   Impossible to converse with my guest. The music was like in a disco - not in the background. I had rack of lamb, which was served in a boul. Food like this needs a flat plate and a sharp knife. I can't recommend to a friend - despite nice views - due to noise in Sophies and in ther reception area on level 0.

   Disappointed the menu online wasn’t the one we were presented with as this was the deciding factor choosing to eat there. Food however was good and so was the service. Nice views at sun set.

   Our lovely waiter was so attentive we didn’t have to ask for a single thing! Really enjoyed the evening thank you! Food was beautiful I’d recommend the seabsss risotto! Can’t wait to visit again soon.

    Overall, the best description I could give for Sophie's is disappointing. On arriving at the Dean we started with a few drinks in the Dean Bar. This point of the evening was great. The wait staff were attentive, the cocktails were delicious. Unfortunately when we made our way up to Sophie's the experience was not so great. The restaurant itself looks fantastic and the food was good, but a relaxing, enjoyable evening meal it most certainly was not. The music was at a level where we had to lean across the table and almost shout at each other to be heard. Conversation was difficult. Other than 1 member of the wait staff who was great, the rest made it feel like our presence was an inconvenience. Starters were basically thrown on the table in front of us. Our first round of drinks, when they eventually came as we were finishing the starter, were have spilt when the waitress who brought them bumped our table as she moved off without a backward glance. The whole frenetic pace made for a rather uncomfortable experience. We'll not be back.

    I like a comfortable dining room in a friends home. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The crispy duck leg and seared duck breast was delicious, perfectly medium rare and the red cabbage was amazing . Service was well-timed and friendly, wines were affordable. I love the relaxed feel of this place. I love this place and recommend it to other friends.

    The whole experience was faultless staff where very attentive and welcoming and polite. Food was excellent water on table was topped up without having to ask. would visit again and would highly recommend a visit to family and friends the good staff are a big asset

    Absolutely beautiful, we both got the steak and it was 10/10 complements to the chef, also the desserts were delicious. The staff were lovely and very friendly and we loved the atmosphere of the place. The only thing was the heat, we were at a window table and the sun was shining in on us and it was a bit uncomfortable eating as the steak would already made you sweat so was close to nearly passing out while eating, got over it though cause everything else was top notch thank you x

    We had a lovely experience again, our second time round. The thing that struck me on both occasions was how nice, and natural the staff were. I think they make the experience. The food was delicious, for each course. The view is fabulous too of course. Nothing at all to gripe about.

    Fab staff, delicious food and the best views! Mentioned it was for a birthday and the wait staff brought dessert with a candle and sang happy birthday! Staff couldn’t be nicer. Great spot in a gorgeous hotel.

    Lovely friendly staff and great choices on menu. I had the goats cheese salad for starters and sea bass for mains, both delicious. Other half had the prawns as the starter and chicken as the main. Again both dishes were superb.
