   i had my birthday celebration here for 11 people. they were so accommodating and friendly. we were able to order off the regular menu which was much better value than other restaurants. the staff were so friendly and humourous and the food was amazing. I've been here for many occasions and i will continue to come back!

   Waitress attitude is good but more attention/experience is required. Food is on the upper end. Worthy a try. The first time was with a very good impression, better than this visit.

   Absolutely brilliant - was a bit concerned we would get street noise however walk inside and it disappears completely; beautifully designed to create feeling of space; the food was excellent…..still can't stop raving to others about it; the service was also excellent. The only downside I have is that because so popular, we felt we were rushed out of there before we had finished and before our 1.5hrs of seating time was up…..

   We were sat down for our reservation and then never again acknowledged. Rude staff that wouldn’t even make eye contact with us or offer us water after 20 min of sitting there. My family and I got up and left and headed to a Mexican restaurant next door with amazing food and accommodating staff.

   I selected Tao for a large group (12) after reading several other recent reviews that rave about the attentive service. While the food was good, the service was very inattentive, despite the restaurant not being full. It almost felt at times like we were being ignored, and had to shout at wait staff as they breezed by our table with no intent on stopping to see if we needed anything. We constantly had to seek attention to get water refilled, order food, etc.

   Service was outstanding - we were a large group with various dietary requirements and were accommodated wonderfully. Service was warm and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Food was really delicious and plentiful. Thank you!!

    Fantastic food, I've eaten here 3 times, its always top notch. Great variety on the menu, i'll be back to try more of it. Highlights so far the poached chicken, the bok choy with mushrooms, rice with pork and prawns, and the dumplings are all done perfectly

    Fabulous food and good service. Wine list very pricey and as a group of friends we wanted to split the bill across four credit cards but they wouldn’t do it. Annoying as it meant one of our party had to cop almost $400 on her card but that is my only complaint. The food really was first class.

    One of the best restaurants in Sydney. The food is just delicious and the portions are just right. Nice place for birthdays and family gatherings. Very clean too.

    Went to Tao based on OpenTable reviews, a bit of a disappointment with regards to meal choices based on staff recommendations. The half duck meal felt more like a quarter or less. Service could have been better. Not great value for the money we paid.

    The service was a little bit slow we had to ask a few times that we wanted napkins. They didn't hive us menus when we arrived we had to ask for them. It was s little messy, they gave us fortune cookies out of a coles shopping bag!! It would have been nicer from a large decorative bowl!!!

    Good food. We had Banquet no 2 and it was plenty. It was a little noisier than the last time I was there. Pity they start packing up at 9.30 pm.

    Need to order 3 times due to most of items on menu not being available. Waiter didn't tell me until 10mins after order place. Food took about 50mins to be served even though the place was only half full. Main was served with long black hairs in the dish. When pointed out to the waiter, the dish was taken away and wasn't reserved for over 20mins. Won't ever go back. I was embarrassed to have invited business colleagues to attend.

    This is the second time we visit Tao. First time just two of us and we could not help dragging a bunch of friends in and it was fantastic. All friends love the flavour. It is on the slightly expensive side as the portion is not that big but a fantastic experience anyway. Will certainly go back

    like faulty towers-they asked us to move table after we had been there for 1/2 hour and we said no, served us warm wine and dumplings and spring rolls that were frozen. Lucky the friends were fun.

    I recently ate here with my family and we all absolutely loved it! The service staff were attentive and the ambiance was really lovely. And THE FOOD! The food was truly delicious - every dish we ordered was incredible. We'll definitely be back :)
