Third time coming here, best vegan restaurant I've been to
Sova never disappoints. We got there a bit early, but they still seated us right away. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Both of our meals were delicious.
Wonderful place and great options for vegans/vegetarians. This place has specialised on the illusion of making vegan food look like meat and its taste is magnificent!
Had a lovely meal there. food really excellent . a few more tortilla chips wpuld have been good and we got one plate of pancakes by mistake instead of two. we would have eaten too they were gorgeous. Overall no complaint , great that its all vegan.
we will go again to SOVA
The food was as always to die for. The choices for the lunch/ brunch menu are slightly different than the dinner ones but anything on that menu sounds mouth-watering good.
There seems to be less gluten-free options on the lunch selection though.
I'm waiting for those guys to produce a cook book.
Food and service were great. Was my first time there, and will definitely be back very soon. Not many places like this around
Fabulous food, good service, rustic decor. Only complaint is restaurant was a bit cold.
We go to Sova on a regular basis and we absolutely love it! Can't fault the food and the staff are wonderful!!! Sova is our favourite restaurant in Dublin, the food is simply stunning and so tasty. The staff are attentive and an absolute delight.
Can't recommend this establishment enough!!!!
All I can say is wow! Such delicious food. The loveliest most helpful staff who answered lots of questions for us. An impressive menu whether you are vegan, veggie or neither! The chia burger is a must and the meatballs (starter) were unbelievable. I was full until lunch the next day. Will definitely be back. BYOB is a bonus.
Just excellent vegan food for very reasonable prices. The portions are gigantic but the food is so good you’ll probably still clean the plate completely.
Great to have a full vegan restaurant and the service is excellent.
Very impressed, beautiful meal, wonderful service and lovely atmosphere. Thank you for a great evening!
Finally got to have a 'traditional' Christmas dinner - roast, veg and potatoes. And turky. And It's not that i for a single second miss eating birds or animals, I certainly don't, but still it was fun to eat a dinner that looked like a Christmas dinner and great to know that no living creature had been harmed in any way during the making of the dinner. My friend who had never been to Sova before also loved it.
Can't work out how to upload photos from my phone. And too much going on. But I did take photos both of the turky dinner and of my friend's chia burger. Might post them later if I can work how how to do that!
Great place with fabulous food - really takes vegan food to the limit of what is possible. Am always amazed by the variety and choice on offer. Have been there lots of times, really love this place.
Really fantastic food and friendly service. Thanks for teaching me about soy cream (I'm a newbie vegan) :)
One of the best vegan restaurants I’ve been to! Loved it! Wish I had time to try the entire menu! Food was amazing!
I honestly could not have enjoyed my meal here any more. I had the schnitzel which was probably the best meal I've had all year, and my partner had the steak which tasted stunning. The wait staff were great and friendly all evening, and despite being quite busy always found time for us! I absolutely would go again in a heartbeat, and plan on eating there every time I'm in Dublin now. That schnitzel was honestly divine, mouthwatering just thinking about it!
Very clever and extremely tasty vegan food. The only quibble is that the place is a bit cramped and the chairs not very comfortable. Sometimes vegan restaurants seems to cultivate an austerity of comfort that I don't quite understand. However, the food is good enough to return, and we will, again and again.
Had a great dinner! We ordered the schnitzel and burger. Both were great. If we lived in Dublin we’d be back!
Just amazing food and friendly staff. I visited for the first time in the summer and was so impressed that when I found out I was going to visit Dublin on business I made sure I stayed nearby Sova so that I could eat there both days, even though the hotel was a 50 minute walk away from the conference centre. I tried two different starters and two different mains but would find out really difficult to pick a favourite. They were all amazing. I will visit Dublin again just to go to Sova.
Once again, I enjoyed delicious food and my carnivore friend really enjoyed hers too, though I think she was not expecting to! [Sadly also once again I forgot to get the little card stamped when paying - I always carry it and invariably forget to use it.]
I could see right in to the kitchen and I kept telling my friend to look around, just to see the care and attention lavished on each and every dish of food as it was being prepared. I wish I hadn't had the cauliflower soup even though I loved it - I loved it so much I had to finish every last mouthful even though I knew I'd never be able for the (wonderful, so tasty) Chia Burger that followed. I think my friend's arancini and stuffed pork would have been a better choice, purely because the arancini was a smaller portion. But I can choose something else next time. Because there'll definitely be next times!
We went for our anniversary dinner and had a great time, lovely place and delicious food!!
Great restaurant with absolutely delicious food. Great for vegans and non-vegans alike. Just good incredible food. Will definitely be back!
