregnant friend slipping or tripping over something. This needs to be addressed.

    Went to Slane castle for brunch last Saturday and was disappointed...food was cold and overpriced,coffee was cold as well.Even the bar don't have heating and we felt not comfortable at all.
