   We went there for the Oysters, but they neglected to tell us that they were out of oysters until 10-15 mins after we ordered. We stayed and still ordered food, but it took over an hour to get our dinners and other tables seated after us were served their meals before us. They also forgot to take the oysters we originally order off the bill until I pointed it out. Over all the food was OK. Not worth all the hassle we went through. Maybe it was an off night?

   Service was not great a blonde lady brought us our food no one asked us during our meal we’re we ok my partners steak was good but he asked for more chops as portion small and charged €5 my fish felt wet we were asked to leave as a private party we were told and when we asked could we stay we were told to pay €10 Euros so it wasn’t a private party shocking service so ye gave us our food take our money and now get out never again will i goo ok inside your door I understand times are tough but that’s a disgrace to treat your customers like that and yes I will pass this onto anyone that will ask me about ye

    Food was amazing, ambience is lovely. Due to high ceilings and open space, it can get very loud with background noise due to bottomless brunch crowds. If loud background noise bothers you, not the place to be,but if you can tune it out, I would recommend, again and again!

    We booked the restaurant months in advanced and were told on the day we can only use the bar as there was a KPMG booking upstairs. The bar is no where as nice as the restaurant. The was a huge screen showing horse racing, the food took nearly 45minutes to arrive and they forgot a side order. The menu was very small with poor selection. We got the rump of lamb, it wasn't very warm and was very tough

    Oyster Tavern is one of my top three restaurants in cork it’s quietly tucked away off Patrick Street, A very nice old money aesthetic. The food was fantastic, I had a steak with green veg & jacked potatoes it was excellent My girlfriend tried the prawns (starter) with jacked potatoes , they were delicious. The service was excellent, very polite and great manners/vibes. We had a glass of red & white wine both were great! Value for money 100%.

    We had swordfish and a chocolate dessert with a nice bottle of New Zealand white. Everything was perfectly cooked, the service was perfect and the ambience was magic.

    Food was delicious! Ciaran was looking after us and he was brilliant, very knowledgeable and couldn’t have been nicer!! The only thing that we missed was the scampi they aren’t on the menu anymore and they were super! Would highly recommend!

    Dined on April 7th. This was our fist time here. Menus are changed monthly and we were given a mix of Old ones with no updated one for April yet, each had different options and led to confusion. Steaks was cooked to temperature but had some gristle. Service was attentive with some Inexperience. Ambience was trendy and upbeat, maybe consider some lower key music in the restaurant versus piping the DJ from the bar throughout the whole property. Cocktails were good.

    Overall 100% recommend. If I had to write a “but” maybe would say the music too loud. Sometimes difficult to hear and listen each other. Will certainly repeat.

    I had the most lovely brunch with my mum and sister. The food was lovely. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. There was the most amazing entertainment as well, which was a great bonus. I will definitely be back.
