   Four friends met for an early (5 / 5.30PM) pre-theatre dinner in The Terrace Kitchen. Waitress was not very friendly / approachable. One of us asked for ice at the beginning, which never arrived. Following a 2nd. request, we got the ice at the very end of our meal. When one of us enquired about Tofu, she didn't know what it was / said she thought it was a vegetable! The best and most substantial of the 4 meals was the standard Fish & Chips. My skinny fries were cold / had to return them. Replacement ones were much better. One of us ordered the Vegan Curry. If the rice wasn't in a side dish, one would have thought the curry was a soup - there was so little in it / that too, had to be returned with a request for some additional content / substance. The fish dish (with risotto) was a very small portion (certainly not a dinner size!). Whilst the taste was ok, we were still hungry afterwards. I had Tiramisu for dessert, which was very disappointing - straight out of the fridge - cold, rock hard and not in the least moist, which is how it should have been. Lemon desserts were quite good. Overall, not what we would have expected from a 5-star hotel. Should mention that there was a 2nd. waitress (smaller in height) who was very nice and quite helpful and the male waiter who accepted payment was also very pleasant and helpful. Overall though, the dinner was a poor experience and we would not return, nor would we encourage others to go to The Terrace Kitchen & Social House at the Conrad.

   The Hake and Italian risotto was quiet tasteless We ordered bread and butter pudding and got tiramisu and not time to wait for waitress to change it. Not very impressed overall Lovely setting

   I booked here based on its location, I was going to the NCH and on the menu. When we got to our table we ordered a Bacardi and coke and a Pint of Bru beer. I was told that they were out of Bru, so I ordered another beer, when they brought the drinks my wife's drink was NOT bacardi and they had to replace it. We then ordered food only to be told what i ordered from the menu,"Crispy Halloumi Burger" was not available. I will never understand how a 5 star hotel can run out of food from their small menu. The service was good and the food was ok but I would be hard pushed to go back

    The service was excellent. We were a group of 6 and we arrived at different times, 3 of us ordering before the others. All the food arrived at the same time and was hot and tasty …… and good value given the high standards of the decor and convenient location ( we were off to the NCH). There was no problem for each of us to pay separately. Many thanks for making our Dining experience so pleasant.

    My sons burger had to be returned as it was not as ordered My wifes pie was very dry and returned only to be replaced with another very dry pie

    The Terrace Kitchen & Social House is a fantastic option for a pre-concert meal if going to the National Concert Hall. The menu is tightish but has something for everyone and prices are what one would expect for city center in a five star hotel, but certainly not mad. I was there as a single diner and was made feel very welcome. The staff are very attentive, friendly and professional. I had a smoked salmon and cucumber starter and a vegetarian tagliatelle, both of which were excellent. There is a good selection of wines by the glass.

    We were celebrating our wedding anniversary. The delicious food and outstanding service made our night unforgettable. Special thanks to chef Khyle and his team in the kitchen for the extra care with my food (I have a lot of allergies and sensitivities) and the personalised service. It’s worth to highlight Fergal and his team for the second to none service.     The tomato soup was excellent, pipping hot and lovely bread, the main course of chicken was plentiful and tasty, a bit short on vegetables, consider they are quiet reasonable priced and plentiful and very good source of vitamins.     This is a class restaurant and as part of the Conrad Hotel it attracts guests from far and wide. The ambience is very welcoming and comfortable. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and do their best to ensure your restaurant experience is first class. Location is ideal, especially if you are attending a performance in the National Concert Hall directly across the road.

    Advised to order from very small set menu to ensure there were no delays as we were going to NCH even though we had 2.5 hours before snow. Wine pricy & we were not asked if we wanted to taste the red first 2 Starters arrived 15 mins after other 3 even though it was only smoked salmon, we had to tell waiter ( figure they forget). Main courses were basic, chicken tender but skin not crispy. Cod was very dry, pasta dish was tasty. We informed waiter about cod and to be fair, we were not charged for 1 bottle wine. Staff friendly and polite. Very average food, would not be rushing back.
