   We arrived at 6pm, allowing plenty of time to have our pre-Theatre dinner. We were seated at the back, which was fine. We were not given the pre-Theatre menu. This took almost 10 further minutes and it was then that we were able to order our drinks and water, on this very hot day. It took ages for my starter to arrive - indeed I saw both courses arrive at the same time, but our server sent them back and at least another 5mins passed before my starter finally arrived. I made short shrift of it as I was hungry. It was shortly before 7pm when our main Course arrived, allowing half an hour to eat, order and eat a dessert and get into the Bridge Theatre, to our seats. Less than a minute before the play began. This was not my idea of an enjoyable pre-show dinner. The Server, who was very pleasant, but working alone, knew we were going to the Theatre. I live locally and have been a fairly regular visitor to The Ivy since you opened. I celebrated my 70th Birthday there 3 years ago. Since the beginning, there have been annoying problems, virtually every time I have visited. It can be something simple such as having to ask several times for condiments, mayonnaise etc. It was even Afternoon Tea arriving the wrong way round, with no cutlery and no milk for the tea. It is an increasingly growing list - and locals are not at all as delighted as we once were. ‘The Ivy’ it most certainly is not.

   It was a great meal, enjoyed by all. We've been to a number of different The Ivy restaurants and were not disappointed! Being at the Tower Bridge site was extra special due to dining outside and having the bridge as a beautiful backdrop.

   Staff were very accommodating in finding us a seat Outside as inside was too hot. I had a small baby with me and staff supported with finding us a table with enough space.

   My first visit, using a voucher my sister and brother in law bought me and my husband for Christmas. Sadly, my husband passed away in May, so I visited with my 2 sisters. The restaurant was very lively, too noisy for me really, but the food and service couldn't be faulted. We chose the Set Menu and there was enough choice to satisfy us all. We did order side salads to accompany our pasta main courses, but the waiter forgot to put the order through. However, probably just as well, as the pasta was very filling, and very yummy! All in all, it was a good experience, but I do question some people's interpretation of 'smart casual '. Shorts and a football top with grubby trainers aren't my idea of smart casual...I saw at least 2 people dressed like that !!!

   Ate from the a la carte menu . Partner and I had a main and dessert . Food was good , service was good , all waiters were courteous and helpful but as the restaurant got busier during lunch it was apparent some confusion on service was occurring and some long delays experienced . Overall a pleasant lunch and the delays and mistakes didn’t spoil the occasion .

    Front desk super helpful , managed to get a bar space for pre drinks but bit stressful that u can’t book it as when it’s an occasion you don’t want to wing it! Lovely table location - we had originally booked outside but due to heat changed to inside as the help team had said full air con, however should have kept outside booking as they opened the bi gold doors! So we were hot without a breeze. Staff all great and food was amazing

    We had great seats, the food was as we had hoped: hot, delicious and all on time. Service was friendly and prompt. The final cost was also reasonable when compared to the quality of food delivered to our table. Thanks Ivy.

    I do love the ivy and we had a nice evening but there was no AC so it was really hot inside which made it difficult to enjoy and be completely relaxed. We also waited a long time for water at the end of our meal asking several times but not receiving any until we decided to get up and walk out. When we checked our bill we noticed drinks on there which were not ours. Once we told the waiter he removed them from the bill and refunded us though. As a frequent visitor to the Ivy in different locations, this one is not my favourite but on a positive the food was good and the location is stunning as you look at Tower bridge although sadly we couldn’t see it from our table.

    As always I very much enjoyed my visit to the Ivy Tower Bridge. I would’ve preferred a stronger belt of air conditioning on such a hot evening and I was very relieved when the live music stopped because it was too loud to allow of easy conversation …. I have not encountered this issue at an IVY before and felt it distracted from the very pleasing ambience.

    Treated ourselves to a visit to The Ivy Tower Bridge and we had a wonderful experience. The food was top quality from the steak tartare starter to the prawn and monkfish curry. Dessert didn't disappoint with rum babba and chocolate bomb. Lovely atmosphere and the service was excellent. Definitely coming again.

    Meal for six on our way to an event. We had a lovely table outside under cover which was well needed on such a hot day. There were live singers which was a nice touch. Our table wasn’t ready when we got there despite being exactly on time, so the hostess suggested we sit at the bar whilst waiting. There were not enough seats together as a man was sitting in the middle of the bar. When the hostess asked if he wouldn’t mind moving a few seats down so we could sit together he refused! I can never understand why some people are like this! The hostess was very apologetic to us even though it wasn’t her fault he was so rude! We had to wait about ten minutes before our table was ready but that was fine. When we were shown to our table outside we had a lovely view of Tower Bridge. The seats on one side felt really low, we commented that we felt like children sitting so low down! The service was a bit slow to start but we appreciate that in the current climate many restaurants are struggling with staffing issues. Once we put in our drinks orders everything flowed well. The food was fine. You know what you are getting when you come to The Ivy. The staff were helpful. Overall, a nice experience and we would return.

    We visited The Ivy Brasserie for my husband’s birthday. I had booked the table quite a while ago and was hoping for a good table inside. When we arrived we were taken to a table at the wall in between two tables. In our opinion, the worst table in the restaurant It was a very disappointing table to be offered. One of us would be facing the wall and very close to other diners. We sat for 15 mins without anyone coming over to serve us, which wasn’t a great first impression. We decided that we wanted a different a table. We were then moved to the window, which was better. The restaurant was extremely hot. There was no air con or fans. The doors were wide open on one of the hottest days of the year. I quite uncomfortable to have lunch in this temperature. When we were served, the service was ok but slow. We had to regularly ask for our wine to be served and for glasses to be removed. We also asked for ice, which was provided once, but not on the second occasion. We wanted ice as warm wine was served to us. The waiter was friendly, but rather aloof. The food overall was good. A birthday scone arrived with a candle for my husband, which was nice. However, overall, it was an average experience at best. It didn’t feel particularly special and considering the cost and reputation of good service at The Ivy Brasserie, we really would have expected better experience on the day.
