The design-driven restaurant and adjoining nightclub is inspired by the original TAO locations in New York City, Las Vegas and Los Angeles. All reservations require a deposit of $35 per person, regardless of the party size. This deposit will be taken off the bill at the end of your visit. If you need to cancel your reservation for any reason, we ask that you do so by 10:00pm the day prior in order to receive a refund. Any cancellations made after 10:00pm will not be eligible for a refund. Please note that during these unprecedented times, all reservations have a two hour dining limit. Fried rice was served different in Las Vegas.. we had a large bowl. Guess we were expecting that. Still wonderful. We will be back. Came early, didn’t get to experience the night club. Would like to see if I truly got refined for the 70$ reso. I appreciate it. Thank you, Jonathon lips. We came at 5pm on Saturday 7/2.

The General manager came to our table and his approach was unprofessional. He instigated a situation and caused unnecessary confrontation with my group. I will never support this establishment again.

Having been to Tao NYC and Vegas, numerous times, Chicago location was tad disappointing. The ambience is gorgeous. The service seems rushed. Our waiter was impatient and seemed in a hurry. The appetizers - shishito peppers, charred brussel sprouts were decent. The main course left a lot to be desired. The pad thai was overly sweet, green fried rice was different but lacked flavor and sizzling soy chicken was also sweet. The sushi was also average. Chicago has such strong food scene that they really up the quality - you can get MUCH better sushi and Asian food elsewhere for 1/4 the price. Tao is now mostly all about their ambience.

Over all everything was good. I liked the atmosphere, crowd, and decor. The drinks were so so. The food had a good taste the short rib and steak were very tender. The food is a little over priced in my opinion.

All I can say is WOW! I knew it was going to be nice but nice is an understatement. Tao is BEAUTIFUL and the food was so great. there was nothing we didn’t like and we got a variety of foods! The food came so fast we were shocked. It felt so crazy seeing how fast the food came. The service was impeccable and I will definitely make more reservations to go! The music was amazing too as they had a DJ in the restaurant!

Service was poor at best, barely quality checked us. We were instructed to order way more food than we needed, most of which got wasted. The short rib appetizer came out ice cold, but by the time we were checked on, our main courses had already arrived. Instead of making a new short rib appetizer or taking off the bill, they just reheated the original one which made it greasy. The Szechwan potatoes were so over seasoned we could not eat them at all. The crispy chicken was good and possibly the only item of them night which was enjoyed. Everything was also way over priced.

We ordered the $160 omakase and it was def worth considering the price of each if ordered separately. I also got the nirvana drink and it was a good size and the flavor of passion fruit was good too

From start to finish everything was Amazing. The services was on point and the food was amazing. The glazed salmon and sweet and spicy shrimp were my favorite. The wagyo rib eye was made to order and delicious with all the sauces it comes with. Can’t wait for our next visit to Tao

This is a MUST in Chicago, the service is excellent; our server explained the menu to the detail alrhough it was not necessary. She took extra care asking the chec for the way food was prepare to accomodate allergies and special requests. The food was fantastic and the music was very appropriate for the place, half lounge abd half smooth jazz. Great value for the investment

Came there last night with my friends the drinks were so water down and nasty that we all felt sick and we did not hang around to eat so I really cannot comment on the food but I definitely for sure can’t say that the drinks from the bar probably the most generic drink I ever drank

It was pretty much what I expected it to be. Great room/ambiance. Food is tasty. Flashy people. Service-wise, I never got our server’s name she was always in a rush and it was very hard to get her attention. Overall, it was a nice downtown experience.

The Host was pretty rude and the service felt rushed. For example, I ask the Host (African American lady) where was table 91 and she responded “honey that is for me to know not you. I felt that was a totally unacceptable response. I will not recommend this spot for any special occasions. It was also my Birthday and the service was terrible.

A flashy place with no substance. Top thing: decoration, worst thing: service. I understand the site is big and busy, but I saw the other waiters around me juggle multiple tables and still be attentive. I had to ask other employees for help.
