Nice setting but poor food. Quantity was quite good but the quality was average at best. Seasoning was non existent, and canteen quality desserts. Considering the price there are much better alternatives in cork.

Servers were faultless -- friendly & v helpful. Feathered steak was perfection. Potatoes v tasty but far too many .... looked v " agricultural" Veg.... broccoli- served well after we had started our meal. Pepper sauce -- was not -- in fact was gravy. Replaced graciously---after a time. Apple Crumble delicious. Sherry trifle very attractive looking but absolutely bland in taste. Definitely not a trace of sherry. Lovely restaurant.... will come again & hope for a little better. Thank you

Fab evening , beautiful setting in a booth overlooking the city lights . Staff were friendly and very attentive . Helped find my friends earring which held great sentimental value. Great choice of food . Will be back .

The woman who was the host was rude and dismissive. Our original table was not suitable for two people. Despite having made a booking on two occasions, both times our seating placement was not optimal. Once at our table the service staff seemed to disappear.

"I love the relaxed feel of this place" Bresaola carpaccio Starter was very tasty, maybe a bit on the expensive side, for what it was. Pork-belly main was also very tasty. Gluten free menu not great , but they were very accommodating and made an excellent Gluten free pizza. Very good experience, food, staff,wine, ambiance very good. So Yes I will go there again

Service was poor waiting to long to be survived. When we got the Desert menu we were waiting 45 minutes before we got to take the order. We were just about to leave. It was a pity as we were looking forward to it with a wile .

Perfect evening. We went to celebrate a birthday and they have a complementary ice-cream with a candle for the birthday girl. Servers were so kind and polite. The food was excellent. It was a great night!

we would highly recommend sophies restaurant was there for my nieces 16th birthday lunch, food excellent and staff very friendly and even put candle on dessert and sang happy birthday for my niece great atmosphere in restaurant

Staff were extremely friendly (Emma), and very attentive, Food was delicious, but very expensive for what is offered. Lovely atmosphere and very comfortable. We were not rushed off the table. App would not allow me to book for the time of my choice even though we ended up being late. Regardless, there was no issue holding the table once I contacted them to let them know.

Arrived for our reservation and was seated inside on the worst table, right next to the bar where everyone would walk past you constantly, so we asked to move tables, they said they didn’t have any available for inside only outside yet there was plenty empty tables for 2 inside. Anyways, we went to go sit outside and it was freezing, when we got sat down they offered us water, it took 10 minutes to get us water. Food came everything was fine until my boyfriend mentioned that his shrimp wasn’t cleaned properly and shells were still on. Once we were finished our food we were asked did we want to see the dessert menu we said yes and the waiter went to go get it for us, we wait 10 minutes maybe and he comes back to us and asks if everything is okay and says oh yes you wanted the dessert menu, 5 minutes later we get it. Food not up to standard, if i’m paying 5.50 for water i expect to not have shells in the pasta. Service was slow, maybe it was a busy night but looking around it didn’t look extremely busy. Only came because i had a voucher, wouldn’t go again.

So we booked this as 5 of us were having a college reunion.They had all travelled from Dublin for lunch. We got a nice table beside the window,as requested and food arrived.Two had fish and chips and were well satisfied,one had the beef pasta (just ok) and two of us had Caesar salads.It was VERY small...looked like a starter portion.We immediately ordered chips but it annoyed me to pay 17euro for a salad that was tiny and looked thrown together. Our desserts were delicious. Our server was lovely..knew her menu and nothing was too much trouble.We asked her to turn the music down,which she did (&didn't turn it back up,which happens!) She also rang me afterwards as I was leaving to tell me one of the party had left her glasses after her. Very interested and good at her job..sorry I don't know her name☹ We all agreed the restaurant(&bar downstairs)was lovely...just felt a bit ripped off with that poor excuse for a Caesar salad.
