Lovely meal out for birthday. Staff and service all very good and happy. Really enjoyed, underatandable music on a friday night but little loud for ending of a meal i couldnt hear my partner too well across the table and it was before 9pm, my only complaint music very loud at dinner setting. Everything else was lovely!

Had reserved in advance, got a table opposite the bar, the waiter brought the wrong drinks, still water instead of sparkling, one pint of beer instead of half a pint. We couldn‘t find something we liked on the menu, so we paid and left and went next door to Mc Leary‘s, where we had an absolutely delicious meal.

We booked an early table for two at a restaurant called The Reg in Waterford, for our Anniversary. When we arrived we were told the restaurant doesn't open during the week - it was Thursday evening - nobody told us! We were told we could eat in the bar! We had travelled a long way, it was late in the day, it was raining outside and we didn't know any other restaurants else in the area. We reluctantly decided to stay. We both opted for fish cooked beer batter with Chips, Mushy Peas and Tartare Sauce. There was no beer in the batter which was burnt and inedible and the fish was completely overcooked. The Chips were just ridiculous, tiny pieces that looked like leftover ends. The Mushy Peas has no seasoning whatsoever and the Tartare Sauce was clearly a cheap brand and was quite bland. An hour after leaving 'The Reg' my wife was violently sick. We won't be going back and if you're reading this review move on.

The beyond burger and fisherman's pie were both very good. The staff were really friendly but the service a little slow. Slightly disappointed that the 'traditional music' wasn't a bit more traditional but a lovely night out.

Well where to begin. I booked this table for my husband my young son and myself, for my husbands Birthday. We were serviced by an excellent/ friendly waitress, the food was excellent, the cocktails were divine and the overall ambience was great (even for a cranky baby). Only flaw was that they would not prepare a Birthday cake for my husband. We will definitely be coming back again :). Thanks, Gillian

Only fault I have is that halfway through our meal they turned up the TV above my husbands head to the point we couldn't even hear each other speak across the table, so unfortunately as soon as we finished eating we left instead of staying for drinks.

The restaurant area is small and "quaint". Actually, it is vert pleasant. The only negative was we were sitting immediately below a loud-speaker emitting music. In fairness, the volume was turned down when we requested it. The menu is quite small and a tad uninspiring. I opted for a Caesar Salad as a starter and it was excellent and generous in size. For the main course, I had the burger which again was generous, tasty and well presented but the choice reflected a somewhat restricted and uninspiring selection. Service was good. Our waitress was pleasant without being intrusive.

The Reg is a great gastro pub right on the quay front in Waterford, good atmosphere and the waiting staff are very friendly, personable and efficient. It's our second visit there as we were visiting Waterford, we ate there in July 2021 and decided to go back.

I had the chicken sandwich and it was perfectly crisp, the chips were just right. My husband had the fried fish and it was a good size portion and it was also very nice and crispy. We shared the brownie which was delicious.

We had a wonderful dinner at The Reg. The staff were professional, friendly and helpful. This might sound silly, but we were overjoyed to find seasonal greens on the sides menu - not seen very often on our travels. The food was delicious, hot and plenty. We would definitely recommend dining here.

The staff was very polite and attentive, and the food was delicious. We ordered a steak and a veggie burger and they were both above and beyond. We also were under a tv that was up loud but the staff turned down immediately upon asking. Drinks were also good!

Booking was very professional and they contacted me a couple of days before to see if the booking was still on. We were welcomed and shown to our table. Explained the specials and soup of the day. Everything was executed to a tee and went very well. No rushing and no long waiting. Timing perfect. Would definitely eat there again, if and when in Waterford.

It was the best meal I’d had in a week in Ireland. SO delicious. Everyone was very friendly & helpful. Stayed after dinner and moved into the bar to try local Waterford Whiskeys and hear incredible live music! Highly recommend.
