Welcome to Dublin's newest bar, in one of it's most historic areas. Enjoy the best of Dublin pub fayre while nursing a pint of the black stuff or perhaps a more sophisticated cocktail. Whatever takes your fancy, at Tenters we were born to serve. The original Tenters bar has stood on this same corner of Mill Street and Blackpitts since the 1920’s right amongst the local linenmakers and distillers for which the area was known.

    Food lovely, we had Charcuterie board and various mains. The starter menu was limited. Cant speak for desserts as we were not offered the menu and kitchen was closed when we asked for that menu. Four of us friends meeting up for Christmas, the live music was very load for having a chat in the first hour or so but the background music was fine later on. Service staff were lovely but it was disappointing about dessert. Having said all that the venue is nice and in an up and coming area, The Liberties. Would recommend. Great to see the regeneration of the general area.

    The venue is lovely and we had live music on arrival which was a nice surprise and created a lovely atmosphere. However the service was shocking, we waited at least 30-40 mins for someone to come over and take a drinks order. We approached several members of staff in this period to ask for help and they all said they would send someone over, but only on the third ask did someone come to our table. The menu was small but our meal was lovely and great value as the portion was large. We then sat for ages again waiting for the bill. It’s a shame as all the staff were lovely but just few and far between. Unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend to family and friends as a result of the service.

    I had cocktails to start. They were very well made, very balanced. Staff were very friendly and helpful with our requests. It's a nice place with a laid back atmosphere. Our food was also very good, worth it of a Gastro pub.

    Lamb was tough, potatoes were cold, that was my mams dinner. Mine was chicken tenders, they were nice. Pricey, the music was loud and the atmosphere wasn’t great

    Had a great pre Vicar st meal here last night. Service was impeccable. Steak was perfect as was the the fish and chips. A smoky twist to the whiskey sour cocktail was a real treat. Apple crumble was gorgeous too. Highly accomplished Singer/guitarist was an added bonus, just a few minutes walk to the venue, really set the night off. Thank you.

    Tenters might actually more night club than restaurant. My mistake. Noise level made conversing impossible, even to the waiters. A little surprising at 6 pm.

    We made reservation due to it being a special occasion. When making the reservation, nothing indicated that there would be a limited menu provided. Once we got there and was seated that's when we were provided a very limited menu or just "pub food" and not the steak or lamb like we wanted. It was explained to us this was due to the American football game that many folks were in town for. I'm not sure why that warrants a limited menu. By this time, nothing else around us had availability so we didn't have much choice. Needless to say it was very disappointing because we were looking forward to a nice dinner for our special occasion.

    The food was very good, but the service was abysmal. Additionally, we made a reservation based on the public menus and when we arrived - the restaurant had an abbreviated special event menu and only was preparing a half dozen dishes or so. When we inquired as to whether we could get the dishes we had come for, the waitstaff simply shrugged like we were the problem for even asking.

    We are here on a big weekend in the city,we got to eat off of your regular menu.A lot ofpeople Got an arranged menu,they wanted your menu not the special one.

    Although the music was good it was too loud to be able to have a conversation in the same space. When I made the reservation online I didn’t know that there would be live music too loud to hear over. I was very happy to find gluten-free fish and chips. The toilets are very clean. I felt it was expensive for what you got.

    Gary + Lesley made our experience so welcoming and fun. I had the chicken Tenthers ( love the play on words) and they were delicious. The decor was stunning & Gary + Lesley were just lovely people. Highly recommend 🫶🏽

    It’s a lovely venue - but air conditioning was so cold and we repeatedly asked for it to be turned off but had no luck. My mother wore her rain jacket during dinner as she was so cold. Food took an age and was just ok - staff are nice but not very inexperienced.

    Our slight disappointment is that the "pub" part of the description is not true. It is really a restaurant. A group of about 14 were gathering there but arriving at different times so we wanted to move around before we sat to eat and that was not possible as every space in the pub was devoted to a dining table. It'd be more accurate to describe this as a restaurant with a full bar.

    looks like an old pub has been totally updated. Menu was limited, which is not always bad. Food selection were not very interesting. Service was very sporadic and they all seemed to be new and did not know anything.

    It was fine. Just fine. I got a different drink that I ordered but I can’t be that person so just drank it. Food was average, nothing spectacular. It was nice, just nice inside.

    Our first time there and it won’t be our last,.service was good my wife and me shared the prawns and asked for extra bread,which never arrived,and then we both had fish and chips,we felt the portion of fish was very small..however it was all round a lovely experience and we would go back..

    It took one hour for our order to arrive, seriously why? The place was not even half full. We live nearby but won’t be visiting again. Service is ridiculously slow, who has time to wait one hour for their order? Not recommended.

    Pleasant surroundings and ambiance. Asked if chicken was warm in salad, confirmed twice that it was. Came out really cold straight from fridge. No option to heat at that stage. Cold day so cold chicken wasn’t ideal
