came for the Bento Box during lunch, and it was a lovely combination of different food. Would be better if can offer the package with drinks or dessert. Chocolate Fondant was also nice.

We booked table but it wasn’t reserved. When we told number of us, staff made table together for us.. Some of dish was lovely but cost performance was not so good.
I guess Very expensive area to keep going Frish Sashimi and sushi, they have to price up.. staff was friendly enough ambulance was ok, I wish a bit more space between other tables..

Booked this for a lunch celebration for my partner's birthday and was not disappointed! The food was lovely and well presented, very happy with the lunch bento options. By the time we ordered dessert the restaurant was empty, so it was a perfect moment when staff brought out the dessert with 'Happy Birthday' written on the plate. They had even changed the music to a birthday song! Will definately return! Thank you :)

This was our second visit to Taka and it just as delicious as I remembered. The portions are quite big for 2 and so either don’t order too much or go with friends so you can share more plates

Took my dad and friends to celebrate my graduation, and am absolutelly amazed by how good this place was. Everything fresh and delicious- i am a very picky person when it comes to raw fish, but had no doubts that Taka was gonna be amazing. (Nobu is overrated)
Amazing service as well- great time, absolutelly recommended!

We selected the five course set menu and were not disappointed. The miso soup was flavorful and the marinated salmon was exceptional. You are given a choice of grilled salmon or beef steak and we both selected the salmon. The fish was perfectly grilled and the sauce provided a pleasant complement.

It’s a tiny restaurant so you do feel a little squeezed in but the food was really delicious. We ordered lots of the small plates and everything was really fresh and tasty. The only complaint was that they brought everything out at once and the plates barely fit on the tiny table and then some things got cold as we couldn’t eat them quickly enough. Next time we will just ask them to stagger bringing things out.

It may not have the hype and reputation of Nobu and Zuma, the food and service is equally good. Great service tonight. Keep up the good work.

Amazing food, tucked away in Shepherds Market. We had the soft shell crab for the first time and it was divine. Another highlight was the california rolls and the miso cod. Can't wait to go back again.

We went as a couple. The place is small and intimate. On the whole, the food had a mixture of good and bad points. We ordered a lot of sashimi and sushi, black cod, beef sirloin and fried aubergine. The squid sashimi was very chewy and the octopus quite chewy but the rest (hamachi, Amaebi) was nice. The ikura gunkan, California roll and negi toro were tasty. The black cod was good and didn't need the very sweet miso sauce that came in a side bowl. We asked for the beef to be medium rare and it was perfectly cooked. That was my favourite dish but again came with a very overpoweringly sweet sauce in a bowl which was not needed. The fried aubergine was the biggest disappointment. It came smothered with the super sweet miso sauce and was inedible. The sauce should be less sweet and put in a bowl on the side. For dessert, we had the yuzu creme brulee with lychee sorbet which was very nice. We finished with a pot of ginger and lemon tea. There was not enough ginger in the pot and the tea was hence too weak a taste. We had one small hot sake between us. The bill was £78 per person which was expensive for what it was but it is inline with Mayfair prices. Service was friendly and efficient.
