The award-winning New London restaurant has been on Chelmsford’s dining and social scene since October 2013 and it still is a relaxed yet sophisticated dining venue. The venue is full of elegance and glamour – now more than ever after an incredible redesign in March 2018. We have a reputation for seasonally inspired menus with a unique approach to homemade food which makes the New London restaurant a special place to visit. Ate here for the first time and was not disappointed. We chose an early slot, hence only 4 stars for ambience as it was very quiet, but I believe the atmosphere would improve with more customers later in the evening. Most importantly during this blisteringly hot weather, was that it was lovely and cool inside. From beginning to end, the service was spot on and the food was excellent. We will definitely return!

Staff are very polite and efficient. The restaurant has very present interior and is very comfortable. The food was simply outstanding. Some of the best British food I’ve eaten for a long time. They change the menu every 8 weeks so will definitely return. All the ingredients were of the highest quality, the the menu is daring thus the food was unique and interesting. Highly recommended

Excellent food and service. Wine choice also good and competitively priced. This is not an everyday pop out for a meal restaurant but for special occasions. The meals are also out of the normal run of flavours which seem to match up and work. If you are not put off by price and not a fussy eater you MUST give it a try. Will be back in the near future hopefully.

Lovely food , we had chateaubriand which was cooked perfectly, the desert menu was very interesting and could have chosen anyone of them. Service was good if not a little slow but restaurant was busy and staff did their best, so no real complaints

Time old saying of you get what you pay for applies here. We were relatively early 6pm on a Saturday and we liked being able to sit in comfort in bar area for a drinks first . Service was spot on all night. The scallops starter was amazing and my chicken mains cooked in a Indian style with a twist was worth the trip alone . I wasn’t aware asparagus could taste so exotic I almost closed my eyes and purred . Thankfully our friends were spared that embarrassment. Top quality food. The place was soon packed and ambience / atmosphere just right. I wish I could afford to eat here more often . I consider myself lucky to have had some fine meals in the past but this is right up there with the best. If you were considering a celebration of any kind in the Chelmsford area , look no further!
