Food was delicious on time and service was fab. Would definitely recommend the cocktails. Aisling our server was super as was the Penny in the bar.

Being on a rooftop, seated outdoors sounds delightful but the views onto Cork’s waters are anything but - mounds of gravel, cranes and industrial machinery. The food was decent. And while the servers are pleasant, they are not on the ball. If you ask for something they’ll tell you it’s coming right up, but it never arrives. Overall, despite the overall 4-star review I’d suggest you dine elsewhere. Or even better, skip Cork on your itinerary.

We sat out on the terrace and enjoyed the view and fresh air. The service was attentive and never intrusive. But I didn't l Iike my food. My companion ordered gnocchi, which he liked. But I ordered duck breast, which was tough and tasteless. I had to ask for a steak knife because the regular knife was inadequate; but the duck was still too tough. I finished the Buckwheat Risotto but left half of the duck. The Beet Glaze somehow got on my fingers and hands, so I worried about getting some on my jacket. And then the Sticky Toffee Pudding, a traditional English dessert which I had heard about on TV, was unremarkable. The sticky sauce was nicely sweet, but the pudding itself was forgettable Pizzas that others had ordered passed by, and I wished I had ordered one of those instead of duck and had skipped dessert.

Nice menu…but food poorly done. In particular the pasta dish…. ‘Feather Blade Beef Cassarecce Pasta Ragout’. Sounded great, but not actually a Ragu (meat sauce). It was just some overcooked, pasta in a very tasteless tomato sauce served with a piece of beef on top! Really poor quality and value for a dish that cost €27.95! Menu seems very overpriced for the lack of quality being served up. Could be lovely if the they just got their act together!

Service it’s excellent. Non-vegan Food it is ok and good, depending on the dish, but green options are not…overpriced and few options. When we booked dinner at the terrace, we were expecting to have the city view, this should be point out in advance if one will be seat there or at the “backyard” terrace…we wouldn’t have taken the booking if we had known that….Something that should be improved right away its how clean the toilets are, for how “fancy” the restaurant is supposed to be, it shouldn’t be that dirty ( I have been there more that 2 times, and it’s always the same).I had to use the third toilet that I checked, because the 2 first one that I saw were disgusting.

Really can't fault it, Sophie 's is a great spot with the added bonus of a fabulous hotel Dean bar, great selection of drinks, cocktails and music.

It was good I guess but three people of our party of six got burgers and there was the tiniest sliver of brie on each. At first we thought it was a bit of egg but then realised, it was the cheese for the whole burger. Not what you'd expect for a €19 burger. It was a bit of a laugh tho and the place is nice. I'd be reluctant to recommend this for lunch again. I'm hoping it was a one off weird brie shortage type situation 😬
