The quality of the starters & main courses was first class but for those who favour a large portion the amount of food would be disappointing. The desserts were disappointing, looked lovely but lacked real flavour. The staff were attentive & good natured despite being very busy. Overall, despite enjoying the food & wine we felt the meal was overpriced.

Food good but service slow & disorganised. Wait staff walking around with plates searching for table numbers. Took 30 minutes for starters to arrive. Another set arrived 10 minutes later. Took an hour to get our main course. Others who arrived after us were served before us. Drinks menu on table but no one offered us a drink despite them being aware we were sitting with no food or drink for most of the first hour. Cancelled our dessert as we just couldn’t wait to get out of the place. We opted to sit outside thinking it would be warm but it was actually cool & breezy. Lots of dust on the table. Asked to be moved inside shortly after we arrived but ‘could not be facilitated’ - I think the staff were just too stressed to organise it. There seemed to be lots of space inside. Overall very disappointing. Had booked as a birthday treat for my sisters and to avoid delays & queues. The manager was gracious when we expressed our disappointment and did reduce the bill. That said, even if the service had been better I think it is overpriced at €45 for 2 courses.

The service was poor considering the price of the meal. We waited an hour between starters and mains. The bread at the table was stale and the tables themselves were very dirty and not set well. Overall, I was disappointed that we booked in for this, I was expecting a better experience.

Lovely to sit down for table service and have a few cocktails. Could have eaten two portions of the Parmesan dumplings, delicious and we were so hungry! I book a table every year when we go to Bloom.

While the food was nice, the service was really poor. We were not there at a busy time, many tables were empty. We asked three times for our coffee order which never arrived and asked four time for the bill. As the service was so slow we had to cut short our time then in the gardens. I appreciate it was a busy day for staff but this could probably have been predicted…. The food was nice but very small portions and certainly a small dish of dumplings and dessert was not worth €45. I hope this can help improve the experience for other diners next year.

Husband had the chicken starter and he said it tasted like the crumb wasn’t cooked. I had the brownie dessert and found it very dry. Portion sizes were adequate and rest tasted nice. Lovely atmosphere.

Food was fabulous however the service apart from one lady was useless … they did not seem to be trained at all. There was a large group in from Bord bia and on entrance the guy said oh you must be in other section I was like no we booked for the garden restaurant …he wasn’t even working at the restaurant all his concern was for bord bia invites… we were originally put outside however it was cold and thankfully one waitress able to move us indoors….despite others saying they couldn’t .. I had specified that we wanted indoors on booking … felt that we were treated badly as not part of the large bord bia group.. even though we were paying guests. The only thing we can’t fault is the food .. when paying you do expect service to be good but unfortunately very poor.. we were handed glasses of wine with hands over the glass .. no trays … very very bad service .. overall disappointing .. plus we had sent bread back twice and told them no point in taking another out as both were so hard obviously sitting out all day… their answe everyone is complaining about the bread 😡

When we arrived we discovered we were in the middle of a corporate event and clearly unwanted (although they did have our booking). We stood at the desk for 10 minutes before anyone can to “welcome us”. The menu was essentially the same as previous years but the food had obviously been cooked a long time before and was dried out. It’s a shame, this used to be lovely and a “highlight” of a pleasant day. Wouldn’t bother booking again.

The most unpleasant unrelaxing experience I have ever had the misfortune to PAY for in my entire life of visiting eateries and restaurants , booking was for 12.30 about 5 tables inside were occupied when we sat down , our table for 2 was with another couple of strangers doubled us up with people already eating ,we were seated inside a double door open with an ice cold wind blowing through ( we eventually asked if 1 of them could be closed over to defrost) . No member of staff looked like there was any order on their day . No system or organisation on who was looking after our table . Or indeed any table near us . We Had to ask could we place our order after a lengthy wait . Every drink and course of food were brought by different waiting staff . Every time a member of staff walked passed us the floor shook so notably the glasses shook and our seats rocked . My main course was luke warm . I wouldn’t even give 1 star but in order to put in a review I had to tap something . Wouldn’t recommend this franchise to anyone attending bloom . It ruined my day at bloom. Instead of having a nice relaxing experience which I thought it would be , we would have been better off queuing at one of the mobile food options and sat in the gardens . Deplorable