First time here after reading rave reviews, it did not disappoint. The food is delicious, would highly recommend the scallops for a starter (the black pudding is scarily like the real thing). Would come back in a heartbeat.
Best veggie food in Dublin. I've brought meat eaters here and they've returned on their own. Staff are super friendly too
It was our first time. The food and the service was outstanding. Thank you so much for the night.
I had an amazing dinner with a vegan friend for her birthday. As a non-vegan, I thought I would be a nice venue for her birthday event and had read the excellent reviews, so was excited to try it. The food, service and ambience lived up to all expectations! I got the black olive arancini and was so impressed with its flavour. The schnitzel for the main course was so divine - I would have preferred to eat that than actual meat! The chocolate mousse dessert was decadent and gorgeous. The staff even wrote happy birthday on my friend's desset plate, which really topped off the night!
Excellent choice of options that would intrigue even the most committed of omnivores. Really creative cuisine, great service. Super groovy music policy too. I'll def be back.
I had the seitan steak and my date had the gnocchi, both of which I'd had previously. Both were devoured quite quickly. So delicious!
A fantastic creative vegan menu. Wonderful service and excellent value for money.
This was my second time here - the first was for a Sunday lunch, and this for an evening dinner with a friend.
The food is simply phenomenal. Some of the most delicious meals I've ever had, vegan or not. And the way they replicate the textures and sensations of typically non-vegan dishes is done jobs of magic; definitely unlike anything I've had anywhere else.
The staff are all incredibly welcoming and friendly, and easy to chat to. The place has a bit of a "hip" feel to it, but in a good way - again, warm staff, and the music isn't too loud but does tend to be really good - a lot of old pop songs during my most recent visit.
Oh, and the wine is amazing! We had a bottle of Spanish red, and it was deliciously light and easy to drink along with our meals.
I could go on and on, but honestly, if you're at all interested, give this place a try! Even if you're not vegan, or even vegetarian, you will not regret it!
First time there for brunch (only had dinner there before), and once again, the food and options were great. We will definitely be back for brunch!
The food was amazing and the service exceptionally good! One of the best places we’ve been to in Dublin so far and we we’ll definitely be back soon. Absolute MUST when in Dublin!
The food here is amazing!!! Loved it all. The staff are friendly, very helpful and happy. One of the best meals I’ve had or maybe the best meal ever!!!! Very much recommend going here. You will not be disappointed.
Great location, cool atmosphere and interesting concept. The staff are very friendly and informative, coffees are great and it's BYO, which makes it excellent value for a night out. I absolutely loved my starter; an arancini ball with roasted red pepper sauce, but was less enthusiastic about my main (the chia burger). I found it overwhelmingly huge, and quite heavy and under-seasoned. I also thought the cheesecake was much too big and stodgy. However, I did suffer from food envy as some of my fellow diners ordered the chocolate mousse which they said was devine. Overall, I nice new place on the Dublin food scene and I will be back!
We waited a bit to receive the food, but I am sure there was a problem in the kitchen...
Overall a really good experience. I'll definitely go there again.
Food is always amazing at sova. The service can sometimes be a bit too relaxed (asked for tea, had to ask again, asked for extra ketchup, never arrived and meals weren't checked up on). The food is so good this hasn't detered me from re-visiting :-) but extra training for the wait staff or maybe smaller sections for each to wait on would be good. I saw that there were two waiters and they were serving the whole restaurant between them. Maybe break it down so one does upstairs and the other does downstairs this way each waiter knows what's happening in their own section - this is coming from experience of working in bewleys cafe on grafton st :-) thank you for the wonderful food
Fantastic service and outstanding food. Fully booked and with good reason. If you're vegan, or even if you're not, this is creative cooking at its best. Thanks to all the staff we had a very memorable meal on a special anniversary.
The menu is varied, colourful, creative, original and mouth-watering, leaving you with the classic "Hmmm, which will I choose?" dilemma. And yet all dishes are vegan--not a single animal product in sight. Presentation of food is first class, of a kind found only in the best restaurants, and service is quick, efficient and personable. Prices are more than reasonable, and excellent when compared with typical restaurant prices in Dublin. Since my last visit, the restaurant has added a selection of white and red wines (four of each, available by the glass or bottle, and all organic) and as it approaches one year in existence in its current location, it looks to be establishing itself very well (bookings are required for evening sittings, even early ones). Very much one-of-a-kind and a great example of what can be accomplished in terms of varied, tasty and nutritious food without the culinary 'cheating' of using animal products.
Really lovely restaurant with great food and great attentive staff
