The Cedar Room is a private family owned restaurant and has been voted the #1 steakhouse in the USA privately owned. We are a Certified Angus Beef Restaurant. We are known for our quality craft cocktails by our mixologists. Plus we also offer wines along with both tap and bottle beer. The building was purchased in January 2020 after being vacant for 12 plus years and at that point was completely remodeled and brought back to life to its current beauty all of which includes the dark hardwood floors to the rustic copper ceilings and special Cedar Wood barn doors and cedar used throughout. We are located in the heart of the North Platte Historic Canteen District downtown, which has a very vibrant history. Come join us for a unforgettable experience that will keep you coming back for more.

    The service was excellent as always. We enjoyed the meal, shrimp and saffron risotto and a steak sandwich with sidewinder fries. Thanks for bringing back the sidewinder fries!

    The whole experience was outstanding! Service, food and ambiance. We also had our two pups with us and the staff treated them like family. Brought complimentary water and hamburger patty. Definitely our favorite place!

    The new york steak was more like a flat iron steak. Husband said it was alright but didnt sta d against two other restuarnts he had new yorks at.

    Fantastic appetizers, everything tasted very fresh, locally sourced for the most part. Service was outstanding, felt like upscale dining without a pretentious atmosphere. One of the best lobster tails I’ve ever eaten, would definitely return.
