   The venue is beautifully modern and rustic. The service was warm and friendly and not a single error throughout. The lamb with parmesan tortellini was a 10/10. A side of fresh white bread would be fantastic to go with this dish but it couldn't be faulted. The flavour of the chicken pie was great but there was far touch pastry encasing the small amount of filling. More filing and you have a perfect pie. Overall a lovely place to eat and highly recommend.

   Beautiful and tasty dishes. Although there are not many options on the menu, the food was delicious and original (nothing boring). I would definitely recommend it and we will come back

   The chocolate dessert was a knockout, should be called Valhrona Forest. My bream was delicious with lots of variety on the plate. The beef pie was disappointing. The place was warm and pleasant. Service with Kevin is always a pleasure. Still one of my favourite places to have lunch and good value.

    Always a wonderful experience with the most delicious and seasonal food. And such a lovely spot too with great staff. Sone cushions on the chairs is my only recommendation!!

    Have been many times and it is always a treat to eat the dishes made mostly with ingredients grown and bred in the estate, changing with the seasons but always so fresh and full of flavours. The room is beautiful with great natural light. Service can be slow but it’s worth the wait.

    The dish (smoked salmon with rosti of potatoes and eggs) looked very bare because they were stacked together, leaving much empty space around the plate. It would've been nice to throw some salad/greens on the side. I also had to order extra sourdough to make the meal more filling. It was delicious nonetheless, it just needed a little bit of sides to fill the meal.

    It was a very cold day so the dining area was rather cold. Although the fire was lit we kept our coats on. There was only one other table occupied so the ambience was a bit bleak. The food was well cooked - the lamb especially was very good. We thought the combination of slow cooked lamb in loads of gravy and parpadelle rather odd.

    Shocking to see the retrograde changes in The Grainstore, specifically in the menu…..scones & coffee no longer available is a travesty. Directed by lovely staff to The Dairy Yard only to find cream is not served with the scones any more! In Ireland!! A country renowned for its dairy produce - what are you thinking??? So disappointing in every aspect (except for your staff) . Your quirky charming restaurant now looks more like a canteen, bland & ordinary. Having been happy customers forever, we now have NO reason to give you our custom. Heartbroken 💔

    Very good service from attentive and friendly staff. Food was tasty being cooked well and well presented. Ambience was fine in what must have been a converted barn. Will definitely revisit.

    Had Sunday lunch with Granny...were looked after really well...friendly and efficient with fresh food...catered for one coeliac guest with no fuss...lovely ambience...Nice country feel...enjoyed it immensely

    Great food, great service from Kate. The only thing I would change is where we were seated. Although I asked for a warm and quiet table, away from others, we were seated by a door at a table with a family with young kids. There were lots of other tables so we could have sat at 5 other tables matching my request!

    Disbelief and disappointment! We planned our visit to the GrainStore for quite sometime attending with a party of five for a pre birthday lunch. From the minute we entered the restaurant we were met with the feeling we were and inconvenience having pre booked my husband gave out name and the number of people the person looking after us was unaware of our booking as he look for a table we noticed a table with reservations on it which turned out to be our table when my husband again stated we had booked so he put us at the table with what you could only call resentment? I very soon started to feel I had built the place up to much and found myself apologetic to our guests as thinks would just go from bad to worse despite the restaurant have a good number of floor staff and not being that business yet I had found it had to book a table on the run up? We wold go on to have the worst restaurant experience ever very poor customer service waiting large amount of time to get any service from taking orders to no follow up at all. Our food came after a long period of waiting I must point out it looked very well presented but on eating three of the five eating found the food to have a very high salt content with two of us leaving the food completely. Around us at two other tables we noted they also were experiencing bad service. By the time we eventually got the menus for dessert we opted only to have coffee and teas this took a long time to yet again arrive yet a large number of staff when it did arrive two had tea presented with filthy mug so we declined to drink the tea a flat white came as a cappuccino and the atmosphere was terrible at one point one of the party as for the toilets we were told the were out door they found the toilet to be filthy and not flush. We decided to pay and leave as we had never experienced such bad service we left apologise to our guests never to return. after two of the guests who had had Seafood chowder laced with salt were unwell.

    A request for a table change - my party of four didn’t want to be sat at the kitchen door - turned into a row at 930am in an empty cafe. It was laughable actually, but sad, weird and disappointing too. Got the table in the end but wow. The rest of the staff are lovely. The food isn’t bad either but maybe a little hipster for me - sometimes you just want porridge, granola or a traditional fry!

    Lovely meal with the right sized portions and full of flavour. The flat whites were not great, just too much liquid in the cup. The service was very good. It was a little off putting that the floors were being swept around us as we ate our meal, but that’s probably because it was the final service of the day.

    The service is very slow. No server is making eye contact with tables to check if anything is needed. You have to always initiate contact yourself.

    Amazing place for delicious late lunch ( desserts are so tasty, pear crumble and sticky toffee pudding) at the fire stove. Great, relaxing place for friends or romantic lunch. Will return.

    Very underrated in my opinion - amazing food every time we've visited Don t usually leave reviews, but this place really stands out above the rest. It's not pretending to be anything, but the food speaks for itself and that why i ll be returning.
