As a group we were there on a very busy night but the service was not good. We were waiting a considerable amount of time and had to remind staff on more than one occasion of our order. Bar staff in particular were nothing short of rude. At least waiting staff were friendly.

Shocking service, took 15 mins to get a menu, another 20mins to order, 30mins wait on drinks, just overall really poor service. Hotel itself was lovely, we were going to the 3arena for a show which we were late to because of the poor service. Such a pretty hotel, it is disappointing the service was so bad.

No record of my booking despite reserving three weeks in advance and confirming the day before. Took 40min for a soft drink to arrive. Waited 10min for a menu to then have to ask to be provided with one. Waiter broke wine glass which then spilled all over floor. Waited 50min to order food. Terrible service. Lovely location but the food was overpriced for the quality. Seemed totally disorganised with too few staff. Would not recommend.

Food lovely, service awful. They didn't have our booking despite me shining the email confirmation. They could take us anyway so it wasn't a big deal. A friend ordered braised beef, they put the gravy from the turkey dinner on it instead of the advertised mushroom sauce. Her replacement didn't come until we finished ours. Our second round of drinks never arrived. We then has to get the bill amended to remove the drinks and the beef which hasn't been taken off. This was a 5.15 booking on a Friday night. Maybe they were just understaffed. The food that was right was very good and the staff were friendly and trying their best

BBQ PULLED PORK BRIOCHE BAP came out with no bap but on toast, which they later told us was gluten free bread ! We were not informed beforehand. Ordered drinks and ended up going to the bar ourselves after 15 minute waiting. They said they were so busy but no one at the bar ?

Worst chowder I've ever had!! Fish was not fresh, it was like rubber. Main manager in restaurant does not do well under pressure when busy, he was quite rude actually.

Lovely setting. Food was good. Service was very poor. We couldn’t order dessert despite wanting to as no one came near us and it was impossible to get the attention of the staff. Lots of niggly things - couldn’t find booking despite having confirmation, no ice buckets for wine, couldn’t get more sauce for food as staff too busy (perhaps not enough staff on the night?) To be honest, I think if we just left without settling the bill, no one would have noticed! Would hope for a better experience if we return.
