   Fantastic artists /staff and a great atmosphere. It was like being in your own private party. Loved that it’s only small and intimate. Perfect night and we were in there for 5 hours and enjoyed every minute.

   Couldn't recommend this bar enough, it was the highlight of our trip! The staff are beyond incredible, the performers were brilliant! The venue is gorgeous and it is a place not to be missed when visiting Manchester. We came for our anniversary and the staff even gave us a little treat for the table and were so friendly. We can't wait to go back!

    We just came for drinks and music. The singer was fantastic. The ambience is warm and chilled. I probably had the best dirty martini I've ever had. The staff are very attentive and friendly. I will be back. Drinks aren't cheap and there is a cover charge and service charge so bear that in mind.

    I absolutely loved the atmosphere. At times, I wished people weren’t talking so much so I could listen to the music, but then I suppose that’s what makes a whole ambience within the bar. I also loved the piano player and singing after the jazz sets finished.

    I didn’t eat but we had a table booked for 5:45 as when we booked there was an act due on at 6. When we arrived we were told no one on till 8 ??? There was only one other couple in there. We were told the website sometimes does that (says acts on when there isn’t ??) we left and went back after 8 , it was busier but still not great. We had a very overpriced drink and left … absolutely shocking

    Wrongly advertised as band on at 6pm, only 2 people in the place, we were then told it was a website mistake it should have said 8 pm , so we left without seeing anything.Very disappointed, they could have told us when we arrived for our booked table at 5!. Nice bar and seating area, difficult to find down a small alley, it’s a shame it could have been a good evening

    Had the most wonderful night at Sonata’s fabulous, professional, friendly service and amazing cocktails. Was given a warm welcome on arrival by Dale who was a fantastic host and even did a song which was great. What a gem of a place. Songs by Dominique, just brilliant very polished and varied set of jazz standards and jazzy takes on both old and new songs. The pianist also was great. We will definitely be going back !!!
