A 16-foot Buddha, which floats above a reflecting pool filled with Japanese carp, presides over the scene at Tao. A favorite destination for celebrities and athletes, this Pan Asian restaurant specializes in authentic Hong Kong Chinese, Japanese and Thai cuisines. Tao has three levels of dining including the prized "Skybox" which offers views of this former movie theater unparalleled in New York. In addition to its 300 seats, Tao includes a sushi bar, lounge and two bars at which to enjoy the food and the show. Appetizers range from $8 - $18; Entrees: $16 -$39.     Had a celebratory lunch yesterday. It was great. Always an awesome customer experience at Tao Uptown. I haven’t been in a while. It was good to go back and enjoy the food and the service.

    Tao is a must have when I’m shopping in nyc. The sea bass is amazing and the menu worked perfectly for my cousins who are vegetarian and gluten free. The mini three martini option just perfect!

    The recent menu changes and additions are spot on delicious. This was our favorite place for Lychee martinis - suddenly something is wrong with them. The waiter was gracious enough to replace them, but 2nd time around was also disappointing. We were too embarrassed to lodge additional complaints, but we won’t be ordering these again unless the original formula is restored.
