   Excellent, high quality, ingredients used for all courses. Careful, appetising presentation. Friendly, professional, courteous and efficient staff. Fillet steak is outstanding. 100% worth a visit, and should be supported to keep it going, as whilst Carrick has copious eateries, none match the level of the Red Bank. We’ll certainly be back. Not cheap, but you absolutely get what you pay for. Whilst the dining room itself is very nice, it would benefit greatly from more ambient lighting, as in its current form, the room gets a little dull as the evening draws in.

    Both me and my partner got slow cooked raised beef. The meat was abundant, nice and tasty, but the fact that it was arranged in a cylindric shape gave the impression it came out of a can. The accompanying seasonable vegetables were tasteless and the boiled potatoes just a little better. Dessert: my partner had crème brulé, which was excellent. I had lemon tart which was nice, although maybe a little too lemony. Placing a scoop of ice-cream (it tasted like that rather than the sorbet it was supposed to be, in the middle of the tart killed the taste of the same, so maybe it would be better arrange it differently. We had a glass of shiraz, one of Nero d'Avola and one of dessert wine (Port?), all were nice. The menu didn't give abundance of choices, maybe having a couple of extra dishes would be better. Service was excellent.

    Absolutely yummy and service fantastic but we were sat in a v quiet spot where we were talked about by customers beside us and staring was not nice next time we will ask to be sat in the bigger room if possible! Otherwise all fab definitely coming back! Maybe a little music in that section would work better as the view to the river is lovely too... maybe bad luck as to who our neighbours where but couldn't be helped!

    Without a doubt, we will return. Classic decor, ambient temperature, good atmosphere, spacious around the table, delicious food, sufficient portions, acceptable wait between courses, complimented by highly competent and pleasant staff. Also worth noting how affordable The Red Bank is - as a couple, we made it through three courses with a bottle of red and still had change from two fifties. Highly pleasurable experience, recommended.

    We had a lovely evening and food was delicious. Our server Catherine was very attentive -lovely. Emma located my umbrella left behind on our last visit. Thank you again Emma I was thrilled to get it as it was a gift. Great evening. Cannot wait for our next visit!

    Beautifully prepared locally sourced produce in a delightful well ran restaurant. Staff were super friendly, decor stunning. Had an amazing night with friends who also were very impressed. Food was delicious.

    Very nice food. Good sized portions. I am vegan and there were very good options on the starter, main course and dessert menu. They also had a choice between almond and oat milk for my coffee . So a good place to go if you are vegan or vegetarian . Reasonably priced. I would go back

    We went to the Red Bank last night and had a great time! Couldn’t fault the food, the staff or the cocktails! We had goats cheese and wings for starters and fillet steaks with lots of sides for main, it was absolutely delicious!!! We will definitely be back again in the new year!!

    Wonderful holiday meal at The Red Bank! The welcome, service and food were all outstanding. We had a wheelchair user in our party, and the staff were very kind and efficient in accommodating special needs. This was our second visit recently, and both times were excellent. One of the finest restaurants in Carrick-on-Shannon — highly recommended!
