The Five Fields
We offer Private Dining in The Rocque Room for up to 10 guests.
The combination of exceptional food, superb wine and professional, yet personal service caters for any occasion.
First time at Five Fields and was taken on a wonderful journey from start to finish. The Saturday prix fixe menu hints at only 3 courses but this couldn’t be further from the truth! After a sequence of delicious snacks our starters came in 4 selected components, each more amazing than the last. The cooking is thoughtful, perfectly executed and makes the most of British seasonality. Deserts were luxurious yet not overwhelming. Will be back again very soon...!
Always delivers on great service, beautifully presented and delightful food
Yet another truly outstanding evening from start to finish.Superlative service, food as art and delicious combinations-foils gras outstanding, brill amongst the best ever and desserts were divine.Great sommelier and brilliant front of house style.Truly one of the best and most intimate dining experiences in London.
Wonderful service and exquisite food
Fresh ingredients prepared and presented in new ways - this restaurant was recommended by a friend and I was sold on the first amuse bouche. The rest of the courses continued to delight my palate. Wait staff was attentive and professional.
We had an amazing dinner at The Five Fields. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff & the food was outstanding (not to mention a visual delight). It thoroughly deserves its reputation. You get so many nibbles, amuse bouches etc so I feel the set menu price of £80 pp is actually excellent value. I can not recommend it highly enough.
Tasting menu with matched wines. Very creative presentations, and playful use of flavor profiles. Many of the items had quite bold flavors, but quite acceptable in bite size portions. One of the best Foie Gras courses we have had among a number of high end restaurants. The eel was perfect and paired well with a pleasant Sake. The sommelier here is extremely knowledgable and seems to have an intuitive understanding of some of the very unique wine matching. The Canary Islands wine a pleasant surprise. Overall, a highly recommended gourmand experience.
I had the tasting menu. All dishes are salty for me.
Treat yourself to an outstanding meal at this amazing restaurant. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left over three hours later, everything was sublime. It's not cheap, but it is worth every penny. Well done everyone at The Five Fields for making such delicious food and a truly memorable experience.
Great service and great food! The staff was very attentive and the dishes were innovative, skillfully prepared, and tasty.
Overall dishes are good but don’t give you a “wow” strong impression dishes & tasty memory. Love the presentation of foie gras, the sauces for short ribs & cod were slightly salty. Chocolate & whisky dessert was good, the raspberry & yogurt needs to be improved especially the raspberry cake was so so.
This is a lovely place to meet and eat . The food is beautiful and innovative. The staff attentive and very helpful. My favourite classy restaurant anywhere!
I have been a few times to this restaurant and always love some of it but not all. The service is good and the amuse bouches mostly good but I didn’t like the cheese/carrot soup combo. The foi gras starter was unbelievable to start with the lovely pickled veg but my main was a bit disappointing. It was for deer with black truffle and TBH I wasn’t impressed with the black truffle shavings, they just didn’t seem pungent enough. The jus was also very salty which is never good. I tasted a couple of my fellow diners deserts and they were ok. We had a great value tortontes to start then a good Priorat so wine was good. Overall I’m not rushing back and with so many ‘special occasion’ restaurants now in London, I’m not sure whether five fields lives up to the mark?
Has to be one of my favourite cities in London. Excellent service, delicious menu and wonderful, intimate atmosphere. Definitely recommend the tasting menu!
Amazing in-house Irish Soda Bread and Sourdough bread at the beginning promised a great meal to come. However, to my taste, half of the food was over seasoned and the other half was unmemorable. Hopefully, this was just a night off.
Food is great, service and ambience very good but bill was wrong because wine was wrongly charged. Very annoying and felt like a scam.
Always our top pick whenever we want a decent dinner ! Never let us down. Unlike most fine dining, in addition to just presentation, you can feel each dish was prepared with heart, the taste and texture were just superb !
Outstanding jewel. Very special presentations in the tasting menu. Will accommodate those who diet is restrictive with excellent substitutions. Ambience adds up to an experience of fine dining. Perhaps best in London.
Every bite was a delight, both visual and taste.
True culinarily art, we’ll be back!
Absolutely stunning cooking, sophisticated and celebratory of original components. Definitely NOT a gastro-pub but true fine dining. Outstanding wine list and excellent service.
Absolutely an amazing quit but very luxury place at the same time! Love it so much!
The ambiance , food and service were all excellent. Everything was beautifully presented and the service was as would expect from a restaurant of this level. The starter, Morels three ways and dessert, the pineapple baba were outstanding and the wine list very interesting and not dominated by very expensive French wines but with some reasonably priced unusual wines from the rest of Europe, the sommelier was very helpful.
I will definitely return and next time try the tasting menu with matching wines.
Delicious but also beautiful food
Fantastic in every way. We celebrated our engagement here and the entire staff did a great job! Go for the tasting menu and you will not be disappointed!
