My second time visiting the Black Forge and once again the warm welcoming feeling made my 21st surreal! Waiter David I believe came over and recognised me from my visit last year that alone showed the staff are very friendly & welcoming making it easy to enjoy the experience! The soup was unreal potatoe & leek soup followed by a 10OZ steak. All my friends and family where blown away and that really makes the day! I brought my own custom cake in and the staff sang happy birthday with a 21st candle and where so welcoming and supportive of the event. Live music was perfect also! The waiter Abbie was a angel serving us and making sure we were happy all time around and did an outstanding job, if I had more money with me i would have tipped more and I do believe Abbie & David are 2 of the most warming staff Iv encountered in the hospitality industry and I’m very happy with how they handled everything. I cannot say anymore about how grateful I am for there service.

Booked a table for three and for our times, we only had been offered a high table. We arrived 15 minutes early and were seated on a better table, though after seeing the high tables, they’re not bad at all either. Everything was reasonable priced and food arrived hot. Their own stout was enjoyed by one of us! It’s a really nice place and I’d recommend paying it a visit. Conor himself made an appearance, too, which of course made the experience much better. The belt is always available for taking photos with, which is good.

Everything great in terms of quality. Wait staff and bar staff very nice. Only thing was the hour wait for our mains. We weren't too bothered as we enjoyed being there.

I was a very disappointed with the food as I had heard so many good things about the Black Forge. The prices were also very high, €11 for a kids goujons and small bowl of chips!!! I ordered the steak sandwich and when it came out it just seemed overloaded. I couldn't really make out what was meat, what was sauce and what was veg. I've had better elsewhere for a lower cost. The lounge staff were amazing and very attentive. The replaying of the Conor McGregor fights and life on all TV's is a bit much and it would have been nicer to maybe have music on them instead. Sad to say I won't be back here in a hurry

First time here, was visiting Dublin from Perth Australia, my Son and I could not fault what we had to eat, tacos and soup for starter, Sunday Roast Beef, fillet steak, cheese cake and apple pie special, forged Irish Stout-was nice, Orchards cider lovely, staff were friendly, polite, professional, lovely friendly pub, hats off to the Chefs, will definitely be back one day 😃

Food was gorgeous and the staff were very friendly but we had to wait for 20 minutes for our drinks order to arrive. Overall it was a brilliant experience and would highly recommend it. We'll be back again!

Amazing food. Great staff and lovely atmosphere we both got the steak sambos and they were lovely. Cooked perfectly and I tried the proper twelve apple whiskey it was beautiful definitely be going back .

The decor is fab and really comfy seats. Staff are amazing. Never left waiting for anything. It was my sons birthday and they brought out UFC belt and he got photos with it and was delighted with himself. Nothing was too much trouble. Amazing food! We travelled from Louth but it was worth the trip.

Brought a colleague to the Black Forge for lunch and it was excellent as usual. She was so impressed by the food. Staff so helpful, friendly and welcoming. Service excellent. Surroundings comfortable and beautiful. Didn't want to leave - will be back for a longer dinner!

Our first visit to The Black Forge was one to remember. The service was immaculate, with food and drinks coming out within 5 minutes of ordering. We had the Sirloin & Fillet steak on hot rocks; the meat was of the highest quality. All of the staff were very friendly, and the atmosphere was cosy, making you feel right at home. We will 100% return on our next visit to Ireland. Thank you all for making our experience so warm and inviting!
