   Staff really helpful and lovely, I asked for a cocktail not on the menu and they still made it for me no problem at all, even helped me with a taxi back to my hotel nothing was to much trouble great evening out.

   The food and customer service was really good. The food came out promptly and nothing was too much to ask for the waiting staff. Restaurant should probably think about installing some sort of air handling unit.

   Superb food! We booked the restaurant for our sons 30th birthday. Five of us enjoyed quality food and it was a nice experience too. The staff fully informed you what to do when your food arrived and it tasted great. Well done to the butcher who provides the meat and well done to the restaurant who prepare it. Thank you for putting a birthday card and red rose on the table. A great evening in a lovely place

   A quiet evening in Derby but the lack of diners was not noticed, the team looked after us very well, the steak's, chips and sauces were all excellent. The beer was cold and tasty. Overall a 5 star evening. Thank you.

   Shocking service ! You walk past the kitchen and they are playing music and dancing ! Tried to take our starters whilst eating , brought the steak out whilst eating starters so by the time we had the steak it was overdone ! No plates or cutlery! In all pretty bad !

    We had such a lovely meal last night, to the point where we have rebooked for a couple of weeks time. I have eaten at many steak restaurants in the past, which were far more expensive, but no where near as good as what we experienced last night. To be able to cook our steak at the table just as we liked it was great. Staff were super as was the atmosphere. A really great evening

    1st time we have been here and been served steak on a lava stone. Won’t be the last. Steak was lovely. We had posh prawn cocktail for starters and ice cream for afters. And a nice bottle of wine 🍷

    A nice experience and a first for me. Didn’t know what to expect but it’s safe to say I enjoyed the whole experience. The cuts of steak are of a very high quality. I went for the rump so expected a bit of fat but it was lean, thick, succulent and very tender. Will definitely be going again ☺️

    We booked for the very first time and after checking out customer reviews and photos we were very excited. We had an amazing experience, from the friendly and welcoming staff, to the rustic feel of the restaurant we were so impressed. The food is outstanding, presented well, delicious and great value for money. You didn’t feel rushed to finish your food and the staff were attentive and helpful throughout.

    The smell in the restaurant is awful. The minute I walked in it just smelt like fried food and the smoke in the restaurant was awful. Now I understand this is a steakhouse where you cook you own steak on a stone so this can’t be helped, however there should be better ventilation / windows open / fans to avoid this. I came out absolutely stinking, all my clothes, my hair, even my shoes and my bad stink. Awful. Definitely haven’t and won’t recommend to family and friends.

    It was enjoyable but the steaks were unseasoned and rather bland. No one enjoyed the 'chips' that accompanied the steaks. The starters of either prawns pil,pil or chicken wings were very good.

    The two starters we wanted ( seafood basket and posh prawn cocktail ) were not available and it would have been nice to be told that before choosing, then when we picked the Camembert sharing platter it would have been nice for some plates to eat off. With our main meals chips overcooked and not pleasant at all, hence no desserts

    By far the best food I’ve had in a very long times, they even went to the effort of putting a ballon and card on the table for our friend who was 40. Really great place to visit and would certainly go back again.

    Overall the food is really good. Unfortunately, we were sat upstairs and there were 2 table of 15 males who were extremely noisy. Ideally they should sit couples differently to large groups as we sat in silence most of the time as we literally couldn't hear each other speak.

    Service was excellent , steaks are amazing but the starters are criminally overpriced. The knives are blunt which I totally understand with cutting steaks on the cooking stones but they need sharpening daily. Overall a very special meal thank you. Graham Dale.

    We went for my friend’s birthday having been before and enjoyed it, we were sat downstairs which I’ve never been before (always been upstairs) it was cold and draughty and dident seem very clean . The steak wasn’t the best and to be honest don’t think we shall be going again!!

    I would have scored the service a 5 as the girls were great it’s just understaffed. Our main course was a 5 but the piri piri prawns were in a dry spice sauce and the spices hadn’t been cooked off. Great places just needs some tweaks.
