   This is the second time we have been to the Schoolhouse and we will definitely be back. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is very laid back with lovely outdoor terrace setting surrounded by greenery. The staff are brilliant, so professional, attentive and accommodating. A great little gem just a little outside the bustle of the city centre but very central at the same time.

   Super cute restaurant and bar within this boutique hotel that was once a boarding school. Reminiscent of a Harry Potter building on the outside and a quaint Irish pub on the inside.

   Lovely restaurant, good food, friendly servers. Having arrived early, we were told our table wasn’t ready, but we were eventually seated at a table which had been ready all the time! It’s a quiet restaurant with background music at a pleasant unobtrusive level. Recommended.

   Food was delicious. The chicken wings are an absolute must, the sauce is top notch. I asked for the Ribeye blue and that's exactly how it came, which is not that common in Irish restaurants. Absolutely would recommend this place to anyone, and we most definitely will be back again soon!

    It was really busy but we still got served quickly so that was good..Food was fine but I felt really overpriced. A main portion of chicken wings with no side included was €19.95. Prawn starter was €15. The food was fine but the price would put me iff going back again soon.

    Waited 10 mins to be seated when we had a reservation, 10 minutes for a drink order and 30 minutes after that we still hadn’t been asked for food. When we called for a passing waiters attention he flippantly waved us off. One of the drinks we ordered was a Guinness that was flat and had no head.

    My first time to visit the Schoolhouse for dinner. Overall it was a very pleasant experience. Our waiter throughout our meal, despite being run of his feet was extremely friendly and helpful as were all other staff we came into contact with. Booked in for 3.45 pm, but arrived early and was facilitated at an outdoor table, while waiting sipping a glass of wine which was really nice. Although the menu was limited, food served was lovely and very nicely presented. I would definitely return.

    Our table was adjoining a sofa which was occupied. Their heads were extremely close to our table which I found intrusive. Sadly, the fish in the goujons was overcooked and dried out. But service, surroundings, etc was good and enjoyable

    We felt the value for money was not too good. Food was not bad but quite pricy. Few fries with our dishes. Pepper sauce was not very creamy or peppery. Plating could be improved. Staff was very friendly.

    Front of house has absolutely no idea how to meet and greet customers . We arrived early and he never listened to anything I said or requested as he was totally stuck in auto mode , We had a pre meal drink and requested a table outside from another member of staff who was very helpful. However the FOH gentleman made us feel like this was a big deal even though the restaurant was at this stage very quite and empty, Bar staff brilliant and very friendly and helpful. Front of house needs training and an attitude Adjustment, totally unprofessional

    Great food, staff stenches to the limits . There was a rugby match on but seemed like 1/2 too few staff to services a well. Staff who were on did their best and were polite but had no chance !!

    Very good food but the experience was nearly spoiled by very poor service in the last 40 minutes- despite repeated discussions with staff members the bill and last order failed to arrive.Very frustrating as I am regular customer. The restaurant was busy given the Leinster match but no real excuse

    Really beautiful building. Food was very nice - got the lamb. Genuinely the only thing I felt was missing was some faint background music as it was otherwise almost a bit too quiet. But can definitely say I will be back and will never hesitate to head in for a quick pint with a friend when in the area! The bar staff were absolute gents and super nice to my dad. A+!

    Another excellent trip to the School House. Husband had the Black Sole, which he said was outstanding, best he ever had. I had Chicken on a bed of mash with peas and lardons, with a delicious jus. Both dishes Superb.

    A interesting building in a nice location. The staff are friendly and helpful and the relaxed feel of the place is very pleasant. The menu is not extensive, but there are enough options to suit most tastes. Best classified as 'Gastro Pub Grub'.
