About this restaurant

  • Charming
  • Great for brunch
  • Neighbourhood gem
Feel like an aristocrat in 1920's Paris. Travels to authentic tea rooms in Paris inspired fashion designer Karen Elizabeth Lozner (owner of Karen's School of Fashion) to create her own "1920's in Fashion" Tea Room experience — an elegant place for breakfast, brunch, lunch, dessert, High Tea, and special events.

Karen E. Lozner graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, where she studied Fashion Design. She has worked for some of the finest brands, including DKNY. Now, after years of experience in New York's Garment Center, Karen welcomes the opportunity to share her love of fashion and great food with others.

The Parisian Tea Room offers a seamless blend of elegance and charm. Join us for breakfast, lunch, afternoon and high tea, and enjoy live jazz music every Saturday afternoon. It's a beautiful space for hosting exquisite parties and events — Fashion Shows, Baby Showers, Bridal Showers, Birthdays, or just a "Girls Day Out."

The place is beautifully decorated and the music was very nice. It had a wonderful Parisian vibe and the staff was friendly! However I had to give a lower rating on food and value, we were told by staff that a few of the items were out of stock and we also waited a long time for the food. It was a nice experience but it could have been better.

The french tea was delightful. The tea room was cozy and intimate, nicely decorated, and the atmosphere was relaxing. Our food and drink were delicious, and our server Syndey was absolutely wonderful and very attentive. Highly recommend.

We were very disappointed with our Haute couture experience at the Tea Room. There were many flies and gnats in the seating area throughout our meal, having to be swatted away from our food and then visibly crawling on the pink seat upholstery. The service was rushed and the servers were franticly anxious - unaware of what they were serving (when asked what the soup of the day was, they responded with "well, whatever the chef decides") and then couldn't explain the contents of teas or bring us the box/ingredient list - even with a known allergy at the table. The person in our party with an allergy (which was shared with the server) was served two separate courses with the known allergy on the plate, and we had to repeatedly ask what was being served, remind them of the allergy and request new plates. The soup was served in a cup smaller than our teacups and we ended up having to sip directly from the cup. The creme brûlée on the dessert tray was not cooked (liquidy). The "live jazz" during our afternoon tea was a very energetic woman in a keyboard who sang so loudly, we couldn't keep a conversation at our table, and tried many times to get the small groups in the restaurant to sing with her - really taking away from the intimate and relaxing experience we had hoped for. We paid the same amount for an incredible meal the following day at an actual French restaurant that left us full and satisfied. This was a waste of $200.

This was my third time at the tea room and unfortunately it wasn’t a great experience. The ambiance is beautiful and it feels like you are in Paris. The issues we had were with the breakfast. The menu states that you can have bread and a croissant and a choice of juice and a choice of hot beverage with eggs and fruit. In reality, there is no bread and you only get one drink (juice or hot beverage). The croissant was absolutely delicious, but the scrambled eggs were disappointing. No salt or pepper and none on the table. The breakfast is very pricey for what’s included. Also, the hot chocolate came out cold. Our shared fruit, cheese, nut plate came out after everything else, and again was very pricey for such a small amount of food. I’m very sad our third visit was so disappointing as I had my friends with me this time.
