another day…another new hotel restaurant 🍽️ @tentenwestend is the kind of place that works for a casual dinner, happy hour drinks, or a solo dine when you just want a glass of wine & an entree! 👉 Think familiar comfort food, seasonal ingredients, and solid cocktails in a relaxed but elevated setting. The cocktails and entrees (NY Strip Steak + Spicy Pork Sausage Ragu) were great, but the appetizers left a little to be desired for me. 📍Ten Ten West End // 1010 New Hampshire Ave NW #westend #washingtondc #dmvfoodie #foggybottom #dcfoodscene

This is one of the worst brunches I’ve been to. the staff isn’t knowledgeable about what they do or do not have on the menu leading you to order something and have them coming back multiple times to tell you they don’t have it. The bar doesn’t understand how to make simple cocktails this is a place you can absolutely skip.

Dear Trevor, I'm very sorry that you had such a poor experience with us. I was disheartened to read your review. I regret that we ran out of items and that your service was anything but welcoming and efficient. We appreciate your feedback and use it to foster improvements. For this reason, we hope you will consider returning. We'd love another opportunity to show you that we care about you and your experience. Sincerely, Christopher Blitz Director of Food & Beverage

The name has changed, but the kitchen hasn't. Features a short, seasonal menu with imaginative appetizers and consistently well-prepared mains and desserts. The daily fresh pasta selection is properly cooked and sauced (tuna bolonaise is worth trying). Greens are fresh and ample. This is a true local gem.

Dear John, Thank you so much for noticing our name change and for taking the time to share such a heartfelt review! We're truly delighted that the consistency of our kitchen caught your attention. It makes us happy to know you enjoyed our seasonal menu, creative appetizers, and the carefully crafted mains and desserts. We're especially thrilled that the fresh pasta and tuna bolognese left a lasting impression! Being called a local gem means the world to us. We can't wait to welcome you back soon for more delicious experiences! Best, Restaurant Management

Went for happy hour and was disappointed by both the service and billing. I ordered two drinks from the spirit-free menu but was initially charged for the alcoholic versions. I also ordered a burger and was neither asked if I wanted fries nor told they were an additional $8. The burger arrived with fries, and I was charged the extra $8. The server also disappeared for 30+ minutes at a time. At one point, I had to go inside from the patio and wait several minutes just to find the server so I could request the bill. All of this would be frustrating on its own, but it was especially disappointing given the 20% service charge.
Ten TenResponded on 21 September 2026
Dear Brian, We are very sorry your happy hour visit fell short. Being charged for alcoholic versions of spirit-free drinks and not being told about the additional charge for fries is unacceptable. We are also sorry the server was away for long stretches of time. Please know that this is not the level of service we strive for. We genuinely appreciate your feedback and hope to have the opportunity to provide you with a much better experience in the future. Once again, on behalf of our team, I offer our apologies. Sincerely, Restaurant Management

Walked in to no one at the host stand. Seemed like the bartender was the only one working. We eventually got seated (by the bartender) but then left because no one ever came over to our table.
Ten TenResponded on 22 September 2026
Dear Christopher, We truly appreciate you bringing this visit to our attention. We sincerely apologize for the oversight with the unattended host stand and the lack of service at your table after being seated. This is certainly not the experience we aim to provide, and we understand how disappointing that must have been. Your feedback is invaluable, and we hope to have the opportunity to deliver a much better experience for you in the future. Sincerely, Restaurant Management

I'm so glad my friend and I discovered this great happy hour spot a short walk from the GW/Foggy Bottom metro. It has a lovely, serene, covered patio that is one of the few spots in DC where you can have a conversation without yelling over the din. The happy hour menu is a great deal and lasts until 6:30 pm. The burger and mushrooms we tried were delicious. I'll definitely be back to try other dishes. Everyone was very warm and attentive.

We decided at the last minute to go out for dinner and decided on a.kitchen+bar which we've been to many times before. It was a nice evening so we sat outside and we were there in time for Happy Hour too. We really enjoyed our meals and I was happy to be able to take my part of my grilled chicken home for another meal-there was so much and it was so delicious. And my husband ordered a delicious little gem caesar salad and a flatbread-he was able to finish all of his dinner but enjoyed it as well. The people who work at the restaurant are very nice as well. We are treated so special and sometimes they bring an unexpected dish from the menu for us as well. Brendan does a great job managing the restaurant also. We always enjoy talking to him as he makes sure to talk to the diners to make sure everyone is happy. I think everyone is happy who dines at a.kitchen+bar!

Terrific wines and delicious dishes, not very big portions so if you’re really hungry be prepared to spend extra but we really enjoyed our meal and evening at a.kitchen + bar in DC!
