Our server Jewell was a gem! (See what I did there!) Friendly and enthusiastic and quite the hustler—and she gave very good menu advice. We were celebrating a graduation and Tableau made it a memorable experience! Will definitely go again!

Pre theater dinner before a show next door. Check in was disorganized even though I had made a reservation. Hostesses couldn’t figure out at what table to seat us. Finally seated at a table upstairs (again). Would prefer to sit downstairs, I will request that next time. Server was great except he misheard my order & got filet instead of ribeye. Offered to change it but we were concerned about time. He offered a comp dessert which was delicious. Oyster pan roast. Creole onion soup, filet & cheesecake all outstanding.

Lovely restaurant located inside the old Governor’s house. We were served in the Drawing Room. Excellent shrimp and grits. Crème Brûlée for dessert is a must! Highly recommend for a special dining experience in New Orleans.

A little disappointed in this visit. My friend ordered a burger it was cooked a little bit to rare for her liking, we told the waitress, she said no problem, we'll get you a new one cooked well. Well here is the disappointing part of our experience, instead of bringing out a new burger cooked well, the kitchen recooked the burger my friend already touched, handled and bit off of, we realized it was the original burger heated up and placed back on the same plate, it was a mess. Correct me if I am wrong, shouldn't this burger have been dumbed in the trash and a new one prepared. I would expect from a restaurant of your caliber, the kitchen would have made a new burger. Have to say, very disappointed Tableau. Our waitress was great!!

Our server was a true pro: engaging, knowledgeable, and friendly. The setting and ambiance are impeccable, the flighty accordion music being a little cherry on top of the whole experience. Fresh seafood, inventive desserts, and curated cocktails. Fancy without being intimidatingly so and much less expensive than it feels it should be. So happy we picked Tableau for our first night in New Orleans!

It’s nice to watch the bartender playing on their phone while waiting 10-15 minutes for a cocktail. We ordered mint juleps as after dinner drinks for derby day and bartender didn’t know the recipe.

Our visit here was phenomenal. All of the staff was so kind and courteous and extremely helpful. Our food was one of the most delicious meals we’ve had so far on our vacation. My mother and I had the chicken tableau which was very flavorful and moist. My sister had the duck which she said was ver good as well and my husband had the prime ribeye that was good as well albeit slightly over cooked. The only downfall was the table one table over had an infant and they were purposely flinging them in the our and bouncing them around which meant they were making a decent amount of noise. Though we know you can’t control infants and it is by no means the fault of the staff, but for the atmosphere and price we just would have preferred to not deal with that. We would definitely return, though! We loved our experience at this restaurant.

Wonderful food experience!! Loved the trout! The bloody mary was so good. They make their own mix and it was great. Service was top notch! Our waiter is from Metairie and he was fantastic!

The food was good but it took more than 40 minutes to arrive. We were seated upstairs even though we had a reservation not in fun downstairs kitchen area. There was no one up there. And the waitress was the most unhappy person I have met in New Orleans. Curt responses no information and not a crack of smile. Amazing how it detracts from an enjoyable meal. She needs a different job. Not sure we will return too many other places that welcome you.

Tableau did not disappoint. The food was delicious. My husband had the Chicken Tableau, he said the chicken was tender and moist. I had the gulf fish, it was sheepshead fish cooked meuniere style. It was delicious. Our server, Terra, was attentive yet not in our faces, and was accurate in describing the dishes. We chose a cheese platter as our first course and each had 2 glasses of the house Chardonnay. The price was quite reasonable, about $100 for the two of us.

Menue was limited. Service, push hurry, then wait. The quality of the food was mediocre. Oysters dry, no taste. Crab appetizer quite a lot of effort for very small portion. Prime rib was a joke. Over cooked. Very thin. Tate cooked out of meat.
