   Beautiful location, very friendly and inviting staff. Nice menu (we ate in the bar) a tad overpriced ( *city prices) considering the small portions and it's situated in the middle of nowhere. But the food is very good. This is our third time there and unfortunately the service each time has been slow and chaotic with forgotten orders/ wrong orders/ very slow service. That been said we have returned because it is set in a lovely location and the staff although lacking clear management are really warm and friendly. My advice is don't go here absolutely starving as you will be waiting awhile before you actually get your meal.

   Have not been there for approx 15years as it was a place my late father loved but it was just as good Lovely food, staff were great just all round very good, will be back

   For my mother’s birthday, we had a table of 4 for Sunday lunch. Food was fantastic and 3 course meal for €42 was excellent value and menu had lots of choice. All the food was tasty, particularly the smoked fish dish as a starter and the lamb as a main. Lovely attentive service, beautiful dining room. Definitely recommend

   As ever the food , service was amazing. It was a great day cemented Mothers 80th. However the table was cramped and some of the guests couldn’t fit comfortably which they remarked as the downside of the meal. Thank you for the excellent service and the staff are so cheerful.

   Had a nice family meal to celebrate my husbands birthday . The staff were very welcoming and service efficient. Food was delicious although felt there was a lack of good vegetarian / vegan options.

   Excellent food . Very good service . We were in the signal restaurant. We normally avoid Sunday lunch out as we do not have kids but the presence of kids in the Station House was not an issue .

    Unfortunately the food served was poor and seemed to be pre-prepared, overcooked or over heated. The deserts were not edible. The food greatly let doe. The service and ambience which were very good.

    We booked the afternoon tea experience and were not disappointed. The service was very attentive without being overbearing. We were welcomed and seated promptly and our treats were delivered shortly thereafter. We had a good selection of sweet and savoury goodies, we really enjoyed the selection and variety. We thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience and are already planning a return visit.

    A really beautiful setting. It was a cold night, so drinks served in front of a roaring fire and our orders taken for the meal before being led through to the restaurant . A special night. Thank you to all.

    There was a lovely greeting on arrival, made to feel very comfortable.ike idea of having drinks first while they take your order & then when you are brought to your table, starters follow swiftly
