    It's been a while since we were there and the food was as usual v good the service was poor with all the staff they had between floor staff runners managers on I pads ect it felt like things were off our table was booked for 330 went in at 310 for a bottle of wine before hand at 410 I had to go and ask reception area where our table was we had asked the bar manager to open a second bottle of wine and have it at our table when we sit down when we got our first bottle by the time we got it we had finished our starters we had a credit to be taken off the bill which no one could wk out how to do that was another 15 mins all in all I was looking forward to going back but there is much better restaurants for the same money value something seems different even the decorations this year very underwhelming hugh 0872315869

    We had breakfast here yesterday and everything about our visit was fab from start to finish. I even got a little cake and candle as it was my birthday a lovely touch. We had dinner about 2 weeks ago and it was super too. We’ll definitely be back

    Poor service and order wasn't correct. Smoked salmon served on hot plate with no brown bread. Pot of water ordered but coffee delivered, took 10 mins to correct. No soda bread available so loaf bread given which was stale. Service poor with staff having difficulty understanding orders this is the second time the service and food ordered was wrong so won't be back

    We had a lovely time with great food until it came to the bill - we had paid cash for two drinks at the beginning of the night but they were on the bill The discussion with three different staff members and management ruined the night for us. They did not believe us and said they would look at the CCTV. This went on for over 20 minutes and they said they could not see us paying for the drinks. We were made feel like we were trying to steal these drinks - €25 on a bill of over 340€ This was incredibly badly handled - so disappointing and a night that was great fun up to then ruined

    We have always loved the Ivy Dublin having been there several times but last night just didn’t deliver. We were 20 minutes late getting brought to our table. The wrong steak was brought out for my husband ( he ordered a fillet but was brought a sirloin. ) when the right order was eventually delivered it hadn’t been rested and there was blood on the plate for a medium rare fillet, Just too busy and service suffered when it hadn’t in the past.

    Always love eating in The Ivy Dawson Street. Lovely ambience and friendly helpful staff. Food is excellent however I did notice prices have increased since our last visit but don’t mind once food is still of high standard.

    There were mixed reviews but it was a lovely dinner experience for us. It was 15mins wait at the bar. The food, service and ambiance was great. We got the cute birthday plate that was requested. It was pricey but worth it.

    The question...how Coeliac are you?.... demonstrates that there is a huge gap in the understanding that Coeliac Disease is an autoimmune disease and not an allergy/fad.....you either have Coeliac disease or not, there are no levels! Consuming gluten for a Coeliac person can cause very serious consequences both short term and long term (cancer, infertility to name but a few). I understand that a restaurant like IVY has limitations and cannot provide a differently prepped meal for everyone. However, if you claim to understand food intolerances etc., please train yourselves and your staff accordingly. In Italy, for example, you might be asked, are you Coeliac or are you allergic to gluten. The difference here is the impact of cross contamination on those who are Coeliac by comparison to those who are allergic. There is good material available from Coeliac Association of Ireland.........you are welcome!

    Had a fabulous Xmas lunch with my husband on Thursday 7th. Lovely atmosphere, definitely full of Christmas spirit. We had two very attentive waiters looking after us, don't remember the names, but looked after us really well,. Would definitely be back, yes more expensive than your average lunch but you are in Dublin and its a one off. Will definitely be back, keep up the good work Team Ivy

    Wonderful experience. Arrived late due to bad traffic. We were extremely well looked after by all the staff. The food was excellent and beautifully presented. Will definitely return to The Ivy. Thanks to everyone who looked after us.

    I'm extremely disappointed with my recent dining experience at your restaurant. We ordered the burrata from the set menu, but were served a tasteless mozzarella instead. It was evident that they had run out of burrata as only one guest received it, while the rest of us got mozzarella. Initially, the staff denied the mistake, but only after insisting did they acknowledge the error. Considering we were a table of 11, the compensation offered was inadequate. We were given a 50 euros discount (equivalent to 4 euros per person) and the service charge was waived. This is particularly disheartening because the error was not on the part of the waitstaff but rather the chef. This experience has left a lasting negative impression, and I am hesitant to return in the future.

    Business breakfast booked for 4 but changed to 5 when we arrived although the restaurant was busy, this was no problem. All staff were incredibly polite and professional, we were actually served by Ivy in fact who was very friendly and polite. Great spot for brekkie with a lovely atmosphere and lots of choice on the menu. The pancakes which were ordered by 3 of our party were fine, I do think additional berries and maple syrup, cream cheese would be a welcomed addition. We will certainly be back

    While we were a party of 3 we had a table that was very squashed and would have been more suitable for 2 people. The people at the table beside us were on top of us and it was difficult to have a conversation in private. They were two lovely people and from chatting to them they felt the same way. The service was slow…starters came pretty quick but then we waited for some time for our main dishes. It was very busy and had nice atmosphere but overall was just uncomfortable.
