Delicious food, the chef is obviously very talented. We had tarragon chicken, gammon and a couple of very creative and unusual desserts. Staff were lovely but service was slow and disorganised. We eventually got a glass of wine on the house as we had to ask for it so many times. Quiz night was good fun but the lady was so softly spoken we couldn't hear her well. A mic would have helped her. Overall a really enjoyable evening however.

Food was very poor. Chef came out holding vape with dirty shirt. 2 of choices had run out. Food dropped on floor when brought to table. Sandwich served on stale bread. Thankfully not charged for. Coffee did not even taste like coffee, friends coffee was completely spilt in the saucer on delivery. Eaten here 4 times before but would not eat here again nor recommend.

Thoroughly enjoyed our Sunday lunch with you and we will be back. Good service. Given 4 stars instead of 5 because there was only a choice of two sweets available on the day.

Firstly it was Pie Night, the second time we have been to this since The Greg reopened a few weeks ago. The food was excellent but unfortunately the waiting time for the food was totally unacceptable. We had a booking for a party of 3 at 7:15pm and arrived slightly early at 7:05pm. We ordered our drinks at the bar on entry to save time and were then shown to our table. There were another 12 diners in the restaurant when we were seated, 6 of them already eating, and our food order was taken at around 7:10pm. Unfortunately we then had to wait an hour and 20 minutes for our food to arrive which was totally unacceptable. Another table also had a long wait and none of us were happy with that. We had no apology from the staff about the long wait, and when we asked after an hour how long it would be, we were told it was being plated. It still took another 20 minutes to arrive. It is such a shame as the pies were delicious, but if you have a specific 'pie night', then surely they should be delivered to your table MUCH quicker than they were. We we have been visiting The Greg regularly over the years and also love their steak nights, but we will definitely think twice before we book again. No one should have to wait that long for their food and if there was an unexpected delay then we should have been told.

Enjoyed dining here with family. Gave a good for food as I only had a sandwich but the chips with it were delicious. I will be back to try an evening meal with friends