Stay away ! We ate here with 3 children. There was no children’s menu on Friday, my kids were offered chicken goujons and chips at €8.75 then we were charged €12.50 each. They were overcooked and chips over salty. When booking I stated that 1 diner was coeliac. It was a 3 course meal priced for either 2 or 3 courses. Only 1 item on the menu was gluten free. After about 15 minutes I was told I could have 1 other option minus half the items on the plate. I had 1 course only and was charged €37.50 for below par food. My husband had a starter and asked for it at the same time as his meal, they couldn’t even do that right. His food was mediocre too. Talk about having a captive audience and fleecing them. It is typical in Ireland. My kids like good food. Kids do have taste buds but €42 each for 2 courses was a stretch 🤦🏼‍♀️

Service began well with starters delivered quickly. However main courses took about 45 minutes to arrive, despite asking staff several times. People that arrived a good while after us were served before us. To be fair, the manager did not charge for desserts or coffee to compensate.

Didn't care for the long tables set up, preferred the smaller, more intimate settings as in the past. Food was nice, but starters were disappointing. Service was okey but a little slow at times. Not sure if we would make such an effort to get a table in the future.

I was impressed with the food : very tasty, beautifully presented, hard to make . The only complaint I have is : the floor in the pavilion was moving every time a waiter passed our table - so it was like eating on a boat.

The meal started well with nice starters, however it was down hill from there. For mains, I had the beef, which was covered in fat. While my partner had chicken which was dry as it had been sitting under heat lamps. We noted this to the waiting staff and it was not even acknowledged and moreover we paid 100e for the experience. We were so looking forward to it however, we would never do this again especially when there were so many wonderful and cheaper food stalls at Bloom.

Food was over priced, over cooked hake and tasteless. Bread & butter left out on all the tables.. stale and god knows how long they had all been left sitting on outdoor tables.. flies.. etc. bread & butter should NOT have been placed on tables until the customer sat at their table. Horrendous and extremely disappointing definitely not worth the €120 we spent. Never again!

We had booked a birthday lunch for my mother and it was a little disappointing. Nothing special about the Garden Restaurant. Not even slightly decorated, just white plastic tables and chairs. Not a flower in sight. Wait staff were nice but seemed untrained. One serving us was chewing gum with an open mouth every time he came over to us it was disgusting. Others just didn’t have the care or attention you’d expect. Four of us had lunch and shared wine for a total of €230, not worth it.

Food was good. Setting wasn’t great, we had booked for a table of 5 and were seated at a table for 4 with a chair brought over for the 5th person. No table setting was put down for the 5th person until a waitress noticed when taking our order. When the place setting was brought both the water glass and wine glass were dirty. No toilets in close proximity which meant that when two people from our table went to the bathroom after ordering, they came back to everyone having finished their starters. Staff were lovely but seemed under pressure and badly managed. Prices of €42 for 2 courses did not match the experience. We wouldn’t book it again

We had the two course because the choice of starters didn’t appeal to us. Dinner and dessert were fabulous. Staff very attentive. We were seated outside which would have been lovely on a good weather day-windy and overcast, had to weigh down some items on the table.

Service was terrible. Servers were clearly untrained. People who came in after us had both courses served to them before we even got our starters. Had to repeatedly ask for bread, finally served with the main course! Had to constantly remind staff of our orders. Value is poor. Won't be returning, much better value to be had in the city centre.

Food was wonderful. Our booking came after a large group had just left. Room was very messy and chaotic, bookings too close together! Table wasn’t set properly, had to ask for water several times, cutlery and glasses dirty. Service standards were very poor, I work in the hospitality industry I know it’s almost impossible to get staff but the basics would definitely of made a difference here. Overall for the price, I was sorry I didn’t eat elsewhere at the festival. The food was amazing but the overall experience a let down
