White rice with ettouffee very undercooked. Medium burger was well done, bun soggy. Aside from burger, items on plate looked like they were just tossed onto plate in a rush. Jambalaya very dry, a kind of slight burnt flavor. Service was good and everything about the jazz show was fantastic! I would definitely go again... for the jazz performance, but not the food.

Food was less than impressive. Had the baked oysters- they were swimming in butter and not very flavorful. Caesar salad greens were big chunks. Service was slow considering we were the first people in the restaurant. All food was not brought out at same time. When I requested the items missing and utensils it was long wait. And I had to wait on utensils before I could start eating the food that was brought out. Overall, I would not recommend nor dine there again

Great venue hosting world class musicians. The food is good, the drinks are good and the whole experience is affordable.

Loved the food very much aligned with authentic New Orleans cuisine. I would recommend the red beans and rice dish. Impressive local art work on the walls. Did not appreciate that the music was blocked off from us by a wall and in order to experience it, one needs to pay a pretty high cover plus drinks when other local bar/ restaurants do not charge covers but offer great music.

Our server, Brittney, had hair down past her waist which was not restrained properly. She kept whipping it around hitting our shoulders with it when moving about. The hair on more than one occasion brushed across the tops of our drinking glasses as she reached across the table. She did not refill water, she did not know the bar menu, she had an arrogant attitude, and there was no pre-bussing. Our table was crammed full of dirty dishes by the time we left. They were not busy when we arrived. To add insult to injury, because there were five of us, she added a 20% gratuity automatically.....which is probably why she showed minimal effort as she knew she did not need to actually work for her gratuity. The hostess and/or manager passed our table more than once and could easily see the poor quality of our service and did nothing to fix the situation.

Our waitress acted like we were a bother to her and was very inattentive. We expected to be able to see the band during dinner, but that was in an entirely different room. Maybe that’s our mistake for not paying more attention. Food was good and a value for the area.

Music and Dining are separate. This is not stated on the website and we were disappointed to go there and be seated in a dead restaurant where we had chosen to go for the live music.

After getting a half dozen recommendations to check this place out, knew this was a must try while in New Orleans for the first time. The food was delicious- got the NOLA sampler and it did not disappoint. I chose the red beans & rice and etouffe and took our waiter’s recommendation to have the gumbo (vs jambalaya)— all 3 were delicious with a perfect blend of spice, heat, meat and seafood! Split the bread pudding with my friend and it was so good; deconstructed with a very buttery caramel sauce on the side for dipping— excellent! Will definitely come back on a return visit!

Snug Harbor Jazz Bistro impressed. Welcomed & seated promptly. Enjoyed delicious Pimm's cup & crab cake appetizer. He savored a huge shrimp poboy with etouffee, while I relished the best mushroom hamburger & loaded baked potato. Though we didn't have concert reservations, the bar offered a great view.