We have been here years ago - it was one of our favourites! We loved it! For my partners bday I decided to try it again and it did not let us down. We had the tasting menu and the food was great! My favourite was the foie gras (which was beautiful) and the cod - delish!
They gave us the best table in the restaurant, looking out on the entire place, a comfy sofa sitting next to each other facing out. We had the tasting menu and wine pairings, service was excellent and the food was incredible- id say 2 star quality without a doubt. The restaurant has a nice relaxed ambiance and is intimate and lovely. My 3rd time and I will definitely be going back again and again!
Superb staff, service, outstanding wine menu and sommelier, wonderfully creative food. Small number of tables. Plan ahead reservations recommended.
Amazing ! Thank you for this delicious moment et merci à Sébastien pour ses conseils ... nous avons adoré
Been going to 5 field for the last 3 years. Service is usually relaxed and friendly, Saturday was robotic.
Also, despite recognising my nut allergy and changing my dessert for a fantastic rum baba, they decided to bring us a nut covered chocolate to celebrate our anniversary, apologising that they had nothing without nuts.
Nothing would have been more useful
Thank you for amazing food , great service and wonderful time.
We visited this place to cerebrate for my mom's birthday from Japan.
This trip became a fantastic memories , thanks to you.
Amazing food. Incredibly creative and tasted sublime. Wait staff was exceptional - professional and yet warm and inviting. I cannot believe I did not discover sooner!
A beautiful and intimate room, tables nicely spaced for privacy whilst still feeling part of the overall environment. Very friendly and welcoming front of house. Food all presented delightfully and tasting delicious with deep flavouring. Lovely canapés, first cod mousse in a light crisp wafer tube, then ham hock and piccalilli dumplings with a drop of dill mayonnaise, were perfect alongside our aperitif, a delicate and elegant Nyetimber rosé. We were then also served a clever and tasty amuse-bouche of a cheese custard topped with iirc a little carrot and a duck jus. Starters were complex with contrasting flavour combinations. I took the "Sea and Earth", five small dishes with interesting pairings such as an oyster accompanied by a couple of tiny (wild?) strawberries, new season asparagus with razor clam, and finely cut squid with truffle (the stand-out flavour pairing afaic). My companion had the Morel, the mushrooms cooked beautifully three ways, with celeriac, with monk's beard and with offal (amazing). Alongside these, a 2017 Condrieu Les Terrasses du Palat from the Northern Rhone was crisp, clean and dry with characteristic viognier aroma, although possibly a couple of years too young to show at its best. We went down the meat route for mains with mutton for me and roe deer for my companion. Both were prepared perfectly, pink and tender, with unusual accompanying elements that delivered on both complementary flavours and contrasting textures. A 2005 Viña Tondonia Reserve from Rioja was rich and silky and I highly recommend it as exceptional value by the glass. For dessert, I chose the spiced pear with ginger and hazelnut, topped with a spiced apple foam, which was joyously indulgent, and my companion had the apple with strawberry and fennel, which looked fabulous and which she declared tasted fabulous as well. A glass of the honeyed 2014 Renaissance Vendanges Tardives from Gaillac set these desserts off a treat. Overall, a memorable meal in a lovely restaurant.
Service from the front of house to the sommelier was very good but the quality of the food has let it down unfortunately. At that price point, you can definitely get better food and just as good a service at other fine establishments.
Utterly faultless: service, food, ambience and the beautiful wine list. Intimate venue that manages to strike the balance between cosy yet fine dining. Sea and Earth starter is a stroke of genius, always love trying its various forms. Ingenious menu, excellent yet unobtrusive service. A firm favourite. Thank you!
Excellent food, superb service, good wine selection, what else one can ask for in a restaurant? Would definitely go back.
Degustation menu offered exquisite food, beautifully presented in a gorgeous room, served by a staff who really understand the offering
This continues to be exceptional from the moment of arrival-brilliant staff completely focussed on customers, excellent knowledge of food, wine and choices. The setting is intimate with great space between the tables and with the number of covers that allows for conversation without being drowned out by others or overheard.
Food on this occasion was again exceptional-Sea and Earth a complete delight and the new addition for the evening ( I was the first to order) of Brill with the most fantastic green leaves of spring including sea kale.
In my humble opinion, this is in the top 5 Restaurants in London-and a regular for my and our fruends
This was an absolutely outstanding find. Booked on a last minute whim, we had a first rate dining experience from start to finish. The attention to detail (including plate placement, use of crockery and constituent ingredients) was second to none. The food was creative, exciting and full of innovative flavour combinations that really worked. We had an unexpectedly special and memorable evening. Thank you so so much to all the staff, the army of chefs who made everything so perfect - including the immensely aromatic irish soda bread!
Amaxing food beautifully presented. A gastronomic experirnce.
Wonderful food and service, just the right pace on the tasting menu and very helpful sommelier. Thanks for a great evening!
