We had a 9pm and it was very busy when we arrived. A lot of staff at first and then it died out quickly along with staff. First course and dessert wasn’t served correctly . We were eating our appetizers and half way done when they came with something they pour over it. We didn’t know that was coming. Serve was good and very friendly but very busy so we were patient with him. It’s definitely an evening event. A lot of staff when we arrived but everyone seemed to get cut and our service was a lot slower than others around us. I’d say go earlier. Beautiful restaurant and food was good.

Had a horrendous experience in the Ivy last night. My fiancé and I just got engaged and we booked dinner to celebrate our engagement. When we arrived our table wasn't ready so we were asked to have a drink at the bar first. That was fine, when we were eventually moved to our table 30 mins later our drinks weren't brought to our table. The food was okay. we had starters and mains, we had a chicken dish which was very bland. After we'd finished we were still drinking our drinks and the waiter asked if we'd move to the bar to finish. We were totally put out by that as we hadn't been seated long (40 mins) and we waited so long for our table. We reluctantly moved to the bar to find there was no seats for us and we awkwardly stood at the side of the restaurant trying to down our drinks so we could leave. If the waiter needed the table and wanted to move us to the bar he should've firstly arranged for us to have seats. We were Very disappointed and left with a very sour taste in our mouth after parting with €180.

Booked table for 1.45pm requested table to be close to disabled bathroom and be accessible for wheelchair....None of the above requests fulfilled I arrived on time but was made wait 15mins as table not ready given I wear a prosthetic leg standing for 15mins was extremely uncomfortable, I found the front of house staff rude and u professional when I asked for a seat. Food was average at best chips were over cooked and cold....coffee was however very good and the waiting staff very nice professional and welcoming The restaurant has far to many tables we where packed in like a can of sardines, the noise level was ridiculously loud as was the music playing....No atmosphere to mention. Overall, an extremely underwhelming and over priced experience....I won't be returning nor would I recommend to anyone far nicer places in that area

Food was good however service was off. On arrival the lady on the desk questioned if I had made a booking and then backtracked when she realised that the other party member had arrived. The waitress asked us to order as soon as I sat down very rushed. She also kept interrupting us whilst we were speaking more than the usual is everything ok? Lastly she delivered my coffee without a teaspoon. We were disappointed with the number of interruptions from the waiting staff especially as they spoke over us without saying the standard excuse me.

We had to wait a little while for our initial drinks but that was due to our waiter having to take an order from the party next to us with a total of six allergies!!! However, after that, our evening flowed perfectly & our waiter was quite superb, with marvellous attention to detail, and a lovely smile!

It was our first time at The Ivy. Lovely restaurant, very attentive staff and lovely food. We told the staff we had to leave at a specific time and they served us quickly with a smile. Will definitely going back.

Went there as I had 100€ voucher from my colleagues. Really nice place. We enjoyed the Irish Special menu. Would recommend. A bit noisy and pricey but worth a try.

The food was just ok. The salt crusted sour dough bread was hard and cold. The half chicken was lukewarm. The truffle potatoes dry on top. My food came out so quickly after I had ordered. All of these things make me think the food was prepared many hours before and kept in a warmer that wasn’t working.

The setting, staff and general experience is always fantastic. Food is well prepared, diverse and of course tastes great. €38.50 for a Risotto is too expensive. I eat there regularly and i am at the stage of looking for better value with equivalent standards.

This was a wonderful spot; the decor and atmosphere were perfect for a birthday event or special occasion. The servers were exceptionally warm and professional. In general, the food was quite good, but some dishes and drinks lacked a depth of flavour and complexity I would have hoped for at their price point and given the wonderful ambiance. The burger, side of tomato salad, and fries we ordered were all superb with the salad and fries being perhaps the best I have ever eaten. Other dishes and drinks -- like the Shepards pie and green juice -- were less outstanding. The apple tart dessert was excellent but was unfortunately drowned out by the flaming brandy (I would recommend omitting it/reducing the amount if you order) while the Chocolate bomb was theatrical and well-loved by many, but we which we ultimately found to be slightly too sweet and lacking substantial mass. Overall though, an excellent spot.

I ordered the grilled halloumi entree which was meant to be on a base of cous cous and grains but was on a pile of mostly golden sultanas …which wasn’t nice. Expensive enough for 3 pieces of cheese and some garnish!

Lovely place and great atmosphere! very good food. Plenty of interesting choices. Can’t wait to go back and try more. The seating at the bar area is not big enough to cater all people waiting to be seated, that would be my only but. But overall a very good experience.

Overall we enjoyed our evening at The Ivy. The only negative was 2 glasses smashed right beside us leaving debris on the floor and table(this happened at 2 separate times). It was cleaned up but we where not offered a complimentary drink or anything to make up for this. We where a disappointed that nothing was offered..

Afternoon menu on website not available for our 4.30pm table. Only a la carte. Service was poor not very personal. Waiter forgot to take down one main so had to wait a long time for one guest dinner. Apology of the waiter was quite insincere. Drinks were slow. Dessert menu was slow. Shepherds pie portion for e24.95 was extremely bad value. Nothing amazing just a fancy size portion of ordinary shepherds.
