Not very welcoming at desk. The two young waiting staff who served us were very nice, friendly and smiley. The table for two was not great where it was situated ( it felt like we were in a different restaurant to the tables beyond us). The food was very flavorsome but my husband’s burger was cold and he felt it was a bit on the small side. My husband and I were out for a spot of lunch for my Birthday and overall I would say it was grand but nothing amazing. We were out for a nice lunch, dessert and a few drinks. However, we finished our food and declined dessert as we felt we were very much ready to leave at that point. Maybe it just wasn’t for us.

Great service. Setting is gorgeous - love the decor and view. Food was beautiful - would have liked a bit more vegetables. Expensive but a nice Christmas treat. Lovely experience.

Nice setting but poor food. Quantity was quite good but the quality was average at best. Seasoning was non existent, and canteen quality desserts. Considering the price there are much better alternatives in cork.

Servers were faultless -- friendly & v helpful. Feathered steak was perfection. Potatoes v tasty but far too many .... looked v " agricultural" Veg.... broccoli- served well after we had started our meal. Pepper sauce -- was not -- in fact was gravy. Replaced graciously---after a time. Apple Crumble delicious. Sherry trifle very attractive looking but absolutely bland in taste. Definitely not a trace of sherry. Lovely restaurant.... will come again & hope for a little better. Thank you

Fab evening , beautiful setting in a booth overlooking the city lights . Staff were friendly and very attentive . Helped find my friends earring which held great sentimental value. Great choice of food . Will be back .

The woman who was the host was rude and dismissive. Our original table was not suitable for two people. Despite having made a booking on two occasions, both times our seating placement was not optimal. Once at our table the service staff seemed to disappear.

"I love the relaxed feel of this place" Bresaola carpaccio Starter was very tasty, maybe a bit on the expensive side, for what it was. Pork-belly main was also very tasty. Gluten free menu not great , but they were very accommodating and made an excellent Gluten free pizza. Very good experience, food, staff,wine, ambiance very good. So Yes I will go there again

Service was poor waiting to long to be survived. When we got the Desert menu we were waiting 45 minutes before we got to take the order. We were just about to leave. It was a pity as we were looking forward to it with a wile .

Perfect evening. We went to celebrate a birthday and they have a complementary ice-cream with a candle for the birthday girl. Servers were so kind and polite. The food was excellent. It was a great night!

we would highly recommend sophies restaurant was there for my nieces 16th birthday lunch, food excellent and staff very friendly and even put candle on dessert and sang happy birthday for my niece great atmosphere in restaurant

Staff were extremely friendly (Emma), and very attentive, Food was delicious, but very expensive for what is offered. Lovely atmosphere and very comfortable. We were not rushed off the table. App would not allow me to book for the time of my choice even though we ended up being late. Regardless, there was no issue holding the table once I contacted them to let them know.
