While the meal was adequate, neither the server nor the wine steward was knowledgeable about wine. Their menu listed a "Joel Gott Nappa Valley" Cabernet, and since I'm aware of Joel Gott as a broader California wine, not specific to an individual appellation, I inquired about it. I was told, "Napa is in California!" as if I didn't know! When the wine steward brought out the bottle (so I could see the label), she tried to explain the same thing. Of course the label was "California." They didn't understand that their menu listing is a problem, by misrepresenting that particular wine. The point is that a restaurant the quality of Sullivan's should have people who understand what they're serving. No accomodation was offered for their misrepresentation, lack of knowledge and understanding or condescension.

I waited 45 minutes for my steak, which was cool when it arrived, they did refire it. The manager did come to my table, noticed I hadn’t been offered bread. Offered me another glass of wine—having waited 45 minutes. I assumed, mistakenly, that he was comping the wine, given the poor service. I was mistaken. I was charged for 2 glasses of wine. I do not recommend this restaurant

I have had excellent service both times I have been to this restaurant. The first time I went they accidentally dropped my leftover steak (there was only a small piece left) when they were boxing it up to go and they cooked me an entire replacement steak which I was NOT expecting but it absolutely made me rave about them ever since. The second time I had a very pleasant waiter that offered to take photos of my wife and I multiple times during the evening (it was a birthday dinner for my wife). Food is excellent. 10/10

There’s a reason Open Table is offering 1,000 points to diners here. Server was passive-aggressive, steak wasn’t done to order (even after it was sent back). Then my baked potato arrived and I was told they were out of sour cream. The server was miffed that I didn’t take him up on his wine suggestion (even after I said I had been to the vineyard). They were also out of rosé and I will go to my grave believing that I was given Meiomi instead of the Erath Pinot that I ordered. However, my favorite part was when he brought the check without asking if we wanted dessert (which we did). What made this so ironic was he tried to sneakily upsell us on everything from “palate cleansing” Pellegrino (which leaves a film like you just drank liquid sheet metal) to soup/salad without making sure we knew it was a la carte (which we were thankfully aware). I realize the restaurant business is tough and has been struggling. But being treated like this will keep me at home where I can have a better steak and wine for a lot less money.

The food was good. Nothing unusual, but prepared nicely and tasted good. Our service was excellent. There was 8 of us, so a full table. I would certainly recommend it as a place to eat in Anchorage.
