All reservations require a deposit of $35 per person, regardless of the party size. This deposit will be taken off the bill at the end of your visit. If you need to cancel your reservation for any reason, we ask that you do so by 10:00pm the day prior in order to receive a refund. Any cancellations made after 10:00pm will not be eligible for a refund. Please note that during these unprecedented times, all reservations have a two hour dining limit. The best thing about Tao was the ambience I was a little disappointed on the menu and just the taste of the food the best thing we ate was the lobster eggrolls but the filet mignon was over cooked

We had a bit of a wait for our reservation but we received two free appetizers and a dessert for the inconvenience which I thought was very nice! Overall was a great experience, the food, service, and ambiance was great! Would recommend :)

Service was eh. Could barely find the server and had to ask someone to help us find them. Barley checked on our table...don't know if they think we couldn't pay or what but service was eh. Food was not horrible but also not worth the price...

Tonight we were here for a special occasion and were treated like VIP’s. We come here a lot with family and also with business clients. If you want to impress clients this is definitely the place to go. The service and food is always exceptional. My favorite drink is The Aviation and it was superb. Pat

Food was amazing as always but the service was terrible. Ordered two bottle wines and waited thirty minutes for them only to have the manager come over and tell me that they do not have that bottle available. At that point we had almost completely finished our dinner. This is where I explained my frustrations to him about our overall experience so far and he didn't even seem to care. Also, never came back over to check on us to ensure that we were being take care of at that point. Asked three times for Sake, asked to have our water filled multiple times to the point where I had to get up and go find someone to fill them up for us. Said they would be right back to clear our table and never came back over to do it. The list goes on and on. I've been to Tao in NYC and Chicago numerous times and never had an experience like this. Very disappointing!

I love this place but have always come in large groups. I brought my best friend there to celebrate a birthday and they tried to first seat us upstairs in the bar area on lounge furniture- not ideal when trying to impress an out of town guest. Then they thought sitting us at the sushi bar was a good idea where our view was blocked by a large post. It’s a shame they treat smaller tables like this and don’t provide the over the top experience like they do for large groups. Our apps went to a different table then it took so much longer for our apps and meal to come. Our serve did nothing to make this better. Very disappointed in the overall experience

The food, drink, atmosphere, vibe and waitstaff were wonderful! The issue we had was we waited 45 minutes for a reservation made weeks in advance for which we also had made a deposit! The hostess was rude and not helpful. When we were finally seated, we were very "hangry," and the free glass of champagne didn't really help. Overall, great food, but they clearly overbook.

The food was great! However our waiter could’ve came back to check in more she only came to the table 1x after the food arrived. My sister ordered potatoes with her food that she had to wait an extra 15min for after our food arrived, even though we put in the order for everything together (they were pretty good tho). I don’t like that the bathrooms only have 1 stall. Minor things that could be fixed but overall a nice time with good food I’ll be returning!

This place is trash. Save your money. I told the waitress my wagu steak was awful and didn’t even care. Barley came to check on us, food was so low quality. Such a waste of money!

We waited 40 minutes for our bottle of wine which was incorrect, constantly asked to order entrees without our wine and feeling we needed to be rushed through dinner and was double charged for our bottle of wine that we needed to inform server to correct. Overall poor experience and will not be returning.

Since you open the door and enter the restaurant, you’ll feel amaze by the decoration and architecture inside. The place is beautiful, the service is great and the food is very well prepared and presented. Amazing dishes with special combinations that enhance any flavor.

I was extremely excited to eat here however we were the first people in the entire place at ordered our meal at 5:30pm. The drinks and appetizer came out and an hour later the place was filling up and we started to notice those that arrived after us had received their food. I flagged down our waiter and asked him to please check on our food as it had been over an hour at this point since we ordered. He came out the first time and said it will be right up with no explanation. He then brought us over a on the house terrible tasting drink. If he was assertive and saw we liked our first two drinks, why not stick to what we had been happy with. He then felt terrible at this point that it had been over 1 hour and now about 15-20 mins since I asked about our food that we still didn’t have our food. He followed that terrible drink up with a complimentary tequila shot because he knew this was unacceptable to not have food and we were the first people there. Not only did he never question why we didn’t have our food but he rarely checked on us until it was too far past the point of recovery. He apologized after the fact and admired there was a mix up with the ticket. Honesty and transparency go a long way, it would have made a difference if he acknowledged it the first time. After dinner he wanted to comp us a dessert which was very nice but chose for us. If you are going to admit fault at least let us pick what we’d like. I let him know my friend at the table had a dairy allergy and he brought out vanilla ice cream and fried dough dish. Apologizing there was nothing else that would fit her allergy. It felt forced and he could have easily kept the gross drink, tequila shot and the dessert and credited our meal and we would have been much happier and appreciate in the long run. I had to hunt for someone to refill my water and to provide a small plate for the shared appetizer. Our waiter was not good and made the entire dining experience not something we want to return to.

Disappointing how slow the service was. The waiter was very short and only showed up to our table three times the whole night. Also we put on the reservation this was for a birthday and they never did anything.
