    Enjoyed our Afternoon Tea visit! The tea tray was yummy, but wished there was a little more cream/jam for the scones. Tea was hot and quite often our server returned to warm our pots or offer us service. An exciting surprise was the little birthday cake brought to us with a candle for my Mother’s birthday! The ambience and was peaceful and we were well attended to.

    For an Afternoon Tea service to use tea bag rather than premium lose tea should be a non-starter. Pastries and finger sandwiches were ok nothing great. Egg salad sandwich was decent and smoked salmon roll not very good. Scones accompanied very pedestrian cream and raspberry preserve.

    We went for a birthday. We all had the traditional tea service but we were able to tweak the sandwiches based on preference, the staff were very accommodating and attentive. Our service had great recommendations for tea, their selection is quite extensive. He paid attention to when we were finishing and brought a piece of cake with a candle! All in all it was a 10 out of 10 experience!

    High Tea was delightful! The inn is charming and quirky. The food was delectable. There were choices, and a great variety. More than a full meal! Staff was friendly and accommodating. Loved it!

    This was a pleasant afternoon tea experience in Victoria. A bit cheaper than the Fairmont and less busy. Nice surroundings tea was very good as was food. Would have been nice to have some older more authentic China. Liked the table cloths. Nice afternoon.

    The Pendray Tea House is in an ideal location, literally a 2 minute walk from the Black Ball ferry and a short walk to the main attractions of the Inner Harbor. It's in a lovely Victorian house with beautiful decor and an elegant tea setting. Patrons spoke quietly at their tables, so the experience was special. Service was pleasant, but our water wasn't refilled until toward the end of the service and we weren't offered more tea. Perhaps that is normal at an afternoon tea. We would have been happy to pay for more tea. I didn't think the taste of the food was very special, so I was a little disappointed. We had the traditional afternoon tea. The scones were superb - the best ever - and the egg sandwich was delicious. The selection of teas is excellent. The price was reasonable. I would go again as the ambience, location, and price were very good.
